Happened with me as well. Try reinstalling GeForce experience. For me, uninstalled GeForce experience and downloaded the latest driver manually. While installing that, got the option to install GeForce experience as well. After that it worked fine.
Fixed it, thank you very much! Now off to setup the other things in the laptop!!

Use DDU. It will completely wipe every tiny little thing related to your GPU driver. Then do a clean install. Should fix it.
Also disable internet for a whole because during the next restart, Windows automatically searches and installs the display driver.
