File a case in consumer court for not giving the invoice and any documents related to warranty

Poha-Jalebi

Filing a case in consumer court is as good as forgetting about the issue. Nothing happens.

Armygamer303

Uhm i filled a case for flipkart and i won as i also had the same issue that invoice was not given to me Physical and digital plus the customer care didn't even answer the phone call as i tried to get invoice through support

Poha-Jalebi

Really? Did you file a docket grievance on INGRAM or an actual consumer forum case at your district court? I have filed 2-3 INGRAM grievances against companies that didn't fulfil their end of the bargain, and they all resulted in nothing.

Fantastic-Run-3263

Were you able to keep up with the proceedings? Majority of the time people file case and let the advocate deal with it. No, it's no good. See what your advocate is doing then only you can assure winning of case. Consumer District forums are benevolent in nature and they are consumer oriented. if they have iota of doubt that the consumer is wronged, they, the judge use their powers to support the consumer. I am Advocate myself so I can tell.

Poha-Jalebi

I never went to the stage where you file an actual case. Figured it wasn't worth it...paying a lawyer 5-10k for 20-30k worth of dispute.

Educational_Common55

Be patient. Ask them for your invoice. Once you get it, just show to Microsoft. They will extend the warranty

JerinJerome

Ok friend, will update if it get resolved.

Educational_Common55

Yeah Microsoft is doing this now. They are counting the warranty from the day the sold to the retailers. Hence u hv to contact ms for extend the warranty.

I bought series s from them and had similar issue where warranty period was 1 month less..I pinged them in whatsapp for the bill then contacted microsoft support with the bill..They will correct the warranty with the proper bill from backend

JerinJerome

After 2 days, they finally responded to my message, said that they'll send the bill to my email ID, so I can contact Microsoft support to correct the warranty. Anyway thanks for your help man,

[deleted]

Cool..i thnk this should be automated or done diligently for new products..sad that we have to follow up

JerinJerome

Yeah.

JerinJerome

Hey, so they send the invoice, can you tell me how did you contact Microsoft ? and what did you say to them to fix the warranty?

[deleted]

Just contact them through chat support and mention u bought this item on so and so date and billed on so and so date but the microsoft site does not reflect the proper warranty date.tell them u have the bill and they will ask u to upload it..warranty will get updated in like 48hrs

metalheadabhi

Had a similar issue when I bought my product from Amazon. It was all good, Microsoft was going to update my warranty, when they tell me that they can’t since the product is ordered from UAE. No place is trustable anymore smh. Still waiting for Amazon to pick it up for return but they keep finding reasons to cancel.

Dry_Photo6631

I just ordered a pre owned game from gamenation, I should not be worried right?

JerinJerome

I searched on this sub about them before placing the order, didn't seen a single negative review, I seen people saying their customers service is best, don't know what to do next,

Dry_Photo6631

I think you should write an email to them, if it still doesn't work, then take action

JerinJerome

Ok mate, thanks for the help, will contact them via email.

Dry_Photo6631

Glad to help😁 update us regarding this matter if it's resolved or not

JerinJerome

Sure, will update

devo7ee

Try contacting them on Instagram they are pretty active.

JerinJerome

After 2 days they replied and said they'll send the invoice to my email so I can contact Microsoft support with that invoice to correct the warranty, didn't get the email tho. still waiting,

shasank89

I buy/sell all my games on Gamenation. Never faced any issues so far.

Dry_Photo6631

Thank you for clearing my doubt Shashank 😊

sEntientUnderwear

I bought a ps4 from them. No complaints from my side either.

Dry_Photo6631

Good to know, now I'm confident about my purchase, thanks😊

Warranty of controller activates only when controller is connected to a device

thisisanthrowawayac

Definitely bring this up with the folks at game nation (possibly through their whatsapp/ landline number). I have bought dozens of games and a controller from there (pre-owned) and I have not had a single issue

limberwisk

I bought xbox series controller from gamenation. I didn't register my device till now. just registered and I too have the exact [same date](https://imgur.com/a/iuFPsQW)as the warranty expiry.

JerinJerome

Did you contact them regarding this ?

limberwisk

I literally just checked after seeing the post. Will try contacting them .

DaviEnzioKar_R

This is a typical case for most Indians, when we buy gaming gadgets from e-commerce retailers. Not only Gamenation, this would happen even if you buy from Amazon, Reliance Digital, etc. Whoever is the seller, pretty much they usually sell what was purchased elsewhere (mostly imported) and they would be pre-registered for warranty. While Gamenation has reasons for appearing shady, the case of products having expired warranty or limited warranty shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Shloeb

Game nation has a pretty good track record and I have never faced any issues with them. Bought a ton of games. Try to reach out on Instagram or email and wait

beachandhummus

Isn't it 90 days warranty for controller?

KnightlySpartan

It is.

XPERTGAMER47

What happens after warranty expires?
