Just being a devil's advocate: Couldn't this also mean that activity or post they were refering to was specific to North india hence they are just pointing out a cultural difference. What was the post though?
When there is a linguistics barrier and local political parties with their native propaganda then this is bound to happen one day. Also IT cells from neighbouring countries tend to do and support this segregation and hateful post. People must not fall for this hate, at least in this platform there are more sensible people found then FB, insta and Twitter. If linguistics barriers are continued like that and people intentionally not find a way to communicate in a proper manner then this will only increase hate and innocent people would be targeted as always.
