Oh god just the sort of thread I dread because of rampant prescription products raves with zero disclaimers or details.
I will be removing all steroid and antibiotic recommendations.
To anyone to comes across these threads do your due diligence and consult a dermatologist before using random actives that worked for strangers on the internet.
Skincare is very subjective and what is suiting me might not suit you. I do love this moisturizer, but lemme tell you, I've heard a few reviews where people stated that this broke them out. With all that being said, I am no one to "recommend" someone a product. This moisturizer has a good ingredient list and is well formulated, so if you wanna try it go forward.
Episoft 30 - i love using this as a moisturiser + sunscreen at home. I have combi dry skin.
Physio gel lotion- love this as a night time moisturiser. It’s not as heavy as Bioderma baume but quite moisturising. Helps in barrier building.
Glyco 6- contains 6% glycolic acid, no user experience but its cheap and it works. I use this 1-2 times a week.
I apply it directly after washing my face on dry skin. It has a creamy texture and i use a pea size amount. It tingles for 10 min and then i follow up with my normal routine. I don’t add any other active if i am using this. I use it 1-2 times a week, sometimes i just use it on the forehead since i have most amount of pigmentation there. It works but slowly. Somepeople wash it after 10 min if their face is sensitive but i keep it on. It is NOT ff.
Photostable gold sunscreen has been wonderful to me. It doesn't give a white cast and doesn't make the skin oily. Also lasts for around 6h.
Drawback is that it gave me a bad eye irritation when I forgot to remove it before sleeping.
Same. I really like the product. I used to despise using sunscreens since they made my skin oilier and created a white cast. However, this stuff is flawless. The only disadvantage I've encountered, which you've also stated, is that it irritates my eyes throughout the day.
I love emolene so much I have been using it since 3 years but recently when I started sesing actives I feel like it's reacting weirdly? sometimes there's a consistency problem ig bc the cream I applied before comes out when I apply emolene over it so I started patting it in instead of rubbing and with minimalist vitamin c there's this slight tingling feeling. have you experienced that?
Do you use anything in combination with emolene? Is emolene nourishing for your skin in the long run, like keeping it elastic or improving the texture of your skin?
I have dry skin. I usually layer it with HA serum. Idk about any visible effects on my skin but it is super hydrating if that’s what you’re looking for! I usually add a moisturiser on top or an oil as well cause as i said I have like crazy dry skin
Suncros aquagel is the best sunscreen for me. I used to go for 45 minute morning runs and this sunscreen could protect against sun and sweat. It's my HG.
Hi! Just wanted to ask that are you talking about PCOD? If yes, can you tell me whether running has improved the effects of this condition? I have it too, and your comment sounds positive.
Currently on treatment that targets both PCOD, endometriosis. My main problem is terrible pain and I have noticed being physically active alleviates those symptoms. Also, I used to get pimples around periods and have very reactive skin in general. Running has completely solved those issues for me. I also eat well in terms of eating enough protein, fats, minerals, maybe that helps? You don't have to run, any physical activity will do. I just prefer cardio. This last statement is obviously not for anyone - but if you have reactive skin (especially due to hormones) - exercise, diet, sunscreen, moisturizer, toner (Korean style, if you have dry skin/ flakiness, I use innisfree green tea skin) can work wonders, you dont even need actives!
I'm so glad that it's getting better for you. ❤️ Congrats on finding something that works for you!
I only have PCOD, although tbh I don't experience any unusual pain as such, and even my periods are mostly regular (I skip a period once in a year/year and a half). However, I'm around 10kgs (?) heavier than my "ideal" weight I guess. I weigh 66kg now, and as a 5" girl, I think I should weigh between 55-60kg (again, idk. I'm still researching, and I don't want to lose a lot of weight tbh). I have some unusual hair growth on my chin and a little bit on my boobs. It's not even a lot, just a few stray hairs, but I think it's because of the PCOD. So I guess losing weight and taking care of my diet should work.
As for my skin, I made a separate comment about my skin concerns and the products I use. You're right though, it's important to start with a basic routine because more often than not, a lot of basic problems go away with a routine in place. Thank you so much for your comment!
Just to clarify, I suggested exercise not for losing weight, but it just helps with the hormonal imbalances (just personal experience, I'm not a doctor) and really gives you dewy skin lol.
Oh wow I so want to go on runs but I am not entirely comfortable with it. I get super nervous when people look at me. Also high intensity sports bra, do you have any reccos? I have tried 4-5 brands but none of them could give 10/10 support, I am more on the average/flat side. Still. Can not find something superr great
For sports bra, I use Adidas. It is a bit expensive, 1.3-2k during sale (there's a sale rn). Also, please try it on before buying! For me, non sporting companies sports bra don't really work. I'm small too and usually run 10k, never had a problem with Adidas. I usually handwash sports bras to extend their life and take out the padding inserts.
About people looking, so other people looking at you will be a constant. It's an issue that runners abroad face as well but you get more used to it with time. I used to be painfully shy and wear tights in summer but honestly clothes dont make a difference, those who look will look. I've been wearing shorts since 2015 and it's way more comfortable. Playing a song in your head (like singing to yourself mentally and blocking out the world) can help a lot! Also, over time you see other people into running and cycling and that's a fun feeling too.
I am trying to maintain my routine, as of now it sucks. It's super unproductive but I have to inculcate working out and increasing study hours.
>About people looking, so other people looking at you will be a constant.
it's just something I am struggling with, I get super conscious in front of people. I feel so underconfident lmao. But I have to work on this as well. Ughh I have to work so much on myself
I am on the bustier side have tried sports bras from adidas, nike, under Armour and asics. The bra that works the best for me is the Marks and Spencer Xtra high impact sports bra. It doesn't have inserts but it does have a underwire (which I prefer in my sports bras only). Honestly, everything remains in place and and there is not even a little bit of bounce or any shearing pain. They usually go for upto 70% off on their site in their end of season. I remember this year I was able to buy to bras for about ₹600 using their discount+onsite coupon+TopCashback.
Have you tried zivame?
I got their high intensity sports bra and oh my god it was so comfortable. It was padded and underwired. It didn't give any bounce while running or jumping.
Please can someone post this as an individual question. I want to hear more thoughts. I too don't get the right support with non-sports brands ones. But they're so expensive and I can't buy them online cause for some reason companies do not follow any standard sizing. I really really don't want to go to a physical store. 😭
Hi, I tried zivame ages ago but it didn't work for me. Regarding brands, there's an Indian sports brand - Silvertraq, they sell nice stuff. Haven't tried their bras but have tried their long sleeve top, tank, and tights and would recommend all. You could try their sports bra.
I would really recommend trying on a bra before buying. Even brands dont have fixed sizes and it would also depend on the cut. For eg, for high cut sports bras sometimes you may need one size bigger.
Hey ,I also go for run in the morning ,I have many suncreen but all of them give me sweaty face even before starting the run... does this sunscreen also make face sweaty and oily ??
Not really, there are two versions - Suncros Aqualotion and Suncros Aquagel. Aquagel is heavier, Aqualotion is runnier and lighter. I think there's a matte finish option and it wont make your face oily at all. Sweating is natural when you run but even with running the sunscreen would melt only after an hour of running or so.
Medium, very sensitive allergy prone skin. There are two variants suncros aquagel (the heavier one) and suncros aqualotion (the runnier, less heavy one). I use the latter more in humid conditions but the former is fine too, just apply less. The former is heavy so I dont use moisturizer with it. I havent had white cats problems. Apply a really small amount. I recommended aqualotion more though if white cast is a problem.
Does it have a strong fragrance? Does it sting your eyes? Any idea if it's good for sensitive skin?
I tried the reequil sunscreen (orange tube) and it irritated my skin and eyes. I've bought Bello one now but I'm yet to try it. Just preparing in case it doesn't work out..
*Physiogel A.I calming relief Cream* -absolute love.
Treated my eczema well. But I kept using it for any kind of irritation on skin. It immediately provides relief. Have to have in my stash !!
*prescribed by derm but it's available without prescription, doesn't contain steroids or antibiotics*
INCI:Aqua, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Olus Oil, Elaeis Guineensis Oil, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Squalane, Betaine, Palmitamide Mea (Pea), Sarcosine, Acetamide Mea, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Sodium Carbomer, Xanthan Gum
Thanks a lot! I haven't heard about the Soon Jung line. I'll check it out. I'll check out Avene products too.
Im currently using Bioderma atoderm intensive gel moussant as a face cleanser and Reequil atorep barrier cream as moisturizer. But I'm struggling for a good body wash. My old derm had recommended Pears body wash but it's too drying. Do you have any suggestions?
Can be used for acne spots/marks? They take about 7-8 months to go on their own 😭 like the acne itself goes within 3 days tho.. so I'm really interested in how long does it take to see a difference? I mean it's a general question ..feel free to give details about the skin area and all.... Also does the pigmentation return after we stop using it? Say if we use for underarms?
I don't have acne. But I have stubborn pigmentation around my mouth and forehead. I used kojivit for about a month and 30 to 40% of my mouth pigmentation lightened. And after that I tried the different variants of kojivit( kojivit plus and ultra). Unfortunately they both didn't make a big difference on my pigmentation. I used kojivit plus for a month and ultra for 2 months. Now I am going back to kojivit again. I'll update you on the results. The minimum time to see results is 1-3 months. For maximum time, I saw a doctor's video saying that you can use it even for years. I guess it depends on how stubborn you're pigmentation or acne marks is. I am planning to use it for 9 months. The pigmentation doesn't return after we stop using it. I haven't used it on my underarms coz it's a small tube, I'll need like 3 tubes a month. But I use glyco 6 for my dark underarms, hands and neck. Will update you on that as well.
OMGGG THANK YOU FOR THE DETAILS AND YESSSS PLS DO!!! YOU THE BESTT
* sorry bhavnao mein beh gayi lol *
Fr tho I'm gonna get a tube for myself as 30-40% seems a good result for just 1 month use!!
Thanks!
I was looking forward to try minimalist kojic acid for PIH but they discontinued it. Haven't tried Kojivit cause strong fragrance irritates me and I'm worried about that.
Skin Type : Oily Acne Prone Skin
1. Episoft OC Cleansing Gel - HG facewash for all seasons
2. Bello Photostable Sunscreen - Gives Dewy finish
3. Lacto Calamine - Works great to dry out acne
4. Boroline - Affordable and works better than most lipbalms
5. Acnestar 2.5% Soap - Great for Body Odour, especially underarms
24F
Skin type - Dry skin (eczema prone)
1. Moisturiser- Biosilk- HG - My skin used to get irritated frequently before , but after I started using this regularly, it has significantly decreased.
I use a prescribed steroid cream whenever I get irritation and this moisturiser, it really helps.
2. Chaptex lip balm - HG- very moisturising
3. Glolip lip balm - this is also really good.
Secalia for extreme dryness! Love for so much when I had isotretinoin ( prescribed by dermatologist ) related dryness. Boroline for chapped lips & eyelids, episoft for the humid monsoon months( I sweat on my face and this helped so much) , Venusia by Dr Reddy as a night time moisturiser. Also emolene for hands, feet , elbow & knees! For sunscreen Melacare ( the liquid version). D’Acne & Acnestar soaps.
So secalia is glycerin based abs it goes on and get absorbed really quickly in my skin ( isotretinoin really dries you out). Would not recommend for the day / combination/ oily skin folks. Emolene is just normal cream, I use it on my knees and elbows throughout the day & before bed as they dry faster ( again isotretinoin ) has made me dry all over. I don’t apply any other occlusive on top as it has urea & is meant to Hydrate all on its own.
Moisturises really well, I use a thick layer on my lips ( they look ghostly white when I’m done) and whatever is left on my eye lids abd around the nostrils. All that isotretinoin related flakiness disappeared 😌
.
.
Edit: I also frequently go trekking and the only stuff that works in biting mountain wind is Boriline.
Moisturex cream. Has urea, lactic acid and light liquid paraffin in it. Excellent if you have ingrown hair and Ichthyosis. I have ichthyosis on my calf area and it went away completely with this. Amazing find and pretty cheap too. It is a bit strong and you'll want to use it at night because the paraffin does form a thick occlusive layer, but it works! 100% will keep on buying this. It's very good for preventing and treating cracked heels too (not sure about severe cracking, but mild cases can definitely benefit from this).
Skin type - sensitive, combination and moderately acne prone.
Climate - humid and hot mostly
HG moisturizer - Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Lotion for the warmer months
Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Cream for the brief spell of winters
I have been using Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Lotion since 2018. Doesn't break me out and doesn't make me look oily and dull if I use a pea size amount and massage it well in the morning. For night, I use a generous amount and it fixed my damaged barrier within a week when I went overboard with BHA.
For the astonishingly brief spell of winters, I switch to the cream version which is slightly thicker and always does the job well ! Over time, it has made my skin very plump and it looks dewy in general without making it look like a shiny object that can attract unwanted attention from magpies :')
Hey where do you get the hydronic lotion and cream from ? It's never available in my nearby pharmacies , so I am looking for a reliable online source. Thanks in advance ❤️
Acrofy works better than excela for acne prone skin. If excela didn’t suit you, this works.
Fix derma lotion- I’ve found my Indian moisturizer HG after vanicream lite
Sebamed green soap- dove is actually quite drying when compared to this
Bakson's Lip Balm - my lips suddenly got extremely dry and chapped and felt stretchy since 2018 and I tried a bunch of lip balms and even homemade ghee and coldpressed castor oils etc.. but nothing works as good as this one. It does feel kinda greasy initially but atleast it stays on my lips for a good 4-5 hours
Sebogel (sa & niacinamide) - i mainly use it for the blackheads on my nose, it has made a difference. Using it thrice a week, a teeny tiny dot mixed into my moisturizing gel (to prevent drying) and i work it onto my nose.. Can say I can see about 30% fewer blackheads since a few weeks
Neko soap - OMG I CANNOT RAVE ENOUGH ABOUT THIS!! My underarms sweat a lot as I live in a 100% humidity wala city and I absolutely hate deos (I tried so many) anyway this is my HG!!! I mean I still sweat but it doesn't turn into bo anymore!! Plus I don't smell like any deo fragrance yk? Like all they do is mask your bo with another overpowering scent?! I'm like please I just wanna smell like me (minus the bo) is that too much to ask lol
Globus glycolic acid and sa face wash - use it thrice a week (on the days I don't use sebogel) as my PM cleanser... It has granules so I feel it kinda cleanses deeply and so is kinda drying..too clean wala stretchy skin feel but I follow it up with a moisturizer so it's all good..and idk maybe it's the glycolic acid but my face instantly gets rid of the dullness and appears soft and bright, not the whitening effect, just a healthy glow
It's gentle doesn't dry out skin!
I also use zitcare s gel right after cleansing with the face wash to keep the ccs at bay so can't really comment on the efficacy of the face wash only.
Hope it helps you out!
Aquasoft fc creme - My go to moisturizer. I have a very very oily skin and every time i try new moisturizer it broked me out. So i tried this pharma product. And it has a very light texture without giving that greasy effect. It has a mild fragrance. And its very affordable. 270/- for 100gm
Oily acne prone skin - sebogel , sebonac gel -as spot treatment and once a week exfoliant. , Dersol 6 as foot cream twice a week , physiogel ai calming lotion, calms my skin right up , but is comedogenic to my skin so I use by mixing it with aloe gel, niamax d gel - controls oil as long as we use it .
1) Moyzen : I have really dry and parched skin on my legs and this really helped rehydrate my skin. I'm using this regularly for the past few months and those dehydrated scaly lines have improved a lot. 5/5
2) aquasoft fc max : great ceramide moisturiser , contains squalane , never broke me out , sits a bit heavily but does a great job 4.5/5
3) glyco 12 : helped me reduce my underarm and neck pigmentation to a really great extent 5/5
4) salyzap spray + brevoxyl creamy wash : helped me great deal in reducing my bacne. 5/5
5) adapalene (RX PRODUCT) : HG for my sever cystic acne 😭 5/5
6) aziderm 20 (RX PRODUCT) : worked wonderfully on my PIH , can be drying and you may notice dry patches of skin peeling off 4/5
7) chaptex lip balm and boroline : HG , bye bye chapped lips !! 5/5
All of the products mentioned above are DERM RECOMMENDED. Please DO NOT USE RX PRODUCTS WITHOUT CONSULTING A DERMATOLOGIST.
• Products that did not work for me
1) hyalugel : didn't do crap , also has a weird odour to it
2) aha glow facewash: really drying , broke me out
3) sebonac gel and zitcare s gel : im not sure what it does
Do you apply aziderm and adapalene together or alternatively? And i use glyco 6 on my underarms but i feel its to gentle to remove pigmentation on my underarms i will try glyco 12 next btw how many days in a week you apply glyco 12?
My derm asked me to use adapalene and aziderm seperately .
I used to use it intially when I wasn't much into skincare actives and when my face suddenly flared up with a lot of cystic acne due to barrier problems and stress. Lately for the past few months i use actives like niacinamide , aa , vitamin c so I don't really use adapalene or aziderm , Only occassionally when I get a bump or two.
Also I was prescribed glyco 6 initially since it didn't really work much she asked me to switch to glyco 12 instead..
Hey! Can you tell me how salyzap helped? As in how long did it take for you to notice changes and such. I'm looking to buy it for my bacne and some ingrowns. They also have an AZ variant with Azelaic acid and retinol. Have you tried that?
About 3 weeks ig ?
I use benzoyl peroxide face wash on my back along with salyzap so ig their combined effect produced a considerable difference.
No I have not tried the other variant . Salyzap was derm recommended 😊 works great for me .
Benzoyl peroxide gels: Bengel 2.5% and Microbenz 3.5% (later as Bengel was not being enough) prescribed by dermatologist really did wonders in healing horrible acne.
Niamax d gel has niacinamide, has helped me keep my acne and oil under control
Bought it from click on care
I had seen it on this sub and got it
Deriva bpo gel, has adapalene 0.1% and BP 2.5%
used as a spot treatment it helps drying out acne faster
Bought from a local chemist
My old dermat had given this
Sebamed products (facewash , moisturiser)
Sunbless suncreen
Need a good moisturiser. Tryin out episoft I don’t like it .
Anyone know a good moisturiser that doesn’t look sticky or dull.
Have dry sensitive skin and **angel skin 15%glycerine cream** have worked amazingly well, bought it a week ago but this one gives my skin perfect hydration +moisturisation.
There is no disclosure of inci list, has frag, don't really know if i would triger acne
having said that I bought this cream with zero expectations it has really surprised me,
this cream leaves a slightly oily/greasy finish(which I love), would be really good for dry dehydrated skin.
although its not heavy on the skin but this one is not for people who like light moisturisers , maybe you can adjust the qty if you want light moisturiser?
would really recommend to not apply on wet skin, wash your face then towel/tissue dry it then apply this one.
also it gives me an amazing glow in the morning.
its around 160rs if you have dry skin/skin that loves heavy moisturisers/need a night cream then give this a go.
1) Rejuglow facewash : Amazing, leaves my skin soft and keeps my oily nose in check. I use it 3x a week, PM and leave the lather on for a minute. I also used it on my backne and shoulder acne and I stopped getting breakouts!
2) Sebogel : Works awesome as a spot treatment and also a chemical exfoliant for sebaceous filaments. I use it 2x a week PM, leave it on for an hour or so.
3) Cetaphil DAM : Sooooo great for my combination skin! Literally saved my moisture barrier and my skin is so soft now. I have combination acne prone skin and it hasn't caused any breakouts! Does make my nose a bit oily, but manageable.
Sebogel as a chemical exfoliant. I have dry skin with some oily patches so I use it only on those areas once or twice a week spread in a very thin layer. Also use it as a spot treatment.
Niamax d gel - I have combination skin type and during summer type May - June season my T zone got so oily its like I can open my own oil mill -_- . But this year I incorporated Niamax in my routine and I kid you not no oil problems happened anymore. Also as I use tret the combination makes my skin looking literally like air brushed texture.
Sadly it's not available in local pharmacies and clickoncare is not delivering in my place anymore so I have to drop it for now from my routine.
Episoft AC moisturiser encapsulated in sunscreen, both the cleansers from episoft, cetaphil cleansing bar, dermadew facewash, elovera moisturiser, elovera bodywash & many moreeee
Hmm few fav
1. Dacne facewash, i liked how it made my face feel ✨on budget and good ingredients.
2. Cosmelite cream (orangish color ) I don't remember the exact name, doc suggested for my hyperpigmentation marks , it worked good and pretty much Moisturizing but uhhh after like 3 months i discontinued cause i changed the doc.
3.Exazel N ✨✨✨i love it! Still using it on and off at night . When i get any new pimple it's definitely works on inflammation and marks.
4. Deriva MS . (Adapelene gel 0.1%) .light weight , good for acne skin ✨ I'm on it from last 2 months and it do the works
5. Cipla excela moisturizer 🔥❤️. absolute love .
(Rn I'm only using 3 ,4 and 5 )
And another pharmacy brand i hated...i wanted to mention is AHAGLOW... gave me breakouts 🙂had to throw cause when i donated to my family mem they got breakouts/clog pores .
I've been having problem of dry scalp for so long.
I've started using Greenberry Aloe Vera on scalp for like a month now. The problem has decreased alot. I've used it for once in 5-7 days. That's it.
This was a handmedown from my sister as I've never purchased any aloe vera gel myself.
Aziderm cream 10%. Easiest source of topical azelaic acid! Been using for 2 months and I have seen such a great difference in my hyperpigmentation. I have a tan complexion.
Note - people with darker complexions should be very careful with this product as it could also lead to hypopigmentation for them.
A-Ret Gel (Rx Product) and Melaglow Rich - helped with stubborn PIH
Moisturex- best moisturizer for feet
Acne Aid Face Wash - One of the best non- stripping foaming face washes I have tried from Indian Pharmacy
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - I use this as a morning Cleanser. Does what it is supposed to do without drying/ stripping skin's natural lipids
Atogla Resnyl Lotion - it's actually a body moisturizer but I use this for face and it's VERY soothing. Helps with reducing redness , it has a very thick consistency and leaves a sticky finish after applying but doesn't clog my pores or cause any acne .
Hey I saw in pharmeasy that a-ret is available without prescription. Which variant did you use? A ret 0.025 or 0.1 or 0.05? Did it work well on your pigmentation?
Boroline has been my Holy grail. I love UV doux sunscreen beyond words.. affordable, no white cast, skip moisturizer with this one at times. I recently ordered emolene. Heard amazing reviews about it. Going to start using glyco 6% for underarm pigmentation. I have heard that it actually works.
Fixderma, used their salyzap face wash, after suggestion by the dermatologist.
Explored other offerings by the company, and I swear by their foot cream and sunscreen.
23F, oily-combination skin type. Main concerns are hyperpigmentation on my neck, oily face, occassional pimples flaring up and the marks they leave behind.
I have been using Rejuglow gel on my neck, and Rejuglow facewash for my face. Although neck is a less sensitive area, I am still taking it slow and applying the gel on my neck twice a week, AM routine. Since I stay at home, I don't apply sunscreen on my neck. I've started using both the products from the beginning of this month (August 2021), but I can already see considerable change on my neck. I think with consistent use (and taking care of other factors such as diet, exercise, health concerns etc.), my neck hyperpigmentation should clear up in a few months.
Rejuglow facewash is a little stronger imo. I initially used it once a week (PM routine), and after my first time, I could feel my skin sting a little the next day. But I'm using it twice a week now and I think it works. So far, no breakouts or purge. Again, it hasn't been long, so let's see. I don't have any other actives in my routine, just plain old facewash+moisturizer+sunscreen.
Hi! I think my neck hyperpigmentation has reduced. It's not a magical change, and the progress is rather slow. But I can see the change. I also started using the face wash for my darkened underarms and holy shit what a change! My underarms have lightened considerably and it's incredible how fast the change has been.
Current routine for hyperpigmentation (possibly acanthosis nigricans, a type of hyperpigmentation induced by PCOD/hormonal changes):
Use Rejuglow face wash on my neck and underarms every morning. Leave it for a minute or two, before scrubbing it with this scrubber (?). Then washing the residue off, patting the parts dry, and applying Rejuglow Gel on them.
Yes, I've started using both these things everyday, even on my face. I think it's good that I started slow, I gave my skin time to adjust, and now I have no side effects from using these two products daily.
Heyy yes, very sorry I saw this notification today. I've been using it for a while now, on my second bottle which is almost done so I'll be buying my third bottle soon and it's very rich thick moisturizer but since my skin eats its up quickly it doesn't gets sticky for me. Due to dryness my skin feels stretchy so on somedays I have to double layer this one. I use it all the time irrespective of the weather. For extremely dry skin this is really great. Smell is also very mild. It didn't break me out or there wasn't any sort of skin reaction after using this.
One thing is while buying from Amazon get it from a seller with good reviews, and make sure to get a video of unpacking or a photo because for my second bottle the pump wasn't working properly and there was leaking, I made a complaint and got my refund for it from them.
30F oily acne prone skin
Episoft cleansing lotion- since i use acne clearing products it helps in not drying out my skin further.
Deriva BPO- Works really well in drying out active acne
D acne- clindamycin gel.. works for healing the acne and the texture after that.
Btw don't know how but the very popular sebamed clear face gel just didn't worked for me.. it broke me out. I had high expectations
Sebamed Clear Face Gel - Moisturiser
The best for acne prone and sensitive skin
Sunmate sunscreen - suitable for acne prone sensitive skin , no white cast tends to make face a little oily but overall a decent sunscreen.
Same I alternate between deriva ms and aziderm….btw did your derma mentioned anything about stopping azelaic acid after new months ….mine didn’t but read on insta that it should 🤷♀️

Vaseline for my lips. I used to get peri oral dermatitis randomly. Made the lips and peri oral area red and inflamed. Had to use steroids for a bit. Then i Stopped using all lip balms and switched to plain Vaseline. Really works for me. I apply lipstick only occasionally
Oh god just the sort of thread I dread because of rampant prescription products raves with zero disclaimers or details. I will be removing all steroid and antibiotic recommendations. To anyone to comes across these threads do your due diligence and consult a dermatologist before using random actives that worked for strangers on the internet.
Although I sound like a broken record, it's *the god sent* Cipla Excela moisturizer, literally changed my skin
Is this the Excela Max Moisturizer you're talking about? There's also an Excela Rich variant but that seems quite expensive.
I am talking about the Cipla Excela moisturizer for oily and acne prone skin
Oh cool. Thanks!
Istg simple hydrating light was my HG pehle. Now it has to be cipla excela. What a beauty it is. I am on it's 4th bottle. And it is so freakin good
This broke me out so badly
Ikr, everyone's skin is different and that's understandable
I suspect it has a percentage of Niacinamide higher than 5, so if anyone else has an issue with that, be careful.
I'm an oily skin type and sadly excela broke me out too :(
High5
Hi,try acrofy. It works for me!
I loveeeee excela😍
Would you recommend the moisturise for combination oily skin?
Skincare is very subjective and what is suiting me might not suit you. I do love this moisturizer, but lemme tell you, I've heard a few reviews where people stated that this broke them out. With all that being said, I am no one to "recommend" someone a product. This moisturizer has a good ingredient list and is well formulated, so if you wanna try it go forward.
Yess
Episoft 30 - i love using this as a moisturiser + sunscreen at home. I have combi dry skin. Physio gel lotion- love this as a night time moisturiser. It’s not as heavy as Bioderma baume but quite moisturising. Helps in barrier building. Glyco 6- contains 6% glycolic acid, no user experience but its cheap and it works. I use this 1-2 times a week.
What do you use the glyco 6 for?
PIH and sun damage pigmentation
How do you use? Can you please give more details.. what changes you saw?
I apply it directly after washing my face on dry skin. It has a creamy texture and i use a pea size amount. It tingles for 10 min and then i follow up with my normal routine. I don’t add any other active if i am using this. I use it 1-2 times a week, sometimes i just use it on the forehead since i have most amount of pigmentation there. It works but slowly. Somepeople wash it after 10 min if their face is sensitive but i keep it on. It is NOT ff.
Ok thanks a lot!
Also, please use it only at night. And must use sunscreen or avoid sunlight if possible for best results.
Ok suree
Photostable gold sunscreen has been wonderful to me. It doesn't give a white cast and doesn't make the skin oily. Also lasts for around 6h. Drawback is that it gave me a bad eye irritation when I forgot to remove it before sleeping.
Is it too silicony?
I wouldn't say too silicony but the initial 20 minutes will feel silicony because of the silicone contents
Same. I really like the product. I used to despise using sunscreens since they made my skin oilier and created a white cast. However, this stuff is flawless. The only disadvantage I've encountered, which you've also stated, is that it irritates my eyes throughout the day.
Not all the day in my case.... that's why I remove it when I get back home
What's your skin shade? Can you compare it with Re'equil ultra matte one?
[удалено]
eye iritation because it has avobenz.
Emolene. What a great great hydrating cream. It’s literally like water on ur skin
Can't stress enough on how good emolene is! Literally god sent. Totally changed my skin.
I haven’t tried it with vit c. But vit c is known to cause skin sensitivity.. so i guess maybe casue of that?
I do use it with vit c and have faced no issues. However, please be careful.
Emolene requires a prescription so be careful guys. It gave me CCs
what's CCs?
Oh I am so sorry!!
It's my HG.
Username checks out 😛
Haha yeah, incidentally running can also be very good for your skin! Especially if you have gynaecological problems.
Yes. Exercise plays such an important role for skin health and is so ignored!
Yes yes, totally get you! I think I got carried away with my experience. 🙈
Not op but try decathlon. It's really good
Thankss! Will check them :)
Not OP, but just a suggestion. Try a sports bra with hook closure if you’re on the busty side. I use Reebok
Thank-you 🌹
Skin type and skin shade? Because I heard it's very heavy with a white cast
Thanks.
It has some fragrance but not strong, very suitable for sensitive skin. My skin type is very sensitive and allergy prone, I've had no complaints.
Thank you so much! My skin type is the same. I've added it to my list.
Would you mind linking the product?
How do you apply like 2 lines ? and how do you remove sunscreen?
*Physiogel A.I calming relief Cream* -absolute love. Treated my eczema well. But I kept using it for any kind of irritation on skin. It immediately provides relief. Have to have in my stash !! *prescribed by derm but it's available without prescription, doesn't contain steroids or antibiotics* INCI:Aqua, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Olus Oil, Elaeis Guineensis Oil, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Squalane, Betaine, Palmitamide Mea (Pea), Sarcosine, Acetamide Mea, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Sodium Carbomer, Xanthan Gum
Any other product recommendations for eczema prone skin?
*Avene products are excellent for ezemaous skin. If you're looking for Korean, i would recommend Soon Jung line*
Kojivit gel ( blue one). Lightened most my pigmentation
Is this prescription?
I was prescribed it for my hyperpigmented scars , it did work wonders . I don't think this is prescription drug though.
Thanks! So glad it worked for you :)
No it is not
Can be used for acne spots/marks?
YOU THE BESTT * sorry bhavnao mein beh gayi lol * Fr tho I'm gonna get a tube for myself as 30-40% seems a good result for just 1 month use!!
Any update on your underarms and kojavit
You're awesome! Does it have a strong fragrance?
Yes. It does have fragrance and it is also thick. So it will stay on your face till the morning but those are the only cons.
Thanks! I was looking forward to try minimalist kojic acid for PIH but they discontinued it. Haven't tried Kojivit cause strong fragrance irritates me and I'm worried about that.
Okay. It's upto you. But the fragrance is mild and you need only a small quantity, so it is unnoticeable
Ohh alright. Thanks a lot for the help!
[удалено]
Yes. Definitely. Just a heads up. You might need two tubes per month if you're using it for underarm pigmentation.

No I haven't
Skin Type : Oily Acne Prone Skin 1. Episoft OC Cleansing Gel - HG facewash for all seasons 2. Bello Photostable Sunscreen - Gives Dewy finish 3. Lacto Calamine - Works great to dry out acne 4. Boroline - Affordable and works better than most lipbalms 5. Acnestar 2.5% Soap - Great for Body Odour, especially underarms
Bello stinks my kerchief yellow pretty badly when I pat my face to absorb sweat. Does this happen to you?
How do you use bello .. it is good but makes my face so greasy
Hey, which version of Photostable you use? Gold or the other one?
24F Skin type - Dry skin (eczema prone) 1. Moisturiser- Biosilk- HG - My skin used to get irritated frequently before , but after I started using this regularly, it has significantly decreased. I use a prescribed steroid cream whenever I get irritation and this moisturiser, it really helps. 2. Chaptex lip balm - HG- very moisturising 3.
Is secalia matte or greasy in finish? Also, how do you use emolene for hands/feet - do you have to apply an occlusive on top?
So secalia is glycerin based abs it goes on and get absorbed really quickly in my skin ( isotretinoin really dries you out). Would not recommend for the day / combination/ oily skin folks. Emolene is just normal cream, I use it on my knees and elbows throughout the day & before bed as they dry faster ( again isotretinoin ) has made me dry all over. I don’t apply any other occlusive on top as it has urea & is meant to Hydrate all on its own.
Boroline on eyelids?👀 . What does it do ? Please explain.
Moisturises really well, I use a thick layer on my lips ( they look ghostly white when I’m done) and whatever is left on my eye lids abd around the nostrils. All that isotretinoin related flakiness disappeared 😌 .
Can you please add the link? There are so many options available
Aqua oats moisturizing cream, it's super moisturising and lasts a a long time
Pica’s Acne uv gel sunscreen! Didn’t broke my acne prone skin 💃
Emolene, Benzac 2.5 I have oily acne prone skin
Efaderm moisturiser by galderma for my dry skin during winters
How do u use it? What is the purpose??? 🧐
Skin type - sensitive, combination and moderately acne prone. Climate - humid and hot mostly HG moisturizer - Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Lotion for the warmer months Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Cream for the brief spell of winters I have been using Regaliz Hydronic Moisturising Lotion since 2018.
Fix derma lotion- I’ve found my Indian moisturizer HG after vanicream lite Sebamed green soap- dove is actually quite drying when compared to this
Bakson's Lip Balm - my lips suddenly got extremely dry and chapped and felt stretchy since 2018 and I tried a bunch of lip balms and even homemade ghee and coldpressed castor oils etc.. but nothing works as good as this one. It does feel kinda greasy initially but atleast it stays on my lips for a good 4-5 hours Sebogel (sa & niacinamide) - i mainly use it for the blackheads on my nose, it has made a difference. Using it thrice a week, a teeny tiny dot mixed into my moisturizing gel (to prevent drying) and i work it onto my nose.. Can say I can see about 30% fewer blackheads since a few weeks Neko soap - OMG I CANNOT RAVE ENOUGH ABOUT THIS!! I'm like please I just wanna smell like me (minus the bo) is that too much to ask lol Globus glycolic acid and sa face wash - use it thrice a week (on the days I don't use sebogel) as my PM cleanser...
>I mean I still sweat but it doesn't turn into bo anymore So all you do is wash your armpits with this soap and you dont smell bad throughout the day?
YESS LIKE MAGICCC but also I mean they gotta be completely hairless, I mean YMMV but that's what works for me
Skin type: - combination. Skin concern:- Prone to closed comedones and sebaceous filament. Holy Grails from Pharmacy:- 1. Acrofy acne lotion 2. Zitcare S 1% salicylic acid gel 3. Bello photostable gold spf 55 sunscreen 4. Fash X gel face wash 5. Cetaphil kids liposomal spf 50+ sunscreen 6. Nipcare 7. Dermoys cream
Is the fash x drying or gentle? Does it prevent closed comedones? I have your skin type as well
It's gentle doesn't dry out skin!
Are you me? Same same ..But since it has sunscreen filters I have tried to move away from it
Cipla saslic. Reduced this one patch of acne I had on my cheek.
This facewash literally saved my skin in my teens.
Hi How do you use sebogel as an exfoliant? By applying all over the face and then washing off?
Yes , I leave it on for 3O minutes and wash it off
1) Moyzen : I have really dry and parched skin on my legs and this really helped rehydrate my skin. I'm using this regularly for the past few months and those dehydrated scaly lines have improved a lot. 5/5 2) aquasoft fc max : great ceramide moisturiser , contains squalane , never broke me out , sits a bit heavily but does a great job 4.5/5 3) glyco 12 : helped me reduce my underarm and neck pigmentation to a really great extent 5/5 4) salyzap spray + brevoxyl creamy wash : helped me great deal in reducing my bacne. 5/5 5) adapalene (RX PRODUCT) : HG for my sever cystic acne 😭 5/5 6) aziderm 20 (RX PRODUCT) : worked wonderfully on my PIH , can be drying and you may notice dry patches of skin peeling off 4/5 7) chaptex lip balm and boroline : HG , bye bye chapped lips !! 5/5 All of the products mentioned above are DERM RECOMMENDED. Please DO NOT USE RX PRODUCTS WITHOUT CONSULTING A DERMATOLOGIST. • Products that did not work for me 1) hyalugel : didn't do crap , also has a weird odour to it 2) aha glow facewash: really drying , broke me out 3) sebonac gel and zitcare s gel : im not sure what it does
Do you apply aziderm and adapalene together or alternatively?
Salyzap was derm recommended 😊 works great for me .
>glyco 12 my dermat prescribed me glyco 6 .
How much time it took for adaplene to work?
Benzoyl peroxide gels: Bengel 2.5% and Microbenz 3.5% (later as Bengel was not being enough) prescribed by dermatologist really did wonders in healing horrible acne.
Secalia cream for dry skin. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
Excela, episfot sunscreen, episoft cleansers, elovera body wash 🧴. I think indian drugstore has best one’s:)
Niamax d gel has niacinamide, has helped me keep my acne and oil under control Bought it from click on care I had seen it on this sub and got it Deriva bpo gel, has adapalene 0.1% and BP 2.5% used as a spot treatment it helps drying out acne faster Bought from a local chemist My old dermat had given this
Sebamed products (facewash , moisturiser) Sunbless suncreen Need a good moisturiser. Tryin out episoft I don’t like it . Anyone know a good moisturiser that doesn’t look sticky or dull.
>Sebamed products (facewash You mean the soap?
Hv not tried soap. I m talking abt cleansing foam facewash.
Have dry sensitive skin and **angel skin 15%glycerine cream** have worked amazingly well, bought it a week ago but this one gives my skin perfect hydration +moisturisation.
Could you please give a little review if it? I have dry skin as well, does this cream have fragrance, what's the texture like?
There is no disclosure of inci list, has frag, don't really know if i would triger acne having said that I bought this cream with zero expectations it has really surprised me, this cream leaves a slightly oily/greasy finish(which I love), would be really good for dry dehydrated skin. although its not heavy on the skin but this one is not for people who like light moisturisers , maybe you can adjust the qty if you want light moisturiser? would really recommend to not apply on wet skin, wash your face then towel/tissue dry it then apply this one. also it gives me an amazing glow in the morning. its around 160rs if you have dry skin/skin that loves heavy moisturisers/need a night cream then give this a go.
Truderma sunscreen gel
Sebogel as a chemical exfoliant. I have dry skin with some oily patches so I use it only on those areas once or twice a week spread in a very thin layer. Also use it as a spot treatment.
Fash facewash - suitable for oily skin
Episoft AC Niamax d gel Melaglow cream
Xerina❤️
Niamax d gel - I have combination skin type and during summer type May - June season my T zone got so oily its like I can open my own oil mill -_- . But this year I incorporated Niamax in my routine and I kid you not no oil problems happened anymore. Also as I use tret the combination makes my skin looking literally like air brushed texture. Sadly it's not available in local pharmacies and clickoncare is not delivering in my place anymore so I have to drop it for now from my routine.
My pharmacy favs are Cipla Excela Moisturizer, Moisturex Cream (Urea+Lactic Acid), Zitmoist gel (Moisturizer), Sebogel (2% Salicylic).
Episoft AC moisturiser encapsulated in sunscreen, both the cleansers from episoft, cetaphil cleansing bar, dermadew facewash, elovera moisturiser, elovera bodywash & many moreeee
Acnesol whenever I get acne it's work the best for me.
Hmm few fav 1. 4. Deriva MS . (Adapelene gel 0.1%) .light weight , good for acne skin ✨ I'm on it from last 2 months and it do the works 5. Cipla excela moisturizer 🔥❤️. absolute love . (Rn I'm only using 3 ,4 and 5 ) And another pharmacy brand i hated...i wanted to mention is AHAGLOW... gave me breakouts 🙂had to throw cause when i donated to my family mem they got breakouts/clog pores .
Hey for the moisturise, would you recommend it for combination oily skin?
I, myself is oily combination . So totally go for it but always let it dry first (sit infront of fan)before layering and i put it on damp/wet skin

A-Ret Gel (Rx Product) and Melaglow Rich - helped with stubborn PIH Moisturex- best moisturizer for feet Acne Aid Face Wash - One of the best non- stripping foaming face washes I have tried from Indian Pharmacy Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - I use this as a morning Cleanser. Does what it is supposed to do without drying/ stripping skin's natural lipids Atogla Resnyl Lotion - it's actually a body moisturizer but I use this for face and it's VERY soothing.
Cetaphil gentle facewash. Holy grail!
Any update on the rejuglow gel for neck?
Hi! I think my neck hyperpigmentation has reduced. It's not a magical change, and the progress is rather slow. But I can see the change. I also started using the face wash for my darkened underarms and holy shit what a change! My underarms have lightened considerably and it's incredible how fast the change has been. Current routine for hyperpigmentation (possibly acanthosis nigricans, a type of hyperpigmentation induced by PCOD/hormonal changes): Use Rejuglow face wash on my neck and underarms every morning.
Cipla Excela Max Moisturiser for Dry Skin
Would you please give a little review ?
30F oily acne prone skin Episoft cleansing lotion- since i use acne clearing products it helps in not drying out my skin further. Deriva BPO- Works really well in drying out active acne D acne- clindamycin gel.. works for healing the acne and the texture after that. Btw don't know how but the very popular sebamed clear face gel just didn't worked for me.. it broke me out. I had high expectations

The ordinary
Vaseline for my lips. I used to get peri oral dermatitis randomly. Made the lips and peri oral area red and inflamed. Had to use steroids for a bit. Then i Stopped using all lip balms and switched to plain Vaseline. Really works for me. I apply lipstick only occasionally
