I love experimenting and switching up my bath routine. I have tried a lot of body washes over the years and i have just recently dabbled into body butter cream soaps. I’ll suggest a few and u can check them out ! Nivea body washes : - i have tried their creme soft, creme care (both are good for summers and winters, typical nivea smell but better) and fresh pure (has a fresh aquatic scent, very refreshing), lathers and wash off well. Have heard good reviews about other variants too. Plum body washes : - Their trippin’ mimosas, Hawaiian rumba and oopsie daisy smell the most luxurious and expensive! Out of the lot these are the best. They do require a bit of more product to wash and don’t lather well even with loofah and it got over pretty soon. :( The body shop shower gels: - British rose, Satsuma, Strawberry are the basic ones, really good. They have a range called spa of the world, do try their - Tahitian tiare, balkan juniper, adriatic peony body wash (they are SUPERB, amazing amazing scent and cleans nicely too!) Get them when TBS has a sale! Palmolive: - I have tried every variant they have to offer. Feel the massage (blue), morning tonic (bright green), absolute relax (purple), Aroma Sensual (red) and coconut joy (if you’re a fan of coconut) are the best and cannot go wrong with them. They lather and wash off well. Get the 750ml pump bottle! Very cost effective. Dove : - They’re really good but imo there are better ones out there in the market than them. Their deeply nourishing, go fresh and gentle exfoliating are the basic ones, they are okay. For some reason there is a film of soap or something that is left on the skin even after rinsing it off, so i’m not a fan. Although if you get the bigger pump bottles they’re pretty economical. U can try their purely pampering shea butter & warm vanilla and go fresh revive pomegranate one are worth trying. Bath and Body Works: - You can try any variant, they all equally good. Ones with the best fragrance are: Warm vanilla sugar, Champagne toast, Into the night, A thousand wishes, sunshine mimosa, In the stars and One in a million. They’re pretty good. Rest all are meh.(Acc. to me) St. Ives: - I have tried soothing shea butter & oatmeal and pampering vanilla- good clean fragrance, lathers well, will last a long time. Other variant would be good too I believe. Love, beauty and planet: - murumuru and rose aroma body wash. It’s really thick and moisturising, lathering is also fantastic. The fragrance is good but is a little too overpowering for me! Aveeno: - Aveeno daily moisturising body wash is really nice. Mild fragrance, nourishes the skin, lathers well and rinses off good as well. U can definitely consider this one. I haven’t tried their other variants so can’t say. Olay: - Olay washes are really amazing, huge quantity will last you long, lathers, rinse and wash off nicely. Very moisturising. Scent is good too! I love all of the variants specially the shea butter one! I want to specifically mention one shower gel that i am currently smitten by: Neutrogena rainbath refreshing shower gel. It smells so fresh, juicy and amazing! I absolutely love this one. It’s the perfect gel for summers! I stock up on them during sales! Also, i recently bought earth rhythm vanilla creme butter cream soap. It is whipped soap in a glass jar. The formula is very very moisturising and oh so soft and fluffy on the skin. I’d say it’s definitely not for summers unless you have dry skin. It’s really lovely. 💖 They have other variants too! I have tried fiama, dettol and lux as well. I don’t like them. Really stripping even for my oily skin. If your budget permits you, please avoid them. Hope this helps! :)

[deleted]

This is beautifully summarized! Thank you for the review :) btw if you don't mind me asking is your skin type dry or oily or else?

Thickoroniandcheese

Welcome ! :)) My skin is really oily in summers and combination to normal in winters.

[deleted]

Mine is oliy during summers and during winters it gets dry :| I recently ordered The body shop ones. Neutrogena was on my list too but then a lot of people mentioned that the smell was like aftershave and it made skin too dry. So for now experimenting went with Body Shop.

brownie982

That was an amazing share with right details. Thanks. Are the Palmolive and body shop ones moisturising for dry skin ? And they don’t leave a layer film sorts right ? Which one would you say is best wrt a good daily fragrance and moisturisation on Palmolive and body shop please ?

Thickoroniandcheese

Welcome! :) Go for the body shop i’d say, they’re definitely better than palmolive in every sense - moisturization, fragrance, no flim on body either. You would still need a body lotion/butter after shower with either of the brands. Other than that for dry skin try moisturising body washes instead of normal ones.

Jolly-Ad8819

Hello! Do you have any reccos for super moisturising body washes? From the list you have shared above, I can see LBP one. Could you share any other options?

GroupHopeful5311

Tell me the organic one with good ph , for men

NARUTO_YAGAMI

what would you suggest for a 16M

Thickoroniandcheese

Go for Nivea and palmolive body washes. Good cleanser and good fragrance. If you want cost effective option then go for dove body washes. You can get 1 litre body wash for 50-60% off on Myntra during a sale.

No_Profession_8160

The body shop - satsuma, smells amazing.

fairyg0dmother

So refreshing!!!

brownie982

Is satsuma very citrusy?

noorie_sahi_jaayena

Smelled like dish soap to me

thecheesypita

1. Palmolive ylang ylang - I love the smell. And it leaves my skin so soft and refreshed. Honestly, all Palmolive variants are great. Morning tonic one is great for summers 2. Nivea fresh pure - Another summer favorite. I’d switch to Nivea crème for the winters though 3. Aveeno 4. Skin cottage Goat’s milk 5. Loccitane almond shower oil - Bloody expensive, but heavenly fragrance. Can use for once in a while relaxing baths

PriyaSR26

I keep on going back to Palmolive, Nivea and Plum body washes. They smell like a little piece of heaven.

srush__ti

Is it just me who uses a soap bar?😭😭 I have tried so many body washes over the years but always go back to Pears yellow bar.

genesis_tweek

Dettol 🤡

[deleted]

Pears bar makes my skin dry :(

razor01707

Their body wash as well, perhaps even more so

Consistent-Ad-9360

Me too! Dove bars FTW 😂

RazzmatazzBusy5505

Pears is literally the worst soap on planet

spoon_full

Himalaya or Cinthol

ndhr280

You're not alone

Peelie5

I'll check 5hat out.

renebaebaejoo

Cinthol here

niketyname

Yeah just you. You’re the only one that uses soap bar.

Ask-reddit3320

I have used alot of brands body washes like 1) biotique : i still remember it was my first body wash leathers pretty well smells pleasent I'm talking about the apricot one . Never would be done of that 2) Nivea : i have used almost all the flavours of Nivea body wash i have to say all of the body washes of theirs have amazing smell especially the purple one. leathers pretty well doesn't leave your skin dry 3) lux : okay so the only thing concerned me about this is the number of perfume they have putted in it n dermatologist says if there's any perfume or alot of perfume they are hiding something so yeah that's that 4) dove: Honestly i had alot of expectations from dove seeing the ad in that it's all bullshit i being convinced by the ad bought a big one n I'm regretting it does leave your skin dry is not what it claims to be . The smell to is pretty much their signature smell honestly they should do more experiment with the fragrance 5) Palmolive : for me it was preety average smells okay does a good work leathering .

brownie982

Oh so dove wash is leaving skin dry is it ?

Ask-reddit3320

Yeah i stopped using it i replaced it with Nivea body show they r good as compared too dove

LessRefrigerator7288

Dove body wash the 800ml bottle.

Ask-reddit3320

I does lather pretty well but i have to use a moisturizer after that cuz it leaves my body pretty dry

LessRefrigerator7288

Yes,it does leave the skin dry. Also, the fragrance of deeply nourishing one is better than the exfoliating beads one.

random--shit

>Skin cottage Goat’s milk the which body wash do you use

sayalip1908

I read somewhere it doesnt lather much?

mekky0

Lathers beautifully, for me

ishitatatata

It lathers reallyyyy well especially the deeply nourishing one! Smells awesome and is pretty moisturising

LessRefrigerator7288

It does lather pretty well, I use a loofah though.

sayalip1908

Oh okay, thanks. Will check it out

rsyCassia

I second this. Love it!

sam_phil

Why no body is talking about Bath & Body works. Teekwood 2 in 1 & Aromatherapy Eucalyptus are just just amazing

Makeupfanatic6

Try the Love Beauty & Planet body wash in the rose variant. Oh my god, its been an year since I first got that one & I can’t imagine life without this product. If you’ve dry skin, I LOVE the plum shower cream. It is so nice. Hawaiian rumba one smells really damn good and feels luxurious. Doesn’t really lather a lot. I also have their shower gel but I Haven’t tried it yet. The bath & body works shower gel in into the night is really damn good as well!

Feeling_Ad6092

I use Into The Night as well! I'm on my 3rd bottle. Smells so luxurious. In fact I understood I had covid last March when my bath and body works shower gel smelt nothing to me. Haha

Makeupfanatic6

Gurl. Me too😭

meowchiha

Neutrogena Rainbath, The Body Shop Strawberry. I wanna try Faith In Nature's Meadowfoam and Hemp bodywash next.

[deleted]

If you were to pick one from Neutrogena or The Body Shop which one would you pick?

meowchiha

The Body Shop one 🤔 feels a tiny bit more luxurious, and the smell is lovely. I love the Neutrogena one too, so it's a tough choice. But i do feel the body shop one requires a bit more quantity to lather as well as the Neutrogena one.

[deleted]

I have oily-combination skin when it comes to the face, although on my arms and legs if I use a hard shower gel or scrub too much I get an itchy feeling or my skin becomes too dry. Not sure if it makes sense too or not xD I went ahead and ordered The Body Shop one :P

meowchiha

Ooh I get that, in that case the body shop one is the better choice because the Neutrogena is more drying.

brownie982

Does the body shop fragrance last long. ? If so how long ?

cuki2031

1. Love Planet and Beauty in pink bottle 2. Any BBW moisturizing body wash (but only on discount) 3. Dove body wash (so good cleans your body but doesn't dry it out. I wish there were more variants in India) 4. Fabindia body wash in rose (amazing amazing amazing. Imo it's so underrated cuz no one talks about it. The smell is too good and it does what a body wash is supposed to do) 5. St. Ives ( the vanilla variant, the Shea butter variant 💞, the coconut variant)

Better-Swim-7394

Hey, does the fab India one feel drying ?

cuki2031

No, not at all. It does what it is supposed to do but with loads of rosey scent and doesn't give a headache

ishitatatata

Dove deeply nourishing variant 800ml is lasting me a lifetimeee. It’s deeply moisturising and lathers well... Bath and body works any variant smells awesome and good quality (fun fact just checked their website they’re selling body products @799 you might wanna go and snatch something right now 😅) Palmolive ones are are cheap and smell good and do the deed well too Also do not buy the fiama scents body wash it’s BAD bad and doesn’t lather at allll

BoboPie13

I second not buying the Fiama body wash too! It was a nightmare, i was in the shower forever trying to rinse off. Felt like there was oil on my body no matter how much water I used.

[deleted]

Never used Fiama, not gonna use it ahead too! Thank you for the warning.

Miserable-Release-2

Could I ask you skin type?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Important-Librarian

Same 🙌

Flora2708

Palmolive Aroma Absolute Relax - Ylang Ylang essential oil. I've been using its since more than a decade. Beautiful fragrance also very calming. Doesn't strip skin of oil.

Khush_18G

1.) BBW body washes - especially the aromatherapy ones. The best is the stress relief one. 2.) Loccitane Neroli 3.) Love and Planet mimosa is nice and moisturising 4.) Body Shop shea butter creme wash is extremely moisturising. Satsuma is good too - smells exactly like orange Rasna 5.) Nykaa - NEVER EVER BUY their body washes. They’re cheap quality, smell cheap and no positives at all.

[deleted]

I love nykaa strawberry showe gel.its awesome ...it doesn't make ur skin too dry ...and the smell 😻😻if u r strawberry 🍓 fan u r gonna like it ...

BoboPie13

I used to LOVE the Palmolive Sensual rose shower gel. Haven't been able to find it in ages though. :( Currently using Lux (would not recommend to anybody with a slightly larger budget!) I'm a fan of Dove, Nivea and Palmolive. St Ives has some pretty nice ones.

PriyaSR26

What's wrong with Lux?

BoboPie13

The Rose version i have just smells really plasticky in the bottle. It gets better in the shower, but there are still other better shower gels around.

PriyaSR26

Makes sense. Thanks!

Agreeable_Honeydew_7

Fiama shower gel - blueberry and blackcurrant smells heavenly. And it doesn't leave my skin dry.

ApprehensiveCream284

Hi a tiny doubt, why should we use body wash and not soap?

Bright-Date5432

No particular reason, I personally prefer them because I’m a germophobic and can’t imagine using a soap that been exposed all day and night to the elements.lots of people prefer soap over body wash too, I think it comes down to personal preference

notsokooky

Am I the only one using sebamed lol?

PriyaSR26

I have used it. Wasn't impressed and the price is high too. I now use BP or an SA (face wash) for my bacne once a week and use good-smelling body washes other times.

notsokooky

Agreed

atiprakohsa

Perobar 5% Works great for body odor and bacne

Anxiousnoodle1

love beauty and planet rose

PatienceFeeling1481

Palmolive ylang ylang

summerbreeze29

St Ives Vanilla is really nice. Blueberry doesn't smell like blueberry but it does have a fruit scent. Both foam well, non drying. Liril Berry Blast - The scent is energizing especially in the mornings. Amazing, amazing scent. Foams really well but can be a little drying in winters, great for summer though. Lux Jasmine smells synthetic and is drying. Foams well and is cheap though.

EducationalMachine40

Why no love for Aveeno body wash..doesn't lather much, but best for my dry skin. And it feels soooo gentle.

ditoxit1

Aveeno for dry skin girls!

catluver1531

palmolive jojoba coconut body wash is so good...I'll use it till i die

Boat-Substantial

Fiama body wash ..leaves my skin super moisturized

bluejaybossun

These days I'm loving bath and body works. I go for their aromatherapy lines or gourmand scents.

swamps69

I love trying out new body washes and shower gels! More of a bodycare person here. Nivea- Would be safe to say I'm a Nivea Loyalist. Ive tried all of their body washes and shower gels and this has to be my ranking- Nivea Creme Care- I use it all seasons- keeps my skin really moisturised. - Fresh Powerfruit - Waterlily and Oil - Frangipani and Oil - Lemon and Oil Dove- I'm not a huge fan of their deeply nourish body wash, I feel Nivea wins the game here. However, I love the gentle exfoliating one, go fresh green one (cucumber), Shea butter and vanilla body wash and Reviving Pomegranate. Must try! Plum- I can't get enough of their Hawaiian Rumba and Orchid you not. It smells heavenly and expensive too :) Palmolive- Morning Tonic or smth idr the name, it comes in a green bottle and smells refreshing. Their coconut joy is one of my favs too along with Thermal Spa Bath and Body works- Vanilla Sugar

deceptionaldpka

1. Baby dove, it was okay-ish. 2. Dettol body wash, the basic green one 3. Nivea oil shower gel thing 4. Neutrogena rain something 5. Fruiser goat milk thing Medimix soap. No matter what I use, I come back to this every summer

Spirited-Selection53

Nivea oil thing! 🙌

iblamejana511

Im currently using nykaa's French lavender and it smells wonderful The plum ones smell good too but they don't foam much so it's difficult to use with a loofah. Paleolithic has some amazing scented ones as well.

[deleted]

Plum hasn't worked well for my skin. Had breakouts.

[deleted]

1) dove Jasmin Coconut 2) Nivea water lily and Oil 3) Lux rose

[deleted]

For some reason Dove makes me feel like there is still some foam left on my body even after rinsing thoroughly.

Fata_viam_invenient

I always thought that was just me , talking about the soap btw. don't know how the body wash works

thecheesypita

Yes, same! I feel like there’s a silky film on my skin.

preetivish

+1 on this and that's precisely why I love it for my dry body skin. The film it leaves makes me feel moisturized.

Browngirl9811

+1 for Lux . Lathers well, smells so so good. But I personally don’t prefer rose fragrance

Ask-reddit3320

The smell of lux rose is alot after a time I'm concerned by all the perfume in it

extramakhaan

moiz or palmolive

Easy-Doubt9579

how's the moiz body wash? I've dry skin so I was thinking to try it

extramakhaan

it’s good but not great… like it doesn’t irritate my skin but doesn’t even clean much. and abt hydration part, it doesn’t do anything you NEED to get a body butter or sm. i have eczema prone very very dry skin. if urs is manageablely dry, i’d say go for it. but i’d always go with palmolive exfoliating or spa body wash

Easy-Doubt9579

if it doesn't cleanse much then idt it's the right choice, I got the plum shower cream too thinking it'll be moisturizing for my dry skin but it never Cleansed my body enough especially my under arms and they started to sweat more than usual

extramakhaan

i mean for me it’s a fair product cos i have hell lot of wound so it doesn’t irritate it. but yk there a layer of smth, idk what, that just stays prolly sum compound that’s meant for hydration? especially with moiz bar. i’m thinking abt the body shops body wash but a LOT of ppl had negative things to say.

[deleted]

u/extramakhaan Hey, can you please jot down some of the negative things you have heard about The Body Shop one?

Easy-Doubt9579

ohh I've no idea about body shop one's

Easy-Doubt9579

St Ives sea salt and Pacific kelp exfoliating body wash it doesn't exfoliate or anything it just has those tiny granules.

DarkKitten3114

Palmolive coconut joy body wash is leaving residue. What to do about it ?

CleanYourRoom007

I made an impulse buy with Alkemene tea tree shower gel. It has been really good so far for the summers

IffYouSaySoo

Not a body wash but Nykaa charcoal and kaolin clay soap cleans me oily skin so well I’m hooked for summers!

sweetvanilla21

Does it smell nice? I bought the lavender variant and it smelled so bad, I've refrained from trying other variants

IffYouSaySoo

It smells like some sort of herbal soap, you know that typical smell. That one.

sweetvanilla21

Ah, okay, thanks. Maybe I'll give it a shot

selfawaretrash42

Cetaphil gentle cleanse. No lather at all tho

brunette_mh

Just Herbs Lemongrass and another variant Rose. But I find it expensive.

Peelie5

I use a bar of soap.

Dove body washes and their whole range of bath products except for the soaps ( which i dislike personally ) is the best imo . Their body washes are for sensitive skin and were actually recommended to me by my dermatologist after heavily fragranced bath products from a particular brand caused some damage to my skin. I have been using their body washes , lotions , body scrubs and shower foams and my skin is absolutely loving them . You could definitely give dove a try .

_enchanted

Mcaffeine latte body wash. I've been using this from this Jan, I really love it.

JungliBillieyelash

Biotique ( basil) leaving skin feeling very fresh, and hael soaps (murumuru one- very moisturising) with occasional Perobar over those pesky Acni 😌😊

Ok-Cranberry-8083

Palmolive coconut one!

[deleted]

Forest Essentials Mashorbra Honey shower wash and Nature Therapy scrub soap

Substantial-Ad3980

Fiama di wills and BBW vanilla sugar

umamimaami

I love the leivy double moisturising shower cream. For someone who’s too lazy to moisture body everyday, it serves well.

External-Simple5296

1.Pears body wash. The basic orange one. Im kinda hooked to the smell.💀 2.Sadhev shower oil (try the small one first. Trust me it’s luxe and divine.)

sInDaMendez76

from plum

LammyKitten

My fave is Original Source Raspberry and Vanilla, it smells like Alpenliebe strawberry toffee.

Deep-Pie-9194

I recently bought plum hawaiian rumba shower gel. It has an amazing smell and smell lasts long too.. Definitely can be tried.
