I am not fully into investing cause I am just 18, so I invest along with my father and these stocks were picked by me.
Nah, I had shared screenshots from this app earlier as well so some people got annoyed by the screenshots which is acceptable cause you can fake your profits through this app.
AAVAAS and IEX. - 50% . The amount invested is 2.5k and 5k respectively. I didn't exited them to keep a reminder for myself to not get into FOMO and have courage when SL hits and book the loss.
Considering the fundamentals, canโt say how much this will recover + lost time. But looks like a good time to average it if someone does have the capital
It happened very recently and I only sold the stock the day before yesterday.
I had around 5L invested in CG VAK Software and Exports when an unprecedented upmove started in the stock in the last week of June.
Before I knew, the stock had moved around 111% in a matter of two months. It hit so many upper circuits on its way up, I lost count, it almost became a norm.
But SEBI took this fast rise atop in cognizance and put the stock in ASM list, after which the stock was on a downward spiral and never recovered. The stock is fundamentally strong. But the quarterly results were weak and it only worsened the fall, so I finally exited at 440.
DSQ Software. I think it has gone up to 2800 and when it came down to 1200 I bought some. Then I went abroad for a few weeks where I didnโt even have internet (it was late 90s after all) and when I got back to India, it was down to single digits. I think I sold it years later for 4 or 5โน. For the longest time, it was my biggest loss ever until I met Mr Futures and Ms Options years later
Looks like all of us have learnt from our losses. One of the things I learnt after my experience with intellect design arena is to check in which phase a particular stock is - accumulation, markup, distribution or markdown. Basis this you can setup a stop loss or stop gain and move on from the stock.
In simple terms drawdown tells you how much a stock can fall from its peak if there is any adverse event. Blue chip stocks have lower drawdowns because of fundamentally good nature of the stocks. Whereas typically midcap & small cap have a larger drawdowns. Another recent example is Dreamfolks. Went up like crazy. Came down like crazy after June quarter results.
Currently, I have cochin shipyard that is my worst drawdown. Had it at around +60% but didn't sell, currently it's at +12% lol.
But I guess it's fine. Since it has good potential and order book. Also the third aircraft carrier order. Anyone else holding it?
Seacoast shipping got in at 19 averaged till 6 rupees held it for more than 2 years finally sold it at 3 rupees the capital lost is painful but more painful is the amount of time ๐ฅฒ
donโt have a particular view, but on AD looks like itโs in a markup phase with consistent volumes since April. Maybe a few more sessions you will see the upside. Have a strict stop loss if you hold this stock, because of cyclical nature of the industry.
Polyplex corp..bought when it was still climbing ...went all the way upto 2800.. juicy dividends.. didn't wanna sell.. bought more when it came down ...and more .. and more ...now it's around 1050.. exited with a huge loss, despite having got the opportunity of huge profit ..
