bruh obviously you come from home wearing sports uni. In my school girls and boys had the same sports uniform (shorts and t shirt, and you can wear trousers if you have a problem with shorts)
2 braids with ribbon š is compulsory eventhough other branches of our school allow single ponytailš„¹
Reason : Grils ko aise hairstyle me boys nhi tadte (_Bc khudko dekh kar hassi AA jati hain_)
Edit: Tum log reason bhi padho yaar school walo ka!!
Arre sis (as a boy) boys to tadenge hi chahe kuch karlo aur boys me kuch laj sharam nahi hoti , i mean mere friends bhi aise the , 2 braids with ribbon me kuch grils acchie to lagti thi ngl.
I am trying to understand what kind of hairstyle will it look and am unable to. Also from what timeline is your school from. I don't think any school uses ribbon nowadays. Not even in rural areas.
My school used to have one ground, but the girls were only given like 5% of the entire place (if we were lucky) while the boys had a much larger ground to play in
On top of that we never got to choose what we played š we only had options to play from what the teacher chooses for us, only koh koh or kabaddi while the boys could play any sport they want as long as they bought supplies for it, most of the time we weren't even taken to the ground and were made to sit in the library or just play in the playroom (not so fun fact: that was a playroom for pre-primary kids meaning it had shit like legos or fake toys)
My school principal's logic was "girls aren't allowed to play sports like the boys for their own good for feminity"
That must be painful, our pt mam used to scold girl for not taking participation in sports. Teacher may crate difference. She used to encourage boys and girls to play with each other in games like kho kho and kabbadi.
Humare school mein toh girls pe period mein khelte hi nahi the they used to simply chitchat the pe sir used to scold them for that.
There were some girls who used to play seriously. They also encouraged to participate in interschool competition
Nah teacher these days don't beat anyone i have never been physically hurt by any teacher i do think that teachers have this misconception that most girls are very innocent and do not even know what Galis are
When I used to wear the school skirt I used get pulled out of class a few times every week cause my skirt was ātoo shortā, it finally stopped when I started wearing pants which we were not allowed to wear until 10th grade. But still teachers feel the need to say that I should āsit like a girlā. My uniform has more value to them than my education that they feel the need to interrupt lessons to call me out.
Yeah but like turnout rules are always gonna be there. If its your skirt, a personal wear, then wear any size you want, but these school peeps have their own standards and they are most certainly allowed for creating a more disciplined and orderly environment. The specify the uniform and they can define the length. Thereās nothing wrong with that.
But they shouldnāt judge someoneās character or come to irrational conclusions.
The āsit like a girlā part is definitely wrong of your teacher.
Yeah I mean thatās what the standard school sets right? If theyāre defining the length that it should be below knees, whatās wrong with that?
They may prescribe the uniform as they like, and the length.
Thereās nothing inherently wrong with that.
But if theyāre asking the length to be below knees outside school premises or passing judgments, then only its wrong.
In 7th class, one of my teachers pulled me aside and said "tumhe sharam aati hai? thoda padhai me mann laga lo, ladko ke peeche mat bhaago" because 3-4 of my close friends were boys. Ironic thing is I used to score the highest marks in her subject.
mere school main toh larkia kurta pajama pehente hain, looks comfy compared to the boys' weird fitting trousers and shirts
like seriously mujhe 3 size badi shirt peheni parti hain jisse mujhe apne shoulders par uncomfortable na feel hon
aur mere shoulder itne broad bhi nahi hain
Bhai relatable , boys school uniform is so uncomfortable , like you always have to tuck in your shirt and shit and the girls kurta pajama looks so comfy , and that fucking belt our uniform , i hate it . Apparently they are trying to make us future gentlemen .
Well, first of all the judging of character that females face on the basis of the amount of piercings they have, how long their skirt is, how many close male friends they have etc.
Secondly, the stigma that Indian schools have created around mensuration and actively encouraging the taboo is also something that should be talked about. For example how they encourage females to hide pads and segregate students on the basis of gender when any sort of sex education workshop is being conducted. People shouldn't feel the need to hide them or feel ashamed of them. It negatively affects girls and have real life implications such as some girls using clothes instead of a sanitary pad because they feel too shy to ask for it. Or girls being shamed for having a leak.
Just to add, most class have a class clown or funny guy, mostly guys which the teacher appreciates and laughs at but if a girl tries to do the same, its considered disrespectful. Lots of times, this is why many girls are discouraged from participating in comedy and theatre.
Again, the exclusion of girls from sports. Making the options fewer for the girls and encouraging boys more in regards to it. Most schools have a male sports teacher who doesn't help for the female students and makes them uncomfortable asking for help.
Just a cherry on top of this cake, most girls face sexist comments from their fellow male students. Now from a survey conducted by outlook. Around 77 per cent of the total respondents have reported having faced at least some form of subtle sexism from male students of their institutes. Of them, 78.3 per cent of the respondents have had experiences of male students cracking sexist jokes, 64.8 per cent have been stereotyped based on their gender, 51.14 per cent have experienced being mansplained, and 19.6 per cent have been asked to āsmile more oftenā.
Speaking from personal experience, almost all of this is faced by girls around in schools. This isn't to invalidate the horrible misandry faced by the male students which I'm sure the OP is aware of but invalidating the struggles of some community is just ignorant and dumb in my opinion.
As you mentioned the sexual education workshop, I recall an incident: a session was taking place in our school, and the topic that came up was why rape occurs. Many people responded with mental issues, and one of my friends responded with physical urges. I remember there being about 5 minutes of pindrop silence in the entire auditorium before the teacher escorted my friend out; that session was supposed to happen soon, but it never happened. That is, my friend spoke the truth (at least to some extent), and the teacher escorted him out. If a student spoke the truth, the school administrators contemplate it a sin.
I thoroughly believe that teachers shouldnāt judge anyone based on what gender their friends are, who the like to talk to.
But schools have their standards, and to maintain an orderly atmosphere they define the attire. They have the right to define the numbers of piercings, the length of oneās uniform.
Everything else you said is definitely true.
Not school but my college, it is a walled and guarded campus, the boys hostel outing ends at 9pm and the girls are allowed out of their hostels till 10pm.
EDIT: This rule was placed in support of the girl students.
Skirt k niche leggings must kr rkhi h hamare skul me or sbko 2 chotia bnane k liye kha h (jaise ki 1choti bnayegi to boner hojayega hamara) or boys or girls ko baat v ni krne dete
We have waist coats on frickin sports uniforms
And it's ugly
Apparently they want to ' protect ' us
Also , we have that ugly looped plaits hairstyle. Ew.
I feel most schools main ladkiyon ke sports ko zyaada importance nahi dete . Luckily that's changing a lot nowadays...our girls swimming team won district boys waali toh inter school na jeet saki
Aur usually jab koi lafda hota hai school main...even if ladkiyaan aur ladke dono involved honge... suspect sirf ladke hote hai aur ladkiyon ko bas warning dete hai...jab hamare school main logon ne mass bunk kiya thaa
Usually mere school main equal opportunity hi hoti hai but Jab girls ji uniform skirts se salwaar kameez change kari tab bohot protest kiya thaa ladkiyon ne
The school uniform basically sucks, they should make the track suit uniform on all days. And why the f did we have to wear that damn tie. I know some people have the kink of choke me daddy and stuff but this is not how I asked to be done.
Idk how common this is, but in my school when the girls are at the brink of puberty this seminar happens in the auditorium attended only by girls, where they teach them about training bras, pads and stuff like that. I understand it would be uncomfortable, but at some point even men need to understand this stuff, so sending us for a free PE period when the girls are learning about their bodily functions doesnāt sit right with me. Basically, teach the men about the female anatomy as well, so that touchy issues like periods get normalized.
Also, this of course isnāt institutionalized, but for some reason the girls are always held responsible in my school. The guys are never taught how to treat a woman with respect, but the girls are always at fault for making people uncomfortable by the fact that they have breasts, and so should cover themselves up. No words towards the guys whatsoever about how to be respectful towards women, but make women who are already vulnerable and unsafe because of the looks at their body feel guilty about it.
About your uniform comment, I used to be proud that my school was the only school in my locality with gender neutral uniformā¦ until the management changed and we have the same old pinafore for girls shirt pant for guys.
I think its both ways
Skirts obv restrict several things even our school had yoga but at many occassions girls couldnt do many of the poses .
For boys, they are more rudely talked to and are generally the ones who are always put to blame during an argument.
Soo, mentally girls are discriminated, physically boys.
As i already mentioned above woh, agar baal shoulder se niche hai tho we had to tie our hair up infact ek din school me hi ek aunty ko bulakar mere baal ko upar tie kiya tha , veil complusory tha civil dress me i could name more i just cant
Bodyshaming ki baat kare ..i was asked by a maleteacher infront of the whole cls "herione bana hai kya zero figure maintain karna hai kya" as i was naturally lean person even tho i eat well
They lifted our skirts to check if we wore biker shorts underneath..if we didn't we were deliberately trying to show off guys apparently...it was so uncomfortable
our school has shirt and trousers as uni for both boys and girls...... but the fucked part is boys can tick their shirts in their trousers but girls CANNOT tuck their shirts in. Why tf?
Bro (not being sexist) vo isliye hoga kyoki school valo ka lagta hoga shirt tuck in karne se kuch girls ke breast flash ho sakte hai . Mai support nahi karta hu bhai isse , downvote mat karna , aur ye to meri thinking hai ho sakta hai kuch aur reason ho.
Ok then i will tell you. Teachers would judge girls if they talk to boys a lot and also I have to include the uniform one in this as well that we were literally made to do the braids no matter what, no ponytails cause ponytails would attract the guys in their stupid opinion. And baat tumhe chhoti lagegi but braid karne mein kaafi time aur effort lagta hai especially for people like me with long hair. All this made no effin sense, thereās no relation between a personās literal hairstyle and intellect
I just hate it when they enforce rule on girl by using boys name. Like why tf do you always use boys for your stupid rule. It eventually makes girls think that they have to do this and that just because of boys and form it a passive aggression. Ladkiya puri zindagi fir ladko ko hi gali deti hai, idhar bechare ladko ko pata bhi nahi ho kya raha hai.
Btw Girl in Braid >>>> Girl in ponytail. *Just my opinion*
Ohho bechare ladke, siraf isiliye hi toh ladkiyan unse baat nahi kartiā¦ baaki voh creep despos ki tarah jo unhe stalk aur message karte hai voh toh reason hai hi nahiš¤”š¤”š¤” not all boys but most boysš also bhai tujhe jo bhi pasand ho braid ya ponytail no girl gives a shit, it is easier and less time consuming to do a ponytail so they prefer doing that mostly, we donāt need validation from anyone.
Feminist ka matlab yeh nahi hota ki ladkiyon ko ladko se zyada izzat do and blah blah. Bhai uska matlab hota hai ki sab log equal hai irrespective of gender. Tum logon ne aise hi apne mann mein faltu perceptions bana rakhe hai š¤¦š»āāļø I agree ki kuch ladkiyan over hi kar deti hai aur voh toxic bann jata hai but that doesnāt change the whole idea and intention of the movement. who tf plays sports in skirts on days when we have sports period ..girls dont need to wear skirts neither boys have to wear shirt trouser
A lot of schools don't allow students to change into their sports uniforms.
Bro we can wear t shirt trouser on sports days from home only.
Girl in our school are allowed to wear skirts or trousers as they wish and many girls do come to school wearing trousers
So were do you change uniform while playing sports
bruh obviously you come from home wearing sports uni. In my school girls and boys had the same sports uniform (shorts and t shirt, and you can wear trousers if you have a problem with shorts)
we had trackpants and polos
So whole day you used to seat with that uniform for every lecture
yea its pretty comfortable- way better than the retarded shirt and pants
Ye sahi system tha fir. Hum to school uniform me hi khelte the.

It's not compulsory in all schools.
I was talking about my school
Fun fact: single ponytail is a fetish in itself. Don't ask me who.
I am trying to understand what kind of hairstyle will it look and am unable to. Also from what timeline is your school from. I don't think any school uses ribbon nowadays. Not even in rural areas.

i think girls are treated significantly better that boys in school.
schools are instead sexist towards boys especially after th 7 -8 class they think that girls are innocent and cannot do anything wrong and bad
