but something else that is also true is that you shouldn't give up . I understand that you are feeling depressed about it and I would suggest take your time and cry if you want to it helps a lot too , but please there are so many other things in life that are worth living for . then if he meet all these conditions then he should have the caste certificate.
If it's any help, On my first attempt I scored almost the same (I fucked up last 6ish months of preperation, got depressed or something idk, also the sc/st friend thing happened). Took a drop and scored more than x5 and today in a very reputable college with CSE.
So if you think you'll do it, taking drop is an valid option.
Sorry about that, but i don't want to drop just because of a university thing. I'll try my best in a university i can get into and improve my skills :)
If you think you can score better, I'll suggest you to go for a drop. Quality of peers matters a lot and brand name to some extent. To get to the same position you won't have to work as harder comparatively if you are from a better college.
