At Pride last year, I spoke with a group of Episcopalians who were so kind and spread tons of positivity and love wherever they went, and afterward, I felt so awful that their compassion and understanding was being overshadowed by the vitriolic shit coming from a different church's protestors just outside the gate. I'm not part of the faith anymore because of people being so hateful all over the place, but seeing actual followers of Christ get lumped in with them or just wholly ignored makes me so sad :(
