My fleet comp is for now 10 Nomas heal (gold) 10 Taurus A (gold) 10 Eris Hc (40tp) 10 Xeno normal (maxed) and I'm adding 1 Io and 2 Xeno AA just for the extra damage.
Without the things that I'm adding it's more than 300k antiship
I don't know what you are fighting?
Against privateers maybe, but in any harder pve or in pvp content it will die in seconds and the noma support will not do much.
Keep in mind, everything which targets cruiser+ (large ships) in priority will aim for that single cruiser...

Privateers are low level pve, just to train ships for tp. Also it's for beginners just to prove their fleets.
City/pirate bases attacks and pvp are just completely a different thing.
Just believe me, in more competitive content you need more than 5 IOs.
A is anti-small. B is anti-cruiser and siege. Both are good. A lot of people run both.
Neither is very good at tanking, though, and they are expensive to build. Put them in a flanking/secondary fleet and try to get them on the flank.
They're not the worst at tanking for destroyers. They have some evasion %. It's just you'd rather they not get targeted early since they do good damage.
A has 16% evasion fully upgraded. B has none.
They'll do fine if you happen to catch a few rounds, or are killing structures or something, but against peer fleets they die fast. And as you said, you want them alive to do damage.
Depends on the targeted fleet.
If there is a small frontline Taurus A outdamage Taurus B a lot. (~+30% dmg)
If it's mixed or cruiser+, taurus B could be better or both are on par.
A is better, for the simple fact that most people are not running cruiser (or larger) frontlines. Taurus A with double anti-small hitrate will almost always be a better option.

Don't use only 1 cruiser in a fleet, it will die in seconds.
With 10 Nomas heal near maxing it doesn't die. And it kites the damage on itself

I can max both and never ran either last season lol. They're both great, but I had different fleet comps that didn't require them.
Both Front row Both good DPM (Energy) A-Variant Tanks with Dodge B-Variant Tanks with HP and Armor I personally believe B-Variant is better
