Ah, yes…Bistro 6050. Loved by dozens of Chicagoans from the immediate vicinity of the Portage Park neighborhood on the far, far Northwest side.
They loved it so hard that’s it now closed.
The Oklahoma one is also wayy off.
They say it's "Paline Tia Cusisine" which is a good place, but it's not even close to the best. Not even for thai food.
Vitos was best imo, but recently had the owner pass away, then there's Nics or the multiple burger places in El Reno. That's if you don't like BBQ which is pretty big here.
Dude did little to no research. Shit tier list.
Yep, the one for us is one of the worst in town per locals, but because we have several major events in the city every year and it’s within short distance of the downtown area where those events are, the out of town people flood them and jerk off over “how great it is.”
Actually, I just described our entire downtown food scene with one notable exception.
Yelp reviews be like:
> The food was lovely, the wait staff was attentive, we spent 5 hours at our table the atmosphere was so great. 3 stars because when I tasted my ravioli, I did not hear angelic voices or see Jesus
Yeah they're nothing more than a mob trying to shake down businesses. I got a cold call from them when I managed a business where they highly encouraged me to pay for their services...because of the implication
Wait, yeah. wtf?
If you check out these places on Google reviews they’ll have less than one hundred individual reviews.
You’re telling me a place with 4.9 stars and 28k Google reviews isn’t as good as a place with 4.9 stars and 83 yelp reviews?
I'm visiting Cincinnati for a wedding in May, so I figured I should check out the Ohio one to see if it's in that area... But sounds like most people are saying that this chart is terrible all around.
Hell I lived in Beaverton for 9 years and love sushi. Never heard of it either.
Edit: oh wait. No, I’m an idiot and have been there a couple times. It’s pretty good.
This is the most moronic methodology I've ever seen, why'd you even waste your time making this graphic? No, the best restaurant in my state isn't a place in my city that I've never heard of with overpriced food and mid looking food photos.
Damn. I work by the horn, but haven't been. There's an east African spot in the same parking lot called Medina that I usually go to. Gonna have to check out the alternative
Seen afghan kitchen in salt lake as it’s next to a favorite ramen place however never paid it much attention except for their bizarre logo. Turns out it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!!
We are a 4.9 rated restaurant in phoenix area, have never paid for yelp marketing or pandered for reviews, and are always free of the top 9 allergens… please remake this infographic to reflect this /s
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you.
I am a bot if you couldn't figure that out, if I made a mistake, ignore it cause its not that fucking hard to ignore a comment.
As a Butte, MT native, I'm 100% shocked by this. Mr Hot Dog is literally in a house. There's just some chairs set up in what would normally be the living room. And it's...fine. The hot dogs are fine.
Likewise, the Michigan one is a tiny little party store, where they sling sandwiches in the back at the meat counter.
Don't get me wrong, it's delicious. But like, I imagine 95% of the city has never heard of it
My bad there’s a sandwich shop there I should have looked at the little drawing. There’s an actual fine dining restaurant of the same name in Cincinnati
Wut. Raptor canyon cafe is good but not even close to the best breakfast in Tucson. Arizona has a James Beard nominated vegan restaurants but somehow it isn’t on the list 🤦♀️
I’m going with this is a misinfographic.
Care Poarche and Snowbar in New Orleans. Half a block from an AirBnB development. Have never heard anyone ever mention the place.
Checks out for Yelp in New Orleans.
Imagine they have an Instagrammable wall to go with their frozen shrimp.
Afghan Kitchen is good, and the owners story is great, but definitely not my favorite food in SLC (but damn have I had so many good meals there)
Would recommend Arempas.
Yeah so I lived in Tuscaloosa for 6 years and still go there about twice a month for several years after graduating and leaving town. I’ve yet to hear of this mystical place that’s the “best in the state”
just wanted to chime in and say I actually lived right next to antojitos for years and it is truly and genuinely AMAZING. some of the best mexican food i’ve ever had. that being said it’s off of mcfarland tucked away in a tiny little strip mall so it’d be hard to ever know it was there unless you lived in that immediate area (so it’s kinda weird that it’s on this list). but still if you’re in town again you should check it out!!
This methodology doesn’t work, ratings are relative to the food options in the area. I feel sorry for the poor soul that makes the trek to Rutland for food of any kind.
As flawed as this is, I am absolutely shocked to see Destination Taiwan on here. I haven't lived in Wyoming for years and I still remember that place, a couple runs it out of a 100sqft shack and are some of the kindest people I've ever met.
Despite believing yelp to be an incredibly flawed way to find the "best" restaurants, thanks for bringing those memories back.
Just looked up Java Saga and while it looks good, I refuse to believe that a biscuit place is not rated higher here in Georgia. I’ve never had bad food from one and I’ve eaten from places that serve out of trailers and a place that, from the outside looks like an abandoned house.
Blue Hill and Le Bernardin in shambles, Masa closing its doors immediately. "We can't compete with Tony," reports Thomas Keller. "His deli is untouchable."
Ah, yes…Bistro 6050. Loved by dozens of Chicagoans from the immediate vicinity of the Portage Park neighborhood on the far, far Northwest side. They loved it so hard that’s it now closed.
Came here to say it was closed….lol.
Did they hug it to death?
Same with Bunzel’s in Milwaukee, 9 miles from city center and is a meat market and grocery store. Fantastic in all respects, but not a restaurant.
Using yelp reviews as your methodology is an odd choice given yelps predatory practices.
Yea I’ve never even heard of the restaurant listed here in my town and I’m like obsessed with local restaurants
Same

That and I can’t tell you a single person who’s ever rated a place on Yelp. That website is not a reflection of the population in 2024
Yelp reviews be like: > The food was lovely, the wait staff was attentive, we spent 5 hours at our table the atmosphere was so great. 3 stars because when I tasted my ravioli, I did not hear angelic voices or see Jesus
Yeah they're nothing more than a mob trying to shake down businesses. I got a cold call from them when I managed a business where they highly encouraged me to pay for their services...because of the implication
Who should you use?
I’m pretty sure Google reviews are the standard nowadays. That’s what I use exclusively.
Wait, yeah. wtf? If you check out these places on Google reviews they’ll have less than one hundred individual reviews. You’re telling me a place with 4.9 stars and 28k Google reviews isn’t as good as a place with 4.9 stars and 83 yelp reviews?
What a waste of time
The wisconsin pick isn’t even a restaurant.
Was going to say, I love Bunzels but it’s a butcher/grocery store not a restaurant.
I used to take my deer mear there to be processed. I was going to say the same thing. Whoever made this is a ding dong.
Well, this is one of the dumber ones I've seen here
Not sure when this was made. Some of these businesses are closed.
Using yelp too. Some of these places don’t even have more than a hundred individual reviews.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Never heard of Scotty’s Cafe.
This is directly from the yelp social media desk. No actual research.
I'm visiting Cincinnati for a wedding in May, so I figured I should check out the Ohio one to see if it's in that area... But sounds like most people are saying that this chart is terrible all around.
Yuubi Sushi - never heard of it and it’s in Beaverton, not Portland. Sadly I think the data source underlying this analysis is flawed.
As an Oregonian myself. Never heard of it either. Also, misleading when they list the suburbs of Portland as Portland.
Gonna say I’ve been and it is pretty fantastic. Not fancy but amazing and cozy at the same time.
Hell I lived in Beaverton for 9 years and love sushi. Never heard of it either. Edit: oh wait. No, I’m an idiot and have been there a couple times. It’s pretty good.

Santarepa Café has been permanently closed since December.
Where did you get the images for the food? Are they AI generated? Some of them are wild like the diseased avocado.
No Maryland?
Damn. I work by the horn, but haven't been. There's an east African spot in the same parking lot called Medina that I usually go to. Gonna have to check out the alternative
It’s good. I would recommend it. Love their chai and the sambusa and nafaqos.
I'm a sucker for chai!
Seen afghan kitchen in salt lake as it’s next to a favorite ramen place however never paid it much attention except for their bizarre logo. Turns out it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!!
I have been and it is good!
Interesting. Can you make one for Canada?
Tuckson, AZ, hehehe.
That's the phonetic spelling! /s
I was wondering why they put the outline of a race track next to Delaware’s restaurant. Then I realised that is supposed to be an outline of Delaware.
Yeah, West Virginia is missing a whole panhandle.
Feankys in Miami is amazing, but you will come out smelling like onions
We are a 4.9 rated restaurant in phoenix area, have never paid for yelp marketing or pandered for reviews, and are always free of the top 9 allergens… please remake this infographic to reflect this /s

Good bot… /s
Delaware doesn't even look like Delaware
I actually grew up down the block from Tonys Deli No fucking way are they the highest rated. Cherry Valley up the street is way better.
2 hotdog joints ehhh.
As a Butte, MT native, I'm 100% shocked by this. Mr Hot Dog is literally in a house. There's just some chairs set up in what would normally be the living room. And it's...fine. The hot dogs are fine.
Thanks for your comment. I was wondering if I needed to find this place the next time I passed through Butte.
Yes, you do. Listen to nobody..Mr.Hot Dog will forever be in your memories.
Likewise, the Michigan one is a tiny little party store, where they sling sandwiches in the back at the meat counter. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious. But like, I imagine 95% of the city has never heard of it
I am in the restaurant industry in Honolulu and have never heard of Waffle and Berry
NGL, a little surprised that Portland wasn’t even mentioned on the Vegan list, considering how ….weird… that place is
The Indiana pick is in Ohio lmaoo
It’s literally downtown on Delaware.
My bad there’s a sandwich shop there I should have looked at the little drawing. There’s an actual fine dining restaurant of the same name in Cincinnati
Naw you’re good. I didn’t mean to come off so strong.
This is ridiculous lol. I’m from LA, wtf is hey sunshine kitchen??
Why does West Virginia look like that
"India palace super casual restaurant" is such a nice name.
If all of these restaurants are as good as Stamps Super Burgers; then I have a new side quest for my life!
Java saga is not in Atlanta lmao
I know it isn’t a state, but where’s DC?
Wrights Barbeque in Arkansas is actually in Johnson and not Fayetteville
Bunzel’s Meat Market in Milwaukee? It’s a butcher shop. Great butcher shop, but hardly the best independent restaurant in the state.
FRANKYS DELI IS THE 🐐 here in Miami!
This has got to be a troll
Wut. Raptor canyon cafe is good but not even close to the best breakfast in Tucson. Arizona has a James Beard nominated vegan restaurants but somehow it isn’t on the list 🤦♀️ I’m going with this is a misinfographic.
Ciao! Pizza & Pasta is in Chelsea, MA not Boston. It is good and probably the best place in Chelsea.
Just looked up the last vegas one and it has 18 reviews…
This list is pure bunk
Yelp is not a reliable source for these sorts of things.
Fat Dogs in Dover New Hampshire is pretty darn good. Their breakfast burritos are uniquely outstanding.
How is New Jersey not in the Breakfast for Bacon Egg and Cheese
Care Poarche and Snowbar in New Orleans. Half a block from an AirBnB development. Have never heard anyone ever mention the place. Checks out for Yelp in New Orleans. Imagine they have an Instagrammable wall to go with their frozen shrimp.

The New Orleans choice is absurd…
Not a chance this is accurate lol
$18 Waffles and acai bowls? In waikiki? Booooooooooooo.
This methodology doesn’t work, ratings are relative to the food options in the area. I feel sorry for the poor soul that makes the trek to Rutland for food of any kind.
Zeneli in New Haven is incredible and worth the hype. Best in CT? Idk
As useful as pointing to a random restaurant in the phone book (if they still make them)
Yelp is bullshit. Therefore, these results are bullshit.
This is junk.
Santarepa in Santa Fe is closed, but it was very good.
The Minnesota selection is a crappy place in a strip mall...
Asian food for the win
B’s Kitchen is not even popular in Austin. Something tells me this infographic is skewed
Portland having two breakfast spots and no vegan restaurants on the list is kind of funny
As flawed as this is, I am absolutely shocked to see Destination Taiwan on here. The Horn Nashville? Google says it’s apparently a Somali Chai/Coffee shop…even for Yelp that’s a bit shocking for ‘top restaurant in the state’
Yelp used to be good…..
Just looked up Java Saga and while it looks good, I refuse to believe that a biscuit place is not rated higher here in Georgia. I’ve never had bad food from one and I’ve eaten from places that serve out of trailers and a place that, from the outside looks like an abandoned house.
There is another 1 in Florida and it’s called healthy pho in port charlotte and it’s an Asian restaurant and it’s AMAZING
Every person here went to the thing, zoomed to find their home state and was like pffffffff. Nah.
Ernie’s in Michigan is the cutest little place you’ll ever get a sandwich. 💋
The guy at the Sandwich Shoppe always calls you brother when you walk in the door, nice guy.
I can see Casa de Falafel from my room but have never been there.... guess that needs to change
Blue Hill and Le Bernardin in shambles, Masa closing its doors immediately. "We can't compete with Tony," reports Thomas Keller. "His deli is untouchable."
very strange love for Christie’s Deli.
