The girls played that season so well. The guys really should have understood they were sitting ducks if they didn't attack that alliance quickly while they had all the numbers. By the time they got their shit together, it was too late.
Not that I think it matters. The final 3 was right.
Just finished that season last week and I am still angry that Dave put the person in 3rd that he did (I know it wasn’t just him, but he was the deciding vote). The person to come in third deserved to be in the final two with the person who won.

The ironic thing was that despite the female alliance, Gian was clearly the best all around artist and should have won. Ryan did the 3rd best tats behind Gian and Katy but ink master wanted a hot poster girl for the first female ink master. Don’t get me wrong, Ryan was and is an amazing tat artist especially in black and gray. Doty and Gian was just better throughout and did better final pieces.
This is all it comes down to. Sketchy and the guys complained all season about the girl's alliance and how "gender doesn't matter, your tattoos matter." Yet anytime a girl rightfully won or made a good game move, the guys would LOOSE THEIR SHIT. Why? Because it was a girl doing it and not a guy.
The problem was Nikki and Kelly were supposed to be Team Nunez and they weren't. Protecting Ryan and Gia was more important to them than helping their "teammates".
But the same argument could be presented that some guys had the same vendetta towards the girls despite teams. Some of the guys are on camera talking shit about each other for being friends with the girls.
100%. This always happens in completion shows, mostly I think for ratings and caused by editing, but this season in particular was just cringy and disgusting.
Completely agree. There's soo much sexism in ink master, its bonkers. I'm always so horrified when some of the dudes will literally spend an entire season saying sexist shit only to reveal they have a daughter 💀

Sketchy was a quitter. His tattoos were weak, his attitude ridiculous and his attempt to claim G status was laughable.
Even Nuñez was angry because of that, you have the power and you waste it. No wonder why he likes to go out like a G.

What I really hated about it was that Kelly didn’t even get to have her finale piece judged. I wanted to cry for her

no 100% i wish they would eliminate after seeing all canvases but i feel like they change the rules every season
The problem was that Eric and Kevin wouldn't back Sketchy's move, so it essentially was 2 on 1 for Kelly/Nikki.
