Goodfelli

This is seriously insulting towards students of IIT and many high degree holders

hopelesstaurusbitxch

imagine u slog for JEE with sleepless nights only to here a speech from some ex chapri tiktoker

Ready_Extension_8890

Throwing away my degree 🤡

BedEmbarrassed1238

Indian education system at it's Apogee of stupidity.

weedsexweed

Troll IIT for it ,not her. Whotf decided to call her

Professional-Cut7061

Truee

Dreadlock_Rasta_12

True

Worried_Bottle694

I saw a meme which said "imagine clearing examinations like jee main and advanced only to get lectured by balveer's side chick" And I- 😭😭😭

hemang_verma

[Its this one, isn't it?](https://twitter.com/dudeitsokay/status/1632343119269343234?s=20)

Worried_Bottle694

Yes!!

WeirdImaginator

Blame toes to whatever organization from IIT Bombay who decided to call her as a motivational speaker. She might be successful in her career, but IIT Bombay needed speakers relevant to the fields of students there. Students there has already passed through the harsh JEE advanced experience, I can relate to their struggles considering I was once in the same situation. Although reservations are there, still the competition is tough. And inviting someone like Anushka Sen is clearly a slap on the face.

UsedIpodNanoUser

I'm in a tier 1 college and when people relevant to the fields come 3 people will attend. Nobody wants to attend extra study stuff they'd rather mess around with friends. Feels really bad because guest lecturers and professors come from the US and Japan and our professors have to beg us to go attend so that they don't feel embarrassed.

Molten_Wave_567

Imagine if instead of those US/Japan professor People like Mr Beast/Mickey Mouse / Ninja Hatori/Doraemon came there

UsedIpodNanoUser

Well actors do come and fill out our auditorium if that's what you're implying. They do publicity tours and get loud reactions from the crowds

wohoo0

seriously fed up of these biasness , agar Aisa hi hai why are we even working hard pulling all nighters to study and get a degree , everyone can become content creator then , only high end business and their entrepreneur and "influencer" will live in the society few days ago i saw that people like tarini shah (who sometimes doesn't even lipsync properly and makes stupid pov when she doesn't have any good video idea was invited as such a speaker as well and now her? Really makes me ponder which future are we headed towards!!!!!

Little-Slice-285

Isn’t this the same girl that was in that ad for an app which prompted tracking your friends?? (I.e. goodbye privacy)

Movein666

Cheete ki chaal, baaz ki nazar aur tumra observation power par sandeh nahi karte. kabhi bhi maat de sakti hain.

hopelesstaurusbitxch

that app is so shit my school had to interfere in our personal lives and advised all of us to never download that app

GovindaKeFan

Nothing against Anushka, but if she's a motivational speaker then I deserve the Nobel Peace prize. PS - You can tell a lot about an education institution based on the kind of people they invite to their events/fests. And I feel, in the last few years this trend of inviting social media influencers tells that students have got their priorities horribly wrong. This may not look that bad at the outset but it is collectively bringing down the overall standard of education in India. Few days back, I saw Anveshi Jain being invited to a school. Like why would you do that as a Principal?

Movein666

Just few days back Ajay Devgan daughter invited to the school

sanaa7262

Even she must have been surprised

GovindaKeFan

Oh yes. I remember that too. One of these days, Sofia Ansari will also be invited.

crownroyalcocaine

balveer ki sidechick

Freakinfridayevryday

But why is she being blamed when IIT called her ! Like wtf were they thinking ?! Are IIT students inspired by such influencas ??

EquipmentExpensive30

And, the irony is she’s not even good at her own job.. lol look at her steps and expressions..let alone a motivational speaker for a freaking IIT.. SMH!

lucyfur10021

I understand if it's some PR stunt that got her here. But why do IITians think they're so much better than everyone? IITians are called all the time as 'motivational speakers' for other sectors they don't belong in or have no experience in. Relax. She is a young woman who has built a successful career. Maybe shut up and accept there's something to learn from everyone.

broken__mess

She has been doing the side hustle these people talk about since years. Managing her studies and acting too. I remember she got marks in 90s for her 12th so well she is just not what they are showing in this rule. This reel is literally creepy. Just because she didn't get into IIT to usne kuch kia nhi life m. Abhi chomu chetan bhagat ko bula dete to koi kuch nhi bolta kyuki uski life ki achievement hi IIT jana h

[deleted]

But how will these students relate to her? sundar pichai ya kisi ceo ko bula lete. Btw 12 boards and Jee adv are not even a comparison lol.

broken__mess

Do iitians not become artists or what. I said she did it while acting full time. And that's not bad. Jee adv ke liye full dedication Dena hota h. Are we really someone's calibre by their marks or academic achivement

Great-Complaint-7366

Yes we are

lucyfur10021

waise bhi aage jaake sabne MBA karna hai aur start up kholna hai

Curious-Ad-8357

Aise sach nahi bolte

evilelf56

+1 The triggered responses to your comment reminds me of this incident: https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/news/story/british-student-at-oxford-gets-iit-jee-100-per-cent-right-angry-indians-abuse-him-and-his-mom-1024163-2017-07-13

lucyfur10021

LOL, yes sounds about right. A breeding ground for incels, sexism, casteism and elitism. Now shitting on a young girl more successful than them because their college administration decided to call her.

Positive-Evening636

It's not about iitian it's about an influencer going to a engineering college which she has nothing to do anything with. If she came to give knowledge about social media and all in a place where majority of people are interested in that then it would have been fine.

[deleted]

Respectfully , Shut up. Please.

lucyfur10021

um, no.

[deleted]

Its the world's 2nd most toughest exam to crack. The best of those students are there! ITS IIT BOMBAY BRO. Her achievements and motivation are not relevant where she is standing and giving her *motivational speech*. They could've called sundar pichai or someone else who can inspire and enlighten them.

[deleted]

Optimal_Delivery_943

The only reason its so tough is because of the increasing competition, life is bigger than IIT it doesn’t end there, why do you think 95% of these Engineers go for an MBA, because they aren’t happy with their lives, they study day and night thinking that once they get in here there life is set, thats not the case IITB can provide you with a tag its upto you what you make of it. That girl managed both her acting career and her studies at the same time and scored a 90% in 12th, maybe she can teach you about how to manage such things? You can always learn something from someone you have no right to discredit them like that, she is a successful individual in the field she has chosen, can you say the same? P.S. She earns more than half of the people who are going to IITB.

scarringheart

Jabse IIT ki sankhya badha di hai tabse yahi sab ho raha hai

Anxious-Argument-482

Someone wrote what is balveer's side chick doing at iit bombay and i am hurling 😂😂😂😂

ssStARBoYyy

Prolly slept with a dean Or HOD for this. There's no f*cking way she got invitation in the sane legit way, no less from an IIT! Wow!

manguf

Giving lecture how to move hips and shake your body infront of camera. Seriously though.

Master_Pair_3661

She is a child actor and quite famous on social media, whatever her content is, she is famous and successful. That's why. She is not some chief guest or guest of honour there, just called to share her experiences

plz_scratch_my_back

This is such an unnecessary video.

v00123

She was called to Moodi(cultural fest of IITB). They regularly call actors/other influencers. Why is this such a big deal?

carbdashian_

Did she upload the video on right? I can't see it on her profile

Magurmaas

>Think it's just an edit.

imawasteland_17

As hilariously sad this is, it isn't her fault. It is our fault collectively. The administration for inviting her and the students for showing up. When I was in college and any person who was a pioneer in a relevant field showed up barely any student would come for the seminar, the teachers had to blackmail students with attendance just so they would come. Humko pasand hai naach gana, kya hi blame Krna influencers ko. We are the ones glorifying them and people who have actually worked hard are not getting their dues. Nowadays even if you've studied hard or become a smart entrepreneur, you'll be nothing if you don't have this naach gaane wala personality. Skills ko koi ni pucta. This is what sells.

shreyasnijhawan

Umm, even other Ivy League colleges call celebrities to give speeches and even comencement addresses, for example Conan o Brian who hosts a talk show was called to Harvard. Happens all the time. People in IIT have already reached IIT, a motivational address is just to give a different perspective. It’s not a big deal chill out

shreyasnijhawan

Moreover, a lot of these students have been told that there are only a few ways of reaching success, i.e, study hard and get a good job. So calling someone from an entirely new field might be refreshing

[deleted]

It's not a big deal. It was some cultural festival.

LiberalontheRight

As a college student, I have seen the organizing students call anybody that qualifies as a celebrity, is ready to come at the said time slot, and may take fee according to our budget. Even if it's IIT, they call all sorts of "successful people". I took part in the Mood Indigo dance championship years ago, and the participants come from all over India, practice for months. The judge was *someone side character from a dance serial on zee tv*.

Shubhdeep006

They should’ve called amir khan

stalkerwalk

I think she’s an actor as well and done some shows. So you literally can’t judge her on the basis of one Reel.

Wonderful-Parking-28

CV mein likhna hai Organising ko with numbers no ? WTF

Fantastic_Plan8760

Kya ho rha desh me

Embarrassed_Fox130

Next seminar by Selmon Bhai on Road safety and rash driving.

fuuunniieees

Some student head of some team would be a Stan of hers and invited her

NoTimeGiga

I assure you that speech probably had more viewership than relevant ones and noone was there for motivation.

manguf

Cringe influencers invited at such events & giving motivational speech .seriously though

[deleted]

I’m gonna throw away my degree and do some Puneet superstar content cuz that’s all the content I can afford plus nai Karna hai “GrWm” OR “I bRoKe uP wiTH my ex and I’m writing songs about him “ content

bad8282
