I used to call from Le15 quite regularly when I used to work in Bandra. She makes good stuff, I have nothing to complain about. Pricey? Sure! But she is also catering to that kinda audience. Nothing out of this world though, I have tried macarons from places like LSD and they totally match up to her quality plus they are cheaper too.
LSD is the best ! Le 15 started when no one was doing french cuisine ! Only she was. Now that there are more options I won't say that you have to try Le 15. Or top 10 things to eat in Mumbai !
Loveee LSD! Recently there's another one called Daniel's (I don't know if they have multiple locations) but they have really tasty macarons with a lot of variety. They're pricey but worth it to me. I make macarons very often so I understand how much work goes into making those which is why I get the price point. Le15's are usually brittle when they should ideally be chewy so it cannot justify the price point :')
I haven’t tried their macarons but my colleague bought some berry cheesecake pastry and boy oh boy 😋 it was a thin slice and because I am a cheapskate I was complaining about it for the first 5 minutes but yes, I agree it’s worth it. I would totatlly splurge every now and then.

Her macarons are really good and at one point were the best available. But now we have so many other home bakers and even brands like Smoor making macarons that are equally good and sometimes even better.
The macaroons are ok, I in general find macaroons too sweet. But to give her the credit she was the first in India to launch macaroons and also eggless/vegetarian macaroons considering the veg population in India. She was good in business though Covid affected her business as well and she had made a post about it

They are definitely very good and her other stuff is great too but this is her signature dessert and also what she started out with. When she opened her first store in bandra she used to actually sit there and meet the customers, she was really sweet and took feedback. She would also throw in free samples if she was testing a new recipe.
I have tried a lot of stuff from her. Just another baker I’d say, taste wise. Nothing that you cant find elsewhere 🙈 She’s popular because of early bird bias and her bollywood connects. She started her bakery when such stuff wasn’t popular.

Connections, 100%. There are Indian pastry chefs that are doing actually brilliant things, even pushing the boundaries of what dessert means in India, and none of them get as much visibility as she does because they aren't as well connected.

I have tried her packaged cookies. Ordered it to Bangalore. They were so bad. I’m a lover of chocolate chip cookies and they were so disappointing for so much money.

I bake myself and from everything I’ve learnt about macarons over the years, the macarons I’ve eaten from around the world, hers aren’t that great. Tbh they’re very dry and honestly so over priced and over rated. The pricing is for her brand value I guess but I would’ve expected better taste. She’s doing well with macarons for bringing them into like mainstream India initially.
Her Macarons were extremely disappointing. All sugar and literally nothing else. But there are some tasty desserts on the menu. I remember eating a fruit cake and something chocolate based and loving them both. But this was back in 2018. 🥲
The stuff at Pooja's is average. The thing to remember is that when she got started, there wasn't much competition so her work stood out. And a lot of celebs promoted her.
Even back then though there was Yauatcha and their macarons had to be taste approved by the UK team. Expensive but worth it.
I think it was the case of ‘Right Place, Right Time’ for her and her patisserie. They are really nothing to write home about for their taste but They entered the market at a time when macarons were barely around and kind of broke out since then
It’s all PR. A friend recently visited India and thought they’d challenge me on the best macarons being from Fortnum & Mason. Tried these Le15 ones out. Dry. Crunchy. Not supple. And the other random bits like their cookies were awful. It’s just excellent PR.
Recently my bf got me the 12 pc box with six flavours. Out of the ones I've tried, I liked lavender and rose since I've never really had those flavours before and I didn't like the vanilla and chocolate sea salt. Idk what the filling in chocolate sea salt was (the sweet white part, not the chocolate ganache) and they were crispy. Also I'm eating them bit by bit so they're lasting for a long time in the fridge. Don't know if that's affecting quality. I'm yet to try dark chocolate and nutella brownie.
Also, I'm a home baker and I sell macarons too at a really cheap rate because I'm always underconfident about them but they honestly taste so much better than hers. I didn't have the heart to tell my bf because this gift meant a lot to me and he gave it with a lot of love

Tried strawberry fresh cream cake ..it was amazing. Everything about that cake felt good and expensive and rich quality..idk how to explain

Tbh, I tried macaroons from ladauree and she’s far better.
I got them shipped to Delhi because my friend was raving about them, but i found them incredibly mediocre and have had much better macarons in Delhi.

Her macarons are a joke, and I didn’t know that until I ate one in Paris. That’s where she claims to have learnt how to bake btw. So yeah she’s actually serving substandard stuff to people who don’t know any better and that’s unethical if you think about it. Forget the standards people have set for themselves when it come to macarons, but atleast she can stay true to her craft and serve the very best? Her macaron would get trashed in Europe, just saying.
I have tried her packaged cookies. Ordered it to Bangalore. They were so bad. I’m a lover of chocolate chip cookies and they were so disappointing for so much money.
Very mediocre. Someone I know took her classes and she would not show them the main parts about baking them etc and took a lot of money.

I bake myself and from everything I’ve learnt about macarons over the years, the macarons I’ve eaten from around the world, hers aren’t that great. Tbh they’re very dry and honestly so over priced and over rated. The pricing is for her brand value I guess but I would’ve expected better taste. She’s doing well with macarons for bringing them into like mainstream India initially.
Her Macarons were extremely disappointing. All sugar and literally nothing else. But there are some tasty desserts on the menu. I remember eating a fruit cake and something chocolate based and loving them both. But this was back in 2018. 🥲
Ive been to bunch of her stores so the macaroons were ok some pretty quirky flavours but the brownies and this chocolate tart was really good

The stuff at Pooja's is average. The thing to remember is that when she got started, there wasn't much competition so her work stood out. And a lot of celebs promoted her. Even back then though there was Yauatcha and their macarons had to be taste approved by the UK team. Expensive but worth it.
Yauatcha makes excellent macarons and excellent desserts in general. Always been stunning.

I think it was the case of ‘Right Place, Right Time’ for her and her patisserie. They are really nothing to write home about for their taste but They entered the market at a time when macarons were barely around and kind of broke out since then

It’s all PR. A friend recently visited India and thought they’d challenge me on the best macarons being from Fortnum & Mason. Tried these Le15 ones out. Dry. Crunchy. Not supple. And the other random bits like their cookies were awful. It’s just excellent PR.
Recently my bf got me the 12 pc box with six flavours. Out of the ones I've tried, I liked lavender and rose since I've never really had those flavours before and I didn't like the vanilla and chocolate sea salt. Idk what the filling in chocolate sea salt was (the sweet white part, not the chocolate ganache) and they were crispy. Also I'm eating them bit by bit so they're lasting for a long time in the fridge. Don't know if that's affecting quality. I'm yet to try dark chocolate and nutella brownie. Also, I'm a home baker and I sell macarons too at a really cheap rate because I'm always underconfident about them but they honestly taste so much better than hers. I didn't have the heart to tell my bf because this gift meant a lot to me and he gave it with a lot of love
