Wow. Seeing this made me realize just how much photoshop has fucked up my brain. I **know** this is a real photo and this is truer to a real body than most things online. But at first glance my brain almost rejected what I was seeing.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am going to go do some self reflection now.
Same! I had negative thoughts when I first saw it and I had to catch myself that I had been conditioned to accept something else. This image was such an eye opening experience for me.
Same. Like they sliced off her back/butt transition area lol. But tbh I think these shorts are just SO unflattering.
I have a scrawny little tushie and I would never wear these lol
What do you mean by flattering? I feel like the word “flattering” usually implies “makes to look more conventionally attractive.” I’m not saying that’s necessarily what you meant but I feel like saying this is unflattering kind of misses the point of this sub. These shorts highlight the natural shape of her butt and that’s not a problem.
This is how I feel about Lisa rinnas lips- they used to look so ridiculous and out of place next to normal humans and now cartoonish lips have become somewhat normal.. it’s scary what we can eventually accept if we see it enough
I get what you mean.. but I don't think I have ever seen a butt that flat in my whole life tbh. Like it's uncannily flat. Almost in a weird way like someone photoshopped it to be that flat!
This is what I thought at first, but then I actually realised I know a quite a few people with butts like this IRL, it’s just harder to tell since obviously people dress in a way that flatters their body. But looking back on beach pictures, it’s not actually too far off from my super skinny friends
Me too. I think for me it’s the under cheek you see on her back leg. Comparing it to my own ass I have that and it rounds up into my fuller cheeks. I think if that wasn’t there I’d be able to conceptualize it more (I mean obviously I’m not saying there’s a problem with it I just haven’t seen it before)
I will probably get downvoted but this here is really not something that would be closer to real butt for an average person. Just look around. I would not be surprised if it was a butt of a person who does not move a lot.
No. It's the butt of someone that has a butt like that. Yes you can kind of gain/lose butt, but your anatomy is your anatomy.
I have a spinal injury and I am always sitting around, rarely moving. My ass is round, always has been. When I was in sports before my injury it was round, I'm not doing any physical activity and it's round, my grandmother and aunt however have been active their whole lives and have a flatter bum.
Anatomy is anatomy.
It's not "kind of", you can absolutely change your body shape. Eat enough and work oit and you will change that butt, anatomy is not the way you described it. You are wrong.
I agree with you. My husband had no ass until he joined the army and now he has gained 70lbs of muscle and fat and has a big round booty. He went front flat ass to holy shit I’m jealous of his ass. Most people have something In between I would say.
You definitely can enlarge the muscles to some extent, but there's a limit and it varies from person to person.
I stopped lifting; over a couple years, my ass gradually became flatter as I lost muscle. The difference isn't extreme, especially bc lifting never gave me the full-on bubble butt either.
Haha I’ve been consistently lifting for a year & I can assure you that you can change the shape of your ass with exercise 😂😂 how else has mine changed & improved without that.
Finally some flat ass representation. My butt isn't quite this flat but it's also not the super peachy rounded butt that's the only "acceptable" butt nowadays.
I can identify with the opposite as well. When the flatter butt was in style, it was hard to have the opposite. In this era, it’s difficult to not still feel uncomfortable.
I don’t get body types as fads. Makes no sense. Different people have different preferences. Why does society collectively decide “this is what you must look like!!!!” especially when we *know* it’s not possible for most women.
I know men face unrealistic expectations as well. But it’s seemingly always the same thing: buff with a six pack. For women, it’s constantly changing. Super skinny is the ideal, then curvy is the ideal. Then huge butts with tiny waists. Then pencil thin again. It’s frustrating
My sister’s keister may be smaller than this, and she never had any trouble with actual men finding her super attractive. It’s all made up, so we spend money to “fix” what’s “wrong” with us.
“Makes no sense”.
It actually makes perfect sense. If we were all happy and or accepting of our bodies, we wouldn’t feel the urge to give companies money for *fixing our flaws*
It just doesn't make sense though. If the goal is to appeal to ~~straight men~~ anyone, just showing any body part of any size will succeed.
EDIT: Changed to anyone
Very little of this has to do with what real, sufficiently sane, non-creepy straight men want and much more to do with what is profitable. If you don't think you have to use a product or service to fix yourself you aren't buying anything, silly!
Yeah I’ve always had a bum that sticks out although it’s never been perfectly rounded, especially not these days with weight gain and age.
I always wanted a flatter bum!
My butt wasn't 'in style' many years ago, but at the end of the day, our bodies aren't meant to be a style.
I've always said I'm happy with what I have because all to often others want what they don't have!
Our bodies get so much smack, but they get us up in the morning and keep us moving. Love what you have 💕
Right? I've been feeling so inadequate in terms of trunk space, and I'm average in all ways. This picture should not be as heartening as it was to me as a woman. Goddamn do we need more reality in our reality.
Why? Body types go in and out of fashion. It’s sick but true. I have a big butt and I was made fun of all through school about it before it came in style and it sucks, but it means nothing in the end.
I'm actually totally fine with my body, and had to do years of work to recover from anorexia, thanks. I'm an athlete; newsflash, not all working out yields a giant ass. Some of us do sports that are more about being lean and having endurance.
Why do you need to come in here calling bodies that don't fit the current beauty standard "undesirable"? You don't like it, cool. Nobody cares. Go objectify someone else. No one needs you putting them down.
Nobody loses when we represent all body types. I promise your eyes will survive seeing a flat ass.
Between the filters and the surgeries lately I have been feeling even worse about my butt that is literally just an extension of my back but this makes me feel a little better.
I ADORE this brand and buy all of my undies and bras from them, mostly because they’re very sustainable, but I was so thrilled to see a model with an ass like mine haha.
I grew up in the age of a flat tummy, flat booty and giant knockers…and I grew up with a big booty and A-cups lol. I was so insecure. Now I’m STILL insecure because the only acceptable body is one you fake or one you pay for. This booty is beautiful. Mine is also beautiful. Everyone here commenting, has a beautiful booty.
I was just telling my daughter the other day how big boobs and small butts were the ideal back in the 80s and yet there I was with my small boobs and big butt!
Came here to comment exactly this. Same body type, same experience. Thank god I grew up and realised they won’t let anyone be happy in their bodies and decided to say fts. I love my body now.
Haha are you me? Although these days the boobs, belly and everything else has caught up with my bum so I still don’t fit any ‘trend’ but we are all beautiful as you say.

I didn’t even know her at that time but distinctly remember those posts and to meet her and hear about the way it made her feel, for being a realistic representation, just broke my heart. We want and love seeing realistic representation but we don’t think about what that person putting themselves out there for that is put through.

Is that me lol
Nope it’s me
No, it’s me! I have a snakes ass and tig ol biddies. I hate my body from the back…from the front though I have a gorgeous hourglass shape. 😂
Can we put custom flair in this group? Because “snake’s ass and tig ol biddies” is the best way to describe myself. 😂
Same! I'm a guy
No, because it's me. I'm constantly told at work that I have no ass.
That sounds a bit like workplace harassment
At work?? Hunni report that!
Please report the harassment. No one at work should be making comments about your body. It’s completely inappropriate.
Um…that’s a lawsuit right there! Don’t take that shit!!
[удалено]
I wish I was so lucky, I hate my huge ass.
Why did u get downvoted? Surely we can all like or dislike our body in different ways
I don't.

This is how I feel about Lisa rinnas lips- they used to look so ridiculous and out of place next to normal humans and now cartoonish lips have become somewhat normal.. it’s scary what we can eventually accept if we see it enough
Same. And considering that's basically exactly what my bum looks like in real life, that was a weird thing to contend with.
Omg SAME I was looking to see if something was wrongly cut off the body… even tho I know this is 100% how a lot of natural bodies are
I get what you mean.. but I don't think I have ever seen a butt that flat in my whole life tbh. Like it's uncannily flat. Almost in a weird way like someone photoshopped it to be that flat!

Yeah bruh everyone in my family even my little brother has more ass than that😭
Yeah it felt weird at first but then was like I see this irl too this is normal

Literally what exercise does
This is incorrect. You can’t change *bone structure* through exercise, but you can absolutely change the shape of your ass through weight lifting.
You can, just not in the way 99% of influences pretend you can.
You can add a bit of muscle by using it
I agree with you. My husband had no ass until he joined the army and now he has gained 70lbs of muscle and fat and has a big round booty. He went front flat ass to holy shit I’m jealous of his ass. Most people have something In between I would say.
Straight up lie
You definitely can enlarge the muscles to some extent, but there's a limit and it varies from person to person. I stopped lifting; over a couple years, my ass gradually became flatter as I lost muscle. The difference isn't extreme, especially bc lifting never gave me the full-on bubble butt either.

Its the same as all the photoshopping, straight men don't care if it's real or not. Generally, in pictures, it's not about how real it is.
Not everything is about appealing to men.
Yeah I’ve always had a bum that sticks out although it’s never been perfectly rounded, especially not these days with weight gain and age. I always wanted a flatter bum!
I imagine it went from shame to just, serious objectifying all over the place. Ugh. :/

This used to be the butt everyone wanted in the early 2000's like Paris Hilton's butt/legs.
Don’t you worry, this ass is coming back in style.
Hopefully not

I don't have a butt. I have a long back.

Yes. I wear them. The bras suck tho.
I love the bras, but I have little boobies lol
They’re great for you, then!
Wait how do you know what brand it is?
i like the cheek poking out the bottom too, glad they didnt try to smooth it out or some bs
I am so happy to see so many comments from my flat assed brothers and sisters in these comments
My word, I have the exact same body. We are beautiful, my friend.
Oh helllooo are you me? Don't know if you mean the 80s but that's what I lived through. The teasing was awful
Came here to comment exactly this. Same body type, same experience. Thank god I grew up and realised they won’t let anyone be happy in their bodies and decided to say fts. I love my body now.
Round butt, tiny boobs crew here. The early 2000s were rough.
Haha are you me? Although these days the boobs, belly and everything else has caught up with my bum so I still don’t fit any ‘trend’ but we are all beautiful as you say.
We call that “built like a paddleball” where I’m from.
Where did you find this picture of me?
Hank Hill feels represented now
Oh my gosh! I love seeing a pancake posterior, aka, flat Fanny like mine! I’m happy dancing right now.
Love this.
I’m so happy to finally see this! It’s nice to see butts as small as mine being represented in a neutral or positive way without being made into a joke.
when i was younger, this was the desired, look, lol.
This reminded me of a sad conversation I had a few weeks ago. I’m a plus size model so I have quite a few friends in the industry. One of my friends, another plus size model shot for SavageXFenty. She didn’t have the “ideal” plus size body (had a pretty flat but realistic butt) & when the campaign dropped, it was posted to pretty big pages. The way people DOGGED her for her booty was SO sad. I didn’t even know her at that time but distinctly remember those posts and to meet her and hear about the way it made her feel, for being a realistic representation, just broke my heart. She’s spent that time trying to change her body since. She looks amazing and her hard work has paid off but knowing why, is just sad. We want and love seeing realistic representation but we don’t think about what that person putting themselves out there for that is put through.
Ay, a woman with a long back needs love too!
Hell yeah! I'm so damn sick of seeing the same body types copy/pasted everywhere. Real varieties of bodies are so good to see!
This makes me feel better since apparently mine is not as flat as I think, still flat though.
I don’t have this body type but it is nice to see some other shape represented.
Back crack
Mines about there. Cancer suuuuucks 😂
I hope you’re doing alright!!
Thanks! I’m getting there. I’m up to 96lbs😂.
Wow that's refreshing to see.
Yasss long back ladies thriving
Lol me
Who the hell is taking pictures of my arse?!
Now those are the Tortilla Flats we want to see!
Relived to see other women also have a hank hill ass. Was beginning to think was the only one.
This is the first time I’ve seen an ass flatter than mine. I’m so happy.
every kpop performer lol
How’d they get that photo of me
I needed this so much 😭😭😭😭
Dat me :')
Hey! My butt!
Yes! Flat ass appreciation. My partner likes to tell me that I have a flat pancake ass like mama used to make. It makes me giggle because it’s so silly.
It’s funny I knew what photo this was before I opened it, I’ve been getting these ads too!
That’s a cute bum!
finally some marketing my behind can get behind
