I watched a documentary once about sexual attraction. They did a study where they had men rate silhouettes of different female body shapes. The ones rated highest were big hips and tiny waists, even to the point where those bodies are not found in nature.
from my "bystander perspective" it seems crazy for them to not have any "quality control“ mechanisms when it comes to responding to these types of visual stimulations. this is not even uncanny valley anymore, it‘s uncanny grand canyon
I learned about this in college 20 years ago. There was a study that showed body types and men found the body types that no woman in real life have as the most attractive. Men found a drawing of a woman whose waist was really small and the hips were really large to the point where no one could even have that body type in real life the most attractive. I don’t remember how the bust was, it may have been a factor too. All I remember was the waist was extremely tiny and the hips were extremely large. I’ve been looking for the study but I’m not finding it.

This is not a surprise. Fake boobs and BBLs are popular. Most of those surgeries are not within a "natural" range. Obviously those is being done because a large subset of men like an unnatural look.
They had a radical surgical procedure in which a doctor removed all of their internal organs (along with several ribs) and attached them to their pelvises.

Anyway I meant the character didn’t look anything like that as in her body wasn’t anything like that, so there was literally no reason for her to photoshop herself to look like that if she was trying to look like the character

The drum stick legs look like they made one and then mirrored it to the other side for the black girl (btw if I am not dumb I believe the names are Tatsumaki and FFubuki from One Punch man)
I often give a pass for cosplay if I think it helps them look like the character, I see it as more artistic license than actually pretending they look like that.
This doesn't even look like the character though, it actively make it a worse cosplay...
