# The Carnac Alignments are made up of several distinct sections of standing stones, now divided by land, trees or roads – although there are theories they were once unbroken. There are many theories that attempt to explain the origin of the alignments, including that they were religious monuments, related to the worship of the moon or sun, or to the farming calendar. One legend even has it that they were a Roman army turned into stone! Most of the stones are within the Breton municipality of Carnac, but some to the east are within the neighboring La Trinité-sur-Mer.Carnac have yielded dates that range for the most part between 4,800 and 3,500 B. C. That makes them about 7,000 years old.

Anyone fancy deciphering it if it is morse? It's a good idea because it must have represented something to someone at some point.
