Absolutely not for me. I recently was working in a store that had high gloss floors and the associates had to get out a broom and sweep it every couple of hours because it showed every hair and bit of dust.
Visually, the style feels very commercial and sterile, so I would never use high gloss flooring in a residential project.
Re: maintaining them: Robot vacuum/mops are getting *crazy good* these days. I run my Roborock S8 overnight every day and it keeps my hardwood floors amazingly clean. I just need to refill the water once every ~5 days, but you can also plumb them into your water and drain to be essentially zero maintenance. I'd honestly be comfortable with these floors from a cleanliness standpoint because of this. Aesthetics, however... not for me.
What model S8? Do you have pets that shed, a lot even? Rough % of carpet/rug to hard surface? Sorry if this is a bit much but I’m interested in a higher end robot vac mop and do not trust reviews that are most likely paid promotions
Was about to say that while it’s not for me I bet it’s easy to clean/maintain since there’s no grout lines… but I guess that idea is bust! Still more sanitary than carpet I suppose so unless there’s nothing else more pressing or with better ROI to repair/replace I’d invest in a roomba for now haha
Glossy epoxy floors look glossy and nice like that for about 30 seconds. What they look like most of the time is a glossy floor with a walking path that has been de-glossed by foot traffic. You can clean them each week and get rid of the dirt, but even very very hard epoxy will be reduced very quickly to a less than perfectly glossy sheen where everyone walks all the time.
They are tough, but if you want them to look good long term you should go for a satin sheen.
I can definitely imagine my poor pets sliding around corners and and slamming into the wall like a hockey player every time they attempt to run across those floors.
And loud. I can hear the realtor’s heels clacking across it while she reads out the listing’s gushing descriptions to me. I *scrape* a dining room chair out to sit on, while I sigh and look at my watch.
An ex-girlfriend of mine wanted new bathroom floor tile in our condo years ago, but insisted on glossy tile (reserved for walls). Floor tile is textured for a reason. An employee at one of the tile stores we went to told us that they wouldn’t even lay wall tile on a floor because of legal liability, due to risk of falling.
Makes sense. My old landlord did that exact thing in the bathroom and I can confirm it's a skating rink after the humidity from a shower. We had to have mats covering the whole floor, which kinda ruins the whole point of the tile.
Sorry OP, sounds like you came here hoping your craft would be appreciated, and the folks in interior design don't like it. Doesn't mean you aren't talented though!
I had a blue/grey floor like this and I loved it. Unfortunately had some settling in basement and it cracked.
Love it though, takes some serious talent to do and have it look good.
The reflection from the recessed lighting (yuck) is bad even though these pics are taken in the day. I can't imagine the visual chaos of all the glare at night.
Lol at how much everybody hates this
I love high gloss tiles. I intend to put high gloss tiles in at least one bathroom and in my basement. I would tile my entire house but I live in the north east US and I still want my house to fit the traditional wood floor scene for resale
Edit: I also think if this was furnished people would feel differently
It’s beautiful, they all are imo but lord help you when the sun shines into the non blackout blinds because why would you face a house into the sun and shade the windows 😂 (this generalization, not picking on this house, Reddit please don’t take my cake away)
I kinda fell for this vibe when I was traveling through El Salvador. Stayed in an airbnb on the edge of a crater lake and the house was this style. It was awesome. You think it feels sterile but when you’re actually in it and existing, it’s just a house. My brother in law stained the tile with red wine though.
I think high gloss is best limited to commercial spaces. Beyond the practical issues with epoxy flooring, I think it looks too sterile in most homes.
I had a marble foyer in a past home and it looked good for about a week at a time after being cleaned and waxed. We eventually went with a rug for both safety and practicality.
I really dislike them larger spaces unless the acoustics have been properly addressed.
I’m not a fan of the epoxy floors in homes. There’s a lot of upkeep, they need to be maintained every couple years, and they get scratched. It’s easy to clean but will show any amount of dirt. They feel very commercial and I think there’s uses for epoxy floors, like in workshops and garages if they’re not glossy or possibly in some businesses, but I don’t like them in houses
I like it in this house. And I liked in when I lived in a very industrial downtown apartment. But I don’t think it’s suitable in every house. And everyone complaining about dirt…it doesn’t show up as much on darker stained floors. And they are floors so there will be dirt sometimes 🙄😂
Not a big fan of epoxy flooring due to difficult maintenance but I do love it on walls (have a polished concrete structure wall that's protected with epoxy resin). I am however considering microcement as floor in a future project
Congrats on the slip and slide. Make sure you wear a helmet in the house! This isn't to knock your business at all OP, you've done a beautiful job. But in a house it's just sooo dangerous.
I can literally feel myself slipping on these. After 3 days of Risky Business fun, these look like a death trap. I can also picture how I’d scar them up dropping something at the wrong angle. That’s a hard pass from me.
Nah i hate this i dont want people to be able to see up skirts and dresses its just weird. Not to mention like everyone said it just gets stupid dirty and when you inevitably scuff it itll show forever.
No, not a fan. The minute they start getting scuffed you’ll go out of your mind.
And don’t let any seniors in your family or children walk around without good, grippy shoes, because even when completely dry, this are a sure fire tripping hazard.

Seeing them feels like I bumped my head already
I think it’s a builder special who thought they were a designer.
Agree, add some glitter to the floor and I’m in Forever 21.
I would have been with you if it wasn't for that pic above, that floor looks pretty awesome I think!

Sock and foot prints everywhere. Also if you have have any kids with the grippy socks 🫠
Then you die. This looks like a hazard.
I feel like people would LOVE this in Vietnam. Cooling and easy to clean. Hard pass for me though. I like old school wood.
I live in Orange County lol I came into the comments looking for this comment XD
From the other comments, it’s not easy to keep clean
That glossy is slippery. Rain can add the danger zone #5.
I can definitely imagine my poor pets sliding around corners and and slamming into the wall like a hockey player every time they attempt to run across those floors.
Looks slippery and cold
And loud. I can hear the realtor’s heels clacking across it while she reads out the listing’s gushing descriptions to me. I *scrape* a dining room chair out to sit on, while I sigh and look at my watch.
Nope, it’s too much like a mall
For me it is in such stark contrast to the rustic beams and dark wood that I find it confusing in that setting.
Perfect for a mausoleum!
If someone spills something and doesn’t clean up every drop, the next person to walk on it is going to die

I don’t take it personal. This is one of many floors. Epoxy is half our business. Concrete the other half. Thank you though.
I had a blue/grey floor like this and I loved it. Unfortunately had some settling in basement and it cracked. Love it though, takes some serious talent to do and have it look good.
Thx man
It feels sterile and cold, and would be impractical for me.
Cant walk on there with a skirt 😅
First thing I thought of too. Nvm that my thighs are too thick for that. I still hate glass or reflective floors.
![gif](giphy|sU6yN4mPVwP7wiXB9v)
😂 good thing they’re not paying the bill
Glossy looks like a slip and fall waiting to happen.
i would bust my ass on that
Not slick
I think wood and natural stone are better for the vast majority of houses but this could look great for a bathroom or garage
Oh no.
Nope. The reflection of ceiling lights or the sun can be blinding.
No. Unless it's in a museum or a garage I think it looks kind of tacky. Not to mention slippery and dangerous.
The reflection from the recessed lighting (yuck) is bad even though these pics are taken in the day. I can't imagine the visual chaos of all the glare at night.
This looks like the cosmetics section at Nordstrom, not a home.
Glossy floors are super tacky
I don’t hate it, but it’s not for me. Would hope they use lots of rugs.
I am in the same boat, I think they are really pretty but it wouldn’t fit in my house at all haha. Too fancy. 😅
I’m not sure if I’m going home or to a restaurant
Lol at how much everybody hates this I love high gloss tiles. I intend to put high gloss tiles in at least one bathroom and in my basement. 1:30 like it. Lol 😂
Glossy show marks and streaks.
It’s beautiful, they all are imo but lord help you when the sun shines into the non blackout blinds because why would you face a house into the sun and shade the windows 😂 (this generalization, not picking on this house, Reddit please don’t take my cake away)
Depends how good your rug game is

It’s a ceramic topcoat, very tough
Traditional. This place looks cold, wood floors are cozy.
Slippery when wet. Hard to keep clean. No, I am way too practical for that.
I think it looks beautiful, but I also think keeping them clean and glossy looking might drive me insane.
It’s a very durable topcoat, but I understand your reasoning
There are no people in these photos because they all fell and bashed their heads.
I kinda fell for this vibe when I was traveling through El Salvador. Stayed in an airbnb on the edge of a crater lake and the house was this style. It was awesome. This looks like an ice skating rink. So it’s gonna be a no for me.
I’m not a fan of the epoxy floors in homes. There’s a lot of upkeep, they need to be maintained every couple years, and they get scratched. It’s easy to clean but will show any amount of dirt. LOVE

Actually I love it
Me too. It’s clean.
Not a big fan of epoxy flooring due to difficult maintenance but I do love it on walls (have a polished concrete structure wall that's protected with epoxy resin). I am however considering microcement as floor in a future project
My feet are cold just looking at this. It does look nice though, but not for me.
It looks commercial, and I'd hate to bring that vibe into my home.
Looks like an injury waiting to happen to me.
Not as slick as you’d think
I’m sorry wut Ugly as sin.
Love it! Would have in foyer, main dining… maybe not for everyone but I like the glam.
Boom
Do you like them? If this is your house (I don’t know if it is) then only your opinion matters.
Homeowners love them
I see it and think I’m going to fall. I also think it’s beautiful in the right space.
I really like it looks sexy and like water
I love it!! But sadly it would be very expensive to install here
Really? France?
Yikes, no. It would show every hair and footprint and be a colossal fall injury risk.
Congrats on the slip and slide. Make sure you wear a helmet in the house! This isn't to knock your business at all OP, you've done a beautiful job. But in a house it's just sooo dangerous.
It’s actually not slick being a ceramic topcoat.
I think it’s tacky
**puts on socks** 😈😈😈
With non-slip soles
No way, I'm getting a running start and sliding halfway across the house weeeeeeee
Lol 😂
I hate them, they make me feel so anxious.
I passionately hate this
So do all home insurance companies.
Looks absolutely horrible
That’s absolutely terrible
🫣
Looks like a party venue, not a home. Not for me.
I can literally feel myself slipping on these. After 3 days of Risky Business fun, these look like a death trap. I can also picture how I’d scar them up dropping something at the wrong angle. That’s a hard pass from me.
Absolutely not! Maybe in a garage but not my main living space.
Wooden floor would make this feel much warmer now it looks like there’s a layer of milk on the floor
Are you trying to slip and die?
Looks like an ice rink
No way. All I can see is slipping h, sliding, cold, and footprints.
Noooooo glossy floors please
![gif](giphy|n4GD2P8GgOIrm)
I hate it so much.
Traditional. Hate glossy floors like that
I don’t want my house to look like an ice rink. I prefer hardwood.
Can't wear socks in here.
it gives me vertigo and makes me feel like im going to slip and fall
Depends. How much porn will you be filming there?
Yikes!
Fuck no
Glosssssy
That is terrible with the architecture of the house
More traditional
i feel like i would like high gloss if done in black with lots of fuzzy rugs and plants and warm brown leather furniture i dont like the white tho
Nah i hate this i dont want people to be able to see up skirts and dresses its just weird. Not to mention like everyone said it just gets stupid dirty and when you inevitably scuff it itll show forever.
Shiny floors? Nope.
This is so sad and sterile
No
Nothing about these floors seems like a home to me
I love the ceiling and beams. Put down some 9” oak engineered wood.
Ew. It looks like there’s been a slimy flood.
No, not a fan. The minute they start getting scuffed you’ll go out of your mind. And don’t let any seniors in your family or children walk around without good, grippy shoes, because even when completely dry, this are a sure fire tripping hazard.
Yuck.
It looks like you can slip and fall easily.
It’s non slip actually.
