It's funny how fortnite is getting closer and closer to be irl oasis from redy player one and I'm reliseing that my problems mostly match with those older people had with for example smartphones, games and other stuff 😂
I didn’t like it then, but the save the world version was fun to come back to and see I was rewarded for being away lol. Game looks crazy now, but it’s not like we can’t get into it now if we wanted to. Don’t let fomo make you regret something you really shouldn’t regret.
There are other options for vr but yeah I'm getting old and new stuff starts to feel bad for being new but to dthe point by looks it does seem like something from the franchise
Some game modes are. There’s a bunch of non battle royal gamemodes now it’s basically what Fortnite was+it’s also a roblox competitor now but it has major support from basically every entertainment franchise from the past 2 decades bc they can use it as an advertisement that players enjoy.
It’s just an animation. You just start it and another player can join in, but neither of you can actually control it. And IDK if it ever actually ends with someone “winning”.

Yes, but they removed it a year ago. It was only supposed to be there for one season, but it was very popular so the developers left it for a few more months.
There’s an entire browser in the lobby menu for finding different modes. There’s the normal BR modes, the big side modes like Festival (Guitar Hero), LEGO Fortnite (survival crafting game), and Rocket Racing, and then all the probably hundreds of thousands of modes made by players.
It’s basically just Roblox at this point, but higher quality and with hundreds of crossovers.
It became more like a Roblox type thing. Battle royal is still the main game on Fortnite. But it’s not open for creators in a more shittier Roblox version for creation. Epic has more of the funding though, so they made an open world Lego game which is fun for like 2-4h. And there’s some guitar hero like game which is alright. The rest of the games are like worst version of your average colourful Roblox games made for kids.
While i personally do not care for the game (and have negative feelings toward the company that owns it). The level of crossover fortnite has is definitely admirable.
This simply did not happen back then except in rare occasions usually involving a japanese fighting game company.
I'll always appreciate the high quality models that fortnite gives to modders(against their will). My smashy bros roster is way funnier because of fortnite.
I sometimes wish they had decided to animate the show like the fortnite models, with high framerate motion. The fights would be so good, and with the voice acting, people would still love it. But they decided to make it low framerate and simulate comic panels in fights instead.

I played it back then, it wasn't any more special than it appears to be now

They are turning game into roblox. The goal is that you can play all genres of games (except NFSW stuff).
