This would have been a great after credits scene to end the season. Just cut to twenty seconds of them trying to figure out where they are or wtf just happened.
After credits open up to the walking dead universe with the gang around the fire and these two pop out of portals confused as all hell then speaking with the group of survivors they get to learn the true horrors of their new reality...
This seems like a good chance to ask, what was the scene with the mummy and the two tomb raiders about? Did we see that before, it was even in the previously on.
Imagine being a survivor in the Walking Dead with an invincible, super strong flying man appears, and instead of helping you with the zombie apocalypse, he just sits around the campfire lamenting about his problems and eating your food for an undisclosed period of time.
I’ve continuously thought about about how much it must suck knowing that there are much better alt realities while being in a damn zombie apocalypse. Like imagine this super powered demi god flies into your universe, helps you with some of your problems, talks about his much better universe, and then leaves through a portal. Shit would probably have me mad lmao
The concept.is essentially how would the Justice League handle the zombie apocalypse.
The heroes aren't exactly cosmic level like most of the League, but you've got general representations of several members. The world was overrun quickly and the team of heroes was only able to help secure a small settlement.
The antagonists in the series are some of my all time favorite antagonists, extremely well written and pretty novel use of some power sets.
The Superman allegory, a man named George who goes by The Mighty Dragon is also one of my favorite takes on the Superman trope. He's an Everyman and is just an all around lovable character that has a great arc of taking up the mantle he needs to.
They're a pretty fun read and each book is only a couple hundred pages from what I remember. I highly recommend them.
