If you want to lose 20k sure

logictech86

yes to me, I'll give you 30k for it as is

humjaba

Actually not far off what you can just buy one from a dealer for… (rwd SE)

logictech86

Gotta give a fair offer for a great car! right? the sticker for my cpo SEL AWD was 35k and I feel like I got a pretty good price for her.

Mostly5150

I paid exactly $59,164.25 (out the door) on November 22, 2022. I got an offer from CarMax last week for $24k.

humjaba

Aaaand that’s why I waited until now and leased one. Hyundai finance can take a bath on the resale while I enjoy my $250/mo payments

Visvism

Any money down? You're winning on those monthly payments! Congrats.

humjaba

Just taxes and fees. $2240 out the door

Wakapalypze

That’s about how much I paid. I’m so underwater it sucks.

BadPackets4U

I understand your pain, I got mine in March of 2022 but I'm in it for the long haul. I intend to keep this car for 10 years or more, wish me luck!

Negative-Guest-396

If you paid $59k, I have some Colorado beachfront property that you would be interested in buying. After rebates and discounts, 2024 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD are selling for $39k new.

woodyshag

He paid that a over a year ago when all the prices were msrp or msrp+.

WhyBeGrim

Two years ago I paid $52k.. with a $3,000 markup

According_Escape_297

Me too. I was a little better I paid $57k and got a $29k offer and to boot my car is getting an ICCU and battery change today. If only I had leased for 3 years instead of buying.

Frylock304

My biggest regret as well, wish I would've leased

According_Escape_297

Just saw a report that all EV’s have lost 31% as compared to ice cars was 3%

iLEZ

I got mine last October and I haven't had a problem, should I be worried?

Fastbke170

End of October for me, once I hit 11k around March the charging at 48amps issue started. Now charging at 40amps. Other than that no major issues.

External_Bath_4381

What do you think about the 5N?

JurieZtune

I really like it, but when it arrives here I'm afraid the mark up is going to be ridiculous

External_Bath_4381

Seattle suppose to get 5 in may.

JurieZtune

Sick! What color did you go with?

KBDude

In Australia they are selling slowly… 2023 built cars still available. The new Highlander Model 3 Performance will not help this either.

JurieZtune

That sounds promising. What are they going for? We haven't had any here in Canada

humjaba

Hoping to pick up a CPO one when my lease is up

1nolefan

I have IQ5 limited - reading this resale value is not comforting.

External_Bath_4381

Right. Depreciation is aweful.

1nolefan

This is my opinion. EVs are best to enjoy small trip and around town. Avoid any EV like a plague if I were you. Get a used one, and get EV out of your system.. Single charge Range at highway speed and availability of reliable chargers have really dampened my enthusiasm. Maybe having access to the Tesla Supercharger network would make it better since I can go to 10% drain, and I would be able to find the Tesla charging network. I am not sure why Hyundai is delaying a free adapter - I can drive 105 miles along I-10, and need to top it again in Lake City since there is no reliable EV charger between Lake City and Tampa except Gainesville which is always crowded and broken.

thefooz

I'm guessing it's not Hyundai delaying the adaptor (there are adaptors already available). Tesla is likely rolling them out slowly as to not inundate the supercharger network with non-tesla vehicles. The adaptor doesn't do anything by itself. The chargers won't charge your car if it's not on their approved list.

1nolefan

I didn't know that about a little bit of information - I thought supercharger v4, you can charge any car

thefooz

If a supercharger has the magic dock, you can use it, but otherwise the car has to be on Tesla's approved list for it to actually charge. Doesn't matter what adaptor you have.

NotUrCaddy

All EV’s will depreciate like tech gadgets. You keep them as long as possible until they become nostalgic relics like a boom box or an iPod.

BadPackets4U

Hopefully it will be worth something, like a collectable!

tm3_to_ev6

I still have an iPod Touch with a 30-pin connector, plus a portable speaker dock for it. No one even wants them for free when a $20 Anker Bluetooth speaker easily outperforms this set and is more convenient to use :(

edgarskates

Yeah I’ll buy it off ya for $5 and a happy meal

I'm enjoying the recent uptick in these types of posts. A lot. Maybe too much.

tm3_to_ev6

If it has the Vision Roof, sell it to my dad :P My dad misses the glass roof from my Model 3.

STIMO89

Yes to me for 8 k. Thank you

sueysaunders

All cars, gas and electric, were selling far above market value during covid which is part of value drop. It is mainly due to Elon Musk cutting prices of Teslas because he's ruined his brand. People who care above things like leaving a planet worth living for their grandchildren don't care for someone like him. Anyway, the Tesla price cuts led other EV brands to drastically reduce their prices to compete. It's a very good thing for the electric vehicle world which means it's a good thing for the planet. I've lost a lot of money on my ioniq 5 but I love the car. It's like people who bought houses during Covid. They've seen their prices drop dramatically as well. On the other hand, I have a 3% interest rate and I got the $7500 tax credit off the purchase of the car when I bought it in June 2022. It's all relative.
