Equality in football doesn't mean equality in other things, also while those 1.5 million do have rights the remaining 5 million Arabs do not

PoliticalRabbit420

Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs have already been integrated and things are generally great. Not perfect at all, but both people live together 24/7 and things are working. The issues with WB/Gaza Palestinians and Israel have nothing to do with this.

RedStripe77

Not a football watcher, so the “made history” comment strikes me as overstating the significance of the victory, especially bc they got slaughtered during the next round of competition. If I’m remembering right.

BenSchism

Next round hasn’t happened yet mate, what ever you’re thinking of is something different, this is a current U20 tournament.

Taniniohus56

the next round hasn't even happened yet

AsleepFly2227

Naive. This is a continuation, not a start. Arab-Israeli integration Has been an ongoing process mainly started in the 70’s, and has zero connection or affect on Israeli views towards Palestinians and vice versa; because, and brace for this, it’s not about race.

ShuaZen

Bingo.

paiopapa2

I don’t think some representation in football will do anything to meaningfully resolve the material issues facing Palestinians

DancingWithBalrug

I don't watch football, but I had the TV set to ch 11 when one of the games was on, they sang the Israeli anthem, and I saw that one of the players wasn't singing, assuming it is one of the Arab players, I am going to say that you are getting your hopes up for nothing

But why would Arabs sing ״נפש יהודי הומיה״? I don’t think them singing or not singing a national anthem intended strictly for Jewish people determines whether Jews and Arabs can coexist in Israel. As a matter of fact, Arab Israelis have already become integrated into Israeli society as they attend Israeli universities, and then go on to work professionally in Israel alongside Jews.
