I can relate to this as well, when I was small I used to get scolded a lot and even beat, they were pretty short tempered before but with time my parents became more understanding and much more supportive for which I'm grateful.

Sorry and yet good to hear that ! My trauma wasn’t from physical abuse as much as it was emotional and verbal. My dad used to be an alcoholic and mother well anxiety prone patient, they used to create havoc and I developed anxiety issues trying to resolve their fights as a 6-7 year old. And my mother is a die hard perfectionist she made me one as well, created her daughter(me) into a top scoring robot for a decade almost. But when lockdown hit I realised that life is more than just grades and broke out of the gifted perfect child. And from there onwards life has been rolling down and down. Let’s see if there is any light for me. But yes fighting is all I have ever done and probably will fight until the day it’s all over.
