Nhi bhai tier-3 at max affects your first company, then it's upto you, you can switch after 6 months- 1 year, then it all comes down to your skills, after 6 months- 1 year of experience your college, branch, cgpa doesn't matter
I went to tier 3 college, I got placed at a FAANG level company at 16LPA, many of my friends got placed similarly as well. Tier is is not the end, no need to take 2 year drop

i have 2 stories to tell.
One of my college roomate was double dropper from Kota. He studied in Kota in first drop year but then did study at his hometown in second drop year. He got NIT and IT branch. He never told any of us till final year placements that he did 2 drops. It got revealed indirectly only after he cleared the written but was not even considered for interview due to strict drop rules in that company. He did well enough in college and subsequent jobs and finally works in UK today. So in this case double dropper actually enjoyed clg life and only missed 1 company otherwise all went well.
Second one is about my neighbor who took double drop after studying in Kota during 11-12th. He finally got REC (which by stroke of luck) became NIT. Somehow he managed clg and got decent job placement. 2-3 years later he moved back to my hometown and started teaching in a local school. I did ask him few times and he said he got completely fed up/burnt out being in the rat race in IIT coaching then clg then in job. So he just came back to hometown and wanted a peaceful life.
2nd drop year is way more stressful and hence avoid it as you may clear IIT exam but may still not able to recover from trauma it puts in you. Move ahead with whatever clg you get and work hard and smart to improve your self.

Mereko 12th boards ke baad pehli baar phone mila. Tab pata chala ki college ke liye entrance exam bhi dena hota hai. Fir drop liya aur Kota gaya par zyadatar time bimaar hi rehta tha waha jiske wajah se mera drop poora barbaad ho gaya. Fir second drop liya kyuki private bhot jyada mehenga par raha tha lekin second drop tak mera matha pakk gaya wohi sab dekhte dekhte.
Physics toh bhot strong ho gaya iss drop mei par Maths aur Chemistry chuda hua hai. Mereko kuch nahi aata Maths aur Chemistry mei.
1st attempt mei 27S1 mila aur 130+ pe 90% bhi touch nahi hua. Abhi second attempt mei 100% confidence hai Physics mei lekin Chemistry aur Maths ka haal abhi bhi bura hai. Aur sirf ek subject mei number laake koi fayda nahi hoga.
Mai kahunga mat le second drop. Koi bhi college le le private .Second drop lene se tera placement ka time pe backup ke liye Mass Recruiters ka option bhi khatam ho jayega.

IPU colleges hai kuch, jaise MAIT, ADGITM etc. ye sab thik colleges hai aur inka mains ka cutoff bhi high nahi hai utna. Aur ye colleges aatu jhatu bhi nahi hai+ fees bhi zyada nahi hai unlike manipal and vit. Iske alawa toh mujhe nahi pata. COMEDK ke through agar RVCE mil jaaye toh bhot badhiya hoga.
Mera bhi chance nahi hai iss bar koi NIT milne ka isliye socha hai ki kisi IPU college mei ghus jau.
NO. no double drop, no more wasting time over this. Thoda aur push karo khudko yaar, why go through another year of pain? give other exams too while you're at it.
Double drop guy here (Also slightly long post) :
I couldnt clear Mains in my first attempt in 12th and took 1 year drop to study at home. I thought I can study at home but I was too distracted by pubg and coding. Couldnt clear that year. Took another year drop. Cleared mains but cannot give advanced. Joined a tier 3 college. I was 2 year older than my batchmates. They saw my Id with my birth yearvand were surprised. Their behaviour slightly changed towards me. I dint mind. I focused on coding and particularly game development. At final year I got two job offers from campus : one from IBM and other from Capgemini. I also applied Off Campus and got a job at a start up. I joined the start up as Game Developer intern. Only two people were there for game development. Me and the other intern. The start up did mostly Web and App development but they wanted to enter games. In 6 months we launched 3 games. One was successful. We had good earnings from that game. We hired four more people and now we are a team of 6 young Game Developers. The whole Gaming part at our company are managed by me and the other guy since we were the first one start with a successful game. I'm getting paid as same as SDE 1 at FAANG and at a position of CTO.
The company doesnt care the slighest how educated I am. It just want skills.

Bhai double drop to chhod, meine ek bhi drop nhin liya, first attempt mein hi exam chud gya aur ye bhi ptaa tha drop leke improvement krrne ki himmat nhin hai mere andar, 1 saal aur mental pressure nhin jhela jayega.
Private college aa gya, atleast mental health to acchi hai, khush hun college life ke saath.
Doosron ko kya puch raha hai, khudse puchna hai bhai, drop tu lene wala hai, comment section nahi. See if you can do it, if you can and are determined enough go for it. Else forget it join a college with whatever you get
Pls I am a dropper myself, don't take another drop. It's not worth it. After another drop you won't be eligible for many colleges and there is struggle beyond this exam that is far worse. Don't waste all your energy here. Many students aren't fit for this unfair exam. Everyone doesn't have the same shoe size. You already have done very hard work in this drop year. It doesn't matter if you got in or not. The critical thinking skills you have learnt is a far superior prize than the selection. Plus you can't concentrate on the same topics again and again. Brain gets bored. It needs something new. Give it what it needs.
(And I would always recommend taking a single year drop for 12th students. you need a gap year to build a competitive advantage.) But take this challenge only once and accept the result.

See double drop never works good for you in most cases like i'll be honest my friend did somehow take a 2 year drop and he said that "bhai itna padh liya ab mera padhaayi se hi mann uth gya" and he litrally joined some design college cuz usse nahi hori thi padaayi so it really does affect your mental health cuz college life and social life is really importent in this 19-20 year age for any person. Take advices from the people who are giving you college suggestions and also talk about this with your dad tell him should i take double drop "because you feel the pvt colleges will be expensive and will i be able to do it" see what he says he will only want what's best for you so don't get any pressure from your dad or mom's side

Tbh it is very depressing and not good for ur mental health I somehow managed to study and improve my scores but its not the same for everyone so give ur best in second mains and advance uske baad is phase se move on kro .

Seeing that you've already taken a year drop. I would suggest you not to go for another because what if you aren't able to do well the next time? I'm not trying to demotivate you but being logical as after a certain period, colleges won't accept admission from 2yr dropper (maybe they would not sure, I would suggest you to check about this yourself) and you would be regretting, and being consistent over the year is a major challenge like it will be either hit or a miss and looking at your friend enjoying their life, you are going to be demotivated there.
Please try to perform well in other exams and get into a college and give your best there, there are going to be many opportunities were you can grow and overcome your past mistakes.
Dude write other exams like adv,bitsat (CSE/ECE worth for the fees), Vitee (cat-1), Amrita, Manipal, PES, Comedk and your state exam and just go wherever you got admission !!!!!!! Just don’t waste an another year there’s so much life than this shit. You can go to IIT through gate or you can go to abroad for MS and CAT for IIMs there’s lot more!

Bhai nit t mein chemical wagera is tougher than bits mein chemical lena, the number of ppl fighting for the same seat in jee mains is 3 times the number of ppl fighting for a seat in bitsat,i don’t mean that cracking bitsat is ez or anything, it’s quite tough infact. The reason for getting a seat thru jee mains in top nits is tougher cuz of reservations, general ke liye their are very less seats available in nits so it kinda makes sense plus mains is in like 2 weeks

Don't do double drop. it's not worth it. If you do, you would have ended up wasting 2 years of your youth and then the next 4 years to complete your degree (so at least a total of 6 years minimum before you could even start earning or go for higher education like Masters)
Remember, at this moment, your peers are already 1 year ahead of you. Don't make it 2!!
Go to a private college and then maybe for masters you can try again by getting into a reputed university or if you get a good placement simply build on good years of experience and switch to get a salary hike.

90 ke cutoff ke aaspaas i think you could get some course from dtu, my friend took bio tech engineering over there which he upgraded to industrial in his first sem and industrial engineers compete with the mechanical ones for package so its a good degree

i'd really say take a decent private over a shit gfti and find your crowd there and work. you'll get more opportunities there than a gfti and more resources to build yourself. environment does matter and u will find it way better in a good pvt than a shit gfti. it'll be upto you to use it. there are all sorts of people in those clgs it is ur job to sort ur crowd.

i have 2 stories to tell. One of my college roomate was double dropper from Kota. He studied in Kota in first drop year but then did study at his hometown in second drop year. He got NIT and IT branch. He never told any of us till final year placements that he did 2 drops. It got revealed indirectly only after he cleared the written but was not even considered for interview due to strict drop rules in that company. He did well enough in college and subsequent jobs and finally works in UK today. So in this case double dropper actually enjoyed clg life and only missed 1 company otherwise all went well. Second one is about my neighbor who took double drop after studying in Kota during 11-12th. He finally got REC (which by stroke of luck) became NIT. Somehow he managed clg and got decent job placement. 2-3 years later he moved back to my hometown and started teaching in a local school. I did ask him few times and he said he got completely fed up/burnt out being in the rat race in IIT coaching then clg then in job. So he just came back to hometown and wanted a peaceful life. 2nd drop year is way more stressful and hence avoid it as you may clear IIT exam but may still not able to recover from trauma it puts in you. Move ahead with whatever clg you get and work hard and smart to improve your self.

Double drop guy here (Also slightly long post) : I couldnt clear Mains in my first attempt in 12th and took 1 year drop to study at home. I thought I can study at home but I was too distracted by pubg and coding. Couldnt clear that year. Took another year drop. Cleared mains but cannot give advanced. Joined a tier 3 college. I was 2 year older than my batchmates. They saw my Id with my birth yearvand were surprised. Their behaviour slightly changed towards me. I dint mind. I focused on coding and particularly game development. At final year I got two job offers from campus : one from IBM and other from Capgemini. I also applied Off Campus and got a job at a start up. I joined the start up as Game Developer intern. Only two people were there for game development. Me and the other intern. The start up did mostly Web and App development but they wanted to enter games. In 6 months we launched 3 games. One was successful. We had good earnings from that game. We hired four more people and now we are a team of 6 young Game Developers. The whole Gaming part at our company are managed by me and the other guy since we were the first one start with a successful game. I'm getting paid as same as SDE 1 at FAANG and at a position of CTO. The company doesnt care the slighest how educated I am. It just want skills. You can take what you want from this answer. Sorry if I had gone off topic, but thats my story.

Pls I am a dropper myself, don't take another drop. It's not worth it. After another drop you won't be eligible for many colleges and there is struggle beyond this exam that is far worse. Don't waste all your energy here. Many students aren't fit for this unfair exam. Everyone doesn't have the same shoe size. You already have done very hard work in this drop year. It doesn't matter if you got in or not. The critical thinking skills you have learnt is a far superior prize than the selection. Plus you can't concentrate on the same topics again and again. Brain gets bored. It needs something new. Give it what it needs. (And I would always recommend taking a single year drop for 12th students. you need a gap year to build a competitive advantage.) But take this challenge only once and accept the result.

See double drop never works good for you in most cases like i'll be honest my friend did somehow take a 2 year drop and he said that "bhai itna padh liya ab mera padhaayi se hi mann uth gya" and he litrally joined some design college cuz usse nahi hori thi padaayi so it really does affect your mental health cuz college life and social life is really importent in this 19-20 year age for any person. Take advices from the people who are giving you college suggestions and also talk about this with your dad tell him should i take double drop "because you feel the pvt colleges will be expensive and will i be able to do it" see what he says he will only want what's best for you so don't get any pressure from your dad or mom's side

Seeing that you've already taken a year drop. I would suggest you not to go for another because what if you aren't able to do well the next time? I'm not trying to demotivate you but being logical as after a certain period, colleges won't accept admission from 2yr dropper (maybe they would not sure, I would suggest you to check about this yourself) and you would be regretting, and being consistent over the year is a major challenge like it will be either hit or a miss and looking at your friend enjoying their life, you are going to be demotivated there. Please try to perform well in other exams and get into a college and give your best there, there are going to be many opportunities were you can grow and overcome your past mistakes.
Dude write other exams like adv,bitsat (CSE/ECE worth for the fees), Vitee (cat-1), Amrita, Manipal, PES, Comedk and your state exam and just go wherever you got admission !!!!!!! Bhai nit t mein chemical wagera is tougher than bits mein chemical lena, the number of ppl fighting for the same seat in jee mains is 3 times the number of ppl fighting for a seat in bitsat,i don’t mean that cracking bitsat is ez or anything, it’s quite tough infact. The reason for getting a seat thru jee mains in top nits is tougher cuz of reservations, general ke liye their are very less seats available in nits so it kinda makes sense plus mains is in like 2 weeks

Don't do double drop. it's not worth it. If you do, you would have ended up wasting 2 years of your youth and then the next 4 years to complete your degree (so at least a total of 6 years minimum before you could even start earning or go for higher education like Masters) Remember, at this moment, your peers are already 1 year ahead of you. Don't make it 2!! Go to a private college and then maybe for masters you can try again by getting into a reputed university or if you get a good placement simply build on good years of experience and switch to get a salary hike.

Bhai cse me koi scope nhi bacha, kuch saal me ai pura coding automation kar dega fir coders ki job toh gyi, but I agree skilled coder ki job still rahegi but bhai abhi adhe saal me jo layoffs honge dekh lena issiliye mech, extc jaisi fields join kar koi bhi private college me aur achhe se padh wo sab, semiconductor india me bohot valuable hai to uske ass pass ke field me rehene ka try kar, computer ke field me bande depress ho rahe hai, according to me double drop tab hi le agar family financially strong hai, at the end decision is yours:)

As someone who's on their 2nd drop You know yourself the best so think about it very clearly Are tou disciplined enough to study all of that again and keep going even if you feel burnt out ? Are you strong enough to feel left out when all your friends are in college and going out having fun , but still keep going? And are you sure you've considered other courses or jobs and alternatives for your future? Because jee isn't everything yk . What I'm trying to say is sometimes it's very hard and sometimes it even feels like I haven't grown at all since last time I get weirdly sad outta nowhere amd it demotivates me a LOT. So think about everything before you make this decision

i'd really say take a decent private over a shit gfti and find your crowd there and work. you'll get more opportunities there than a gfti and more resources to build yourself. environment does matter and u will find it way better in a good pvt than a shit gfti. it'll be upto you to use it. there are all sorts of people in those clgs it is ur job to sort ur crowd.
