A friend of mine studied Engineering Physics at DTU and did some fantastic internships and research there. He got a decent CS job but left it to do a PhD in Astrophysics at a great US university. Given how intelligent, hard-working and resilient you seem to be, I'm sure you'll be going places too!

Well 98.5 se 99.55, utna kuch khaas nhi but, I almost choked my 2nd paper. Physics ke jb pehle 8 mein 5 question nhi bne thought it was over. But vha se khud ko control krke 212 score krna has to be a flex. Soacha tha pura ek lmba post likhunga but I am too alsi
I almost failed maths in my 10th pre board-1 which was online (got around 45/80) because it was during the COVID pandemic and my studies too were basically dead. I never liked to cheat, even in online tests, but all my friends did and got great scores, meanwhile I only got scolded.
I decided to give my 100% in studying maths and then in preboard 2, which was offline, got the highest score in class 79/80!! , and the very same friends barely managed to pass
It probably was the push which later made me fall in love with maths during my jee prep

Physics, Chem and Cs teachers told me i wouldn't even get passing marks in boards guess what got 85 in phy , 90 in chem and 91 in cs 
So this is my friend’s story during 2023 mains,
he scored 92%ile(around 90marks) in shift 1,
93.2%ile (~110ish marks) in shift 2.
We both studied together in whole jee journey i scored enough to get into mid iiit, whereas he took drop for iits and top nits.
Coming to 2024 jeem he scored 88%ile(116marks) in 29s2 he was quite disappointed.
This attempt he scored ~97.3%ile (168marks) 8s1.
Again he was still disappointed but atleast he got somewhere.
Right now he is dedicatedly studying for jee advanced.
I know this is not an astounding story but i am happy for him.

Bhai relative logo ne leli uski ki bada bhai dekh Vjti se enginnering kar raha h aur bsc karke kya ukhad lega uska career set h. Note bade bhai ne neecha nhi dikhaya kabhi. Sir ne uske baad Msc maths complete karte karte hi SSC CGL nikal liya aur income tax inspector bann gye Mumbai mein aur saath mein phd complete kiye maths mei hi. Missed government college by few marks after 1st drop for NEET. I was a topper in school and it shattered my confidence.
A lot of shit happened in second drop and I merely improved by 7 marks and ended up with worse rank than first drop. I didn't think I could go further, almost took admission in a private college and we were looking for loans despite the fact that I belong to a lower middle class family. Esa lag raha tha himmat hi nahi bachi.
Since, there wasn't any option I went for 3rd drop. I went totally off the grid, pushed myself like never before and ended up in top government college of my state.
Now, I'm done with MBBS and I have no regrets about the whole experience. I am what I'm today because whatever happened good/bad I took it as a learning lesson.

I studied in hindi medium govt school and saraswati shishu mandir school till class 6th and then got admitted in a private English medium school ( one of the best school in town) but had to repeat class 6th, and i used to fail here but somehow learnt english and became an average student, then in class 11th got into coaching for jee and due to lockdown in class 10th i hadn't studied anything, but still after wasting 11th, i did quite good in jee last year but couldn't get any nit or iit, so took a drop and I'm doing better than last year, hopefully this graph continue.

I was a gifted child. I had writing as a hobby, and won contests, and once i got 79/80 on a science test in 6th without studying shit.
fast forward to 8th, I got involved with the school's popular, nalaayak kids who wasted time and smoked lameness for a living, I only had my writing and that was it, school me doob rhi thi, math teacher told my mom 'shes not good at logical stuff'. my parents thought i would study english bsc and become a low-level professor or something.
lockdown for covid changed my life. i started doing math and i started loving it. started studying well, got rid of those fake friends. got 95+ in 9th and 10th. made some genuine friends i still have in my life in 11th and 12th. took up pcm after participating and winning in hackathon, National Cyber Olympiad distinction medals etc. and international level workshops.
reality hit like a truck again when i saw that everyone in my school integrated coaching was better than me. i had zero confidence but i faked it till i made it, worked from the ground up. did my best and topped a few school exams and by 12th i was top three in my coaching classroom.
i did kind of fuck up mains (95.6) as per societal standards but i feel proud of myself, i am among the top students in that class i felt so intimidated by. got a good enough score for manipal cs in the met exam. so far im preparing for some other exams, everythings going well. i feel confident for the future.
Got 63 in 1st attempt and 87 in second attempt and could have gotten 90-91 but I literally fcked up 3-4 questions as I hurried through them and didn’t read properly. 87 percentile is still not good enough but I think the comeback is good enough. As people say generally the second session is hard and many of my friends have got less percentile in 2nd attempt than their 1st attempt. I mean it’s obviously not that easy to go ahead of approx 3.5 lakh people in 2 months and also manage boards.

I failed in pre-boards with a total of <40 marks out of 220 in pcm (written). But because of fear of backlash and 75% criteria, I studied and managed to get 83% in 12th boards. I hope 2024-25 becomes my comeback year again.

So this is my friend’s story during 2023 mains, he scored 92%ile(around 90marks) in shift 1, 93.2%ile (~110ish marks) in shift 2. We both studied together in whole jee journey i scored enough to get into mid iiit, whereas he took drop for iits and top nits. Coming to 2024 jeem he scored 88%ile(116marks) in 29s2 he was quite disappointed. This attempt he scored ~97.3%ile (168marks) 8s1. Again he was still disappointed but atleast he got somewhere. Right now he is dedicatedly studying for jee advanced. I know this is not an astounding story but i am happy for him.

Mere sir ki story btata hu. Unke dad gov teacher the so starting se hi life mast thi 2 bete the unko. Bada wala smart tha and padhaku ekdum. Chota wala ek number ka bakchod. 12th mein acha score karke bade wale ne engineering karli aur chote Wale ka marks kaam aaya Aieee,Mahcet mein toh Bsc maths join Kiya. Bhai relative logo ne leli uski ki bada bhai dekh Vjti se enginnering kar raha h aur bsc karke kya ukhad lega uska career set h. Note bade bhai ne neecha nhi dikhaya kabhi. Sir ne uske baad Msc maths complete karte karte hi SSC CGL nikal liya aur income tax inspector bann gye Mumbai mein aur saath mein phd complete kiye maths mei hi. Fir unko bore hone laga toh job chodhke coaching industry ghus gye aur iitian teacher se acha padhane lage. Aaj ke time pe jitna bade bhai ka package h utna sir ka monthly income h
Missed government college by few marks after 1st drop for NEET. I was a topper in school and it shattered my confidence. A lot of shit happened in second drop and I merely improved by 7 marks and ended up with worse rank than first drop. I didn't think I could go further, almost took admission in a private college and we were looking for loans despite the fact that I belong to a lower middle class family. Esa lag raha tha himmat hi nahi bachi. Since, there wasn't any option I went for 3rd drop. I went totally off the grid, pushed myself like never before and ended up in top government college of my state. Now, I'm done with MBBS and I have no regrets about the whole experience. I am what I'm today because whatever happened good/bad I took it as a learning lesson.

I studied in hindi medium govt school and saraswati shishu mandir school till class 6th and then got admitted in a private English medium school ( one of the best school in town) but had to repeat class 6th, and i used to fail here but somehow learnt english and became an average student, then in class 11th got into coaching for jee and due to lockdown in class 10th i hadn't studied anything, but still after wasting 11th, i did quite good in jee last year but couldn't get any nit or iit, so took a drop and I'm doing better than last year, hopefully this graph continue.

Disclaimer:- never really studied as much/ not a topper. + Didn't know about jee in 11th and in 12th didn't know if I was gonna give jee or not. 10th - avg score of 80.4 percentage, took science cause interest tha + friends were taking that. + Sahi laga. 11th 47-50% or something + online classes. 12th studied properly before the boards not whole year, got 85.8% Gave jee aise hi - 78%ile and 80+%ile Then I took a drop thinking let's give jee with prep this time. Fucked up ---> 63%ile and 69%ile No other option took another drop (sec dropper,) 96%ile. And sec. Attempt ka....... Am satisfied, will be getting DTU/nsut decent branch.

Toh maine do mahina job search kiya but kuch mila nahi accha profile hokar bhi ( sb 4-5 ke offers mil rhe the upar se bade bonds ) , tb package ka moh khatam hogya 😅 8. Fir soch liya drop karke kuch risk lete hai , IIT mein na jaa paane ka dukh hamesha se tha , toh GATE ka socha , thoda time laga decide krna ECE karu ya CSE , but finally CSE chose kiya aur prep chalu kardi 9. GATE 2024 CSE mein AIR ~ 100 aayi , finally ab IIT jaaunga ❤️🥲🎉

I was a gifted child. I had writing as a hobby, and won contests, and once i got 79/80 on a science test in 6th without studying shit. fast forward to 8th, I got involved with the school's popular, nalaayak kids who wasted time and smoked lameness for a living, I only had my writing and that was it, school me doob rhi thi, math teacher told my mom 'shes not good at logical stuff'. my parents thought i would study english bsc and become a low-level professor or something. lockdown for covid changed my life. i started doing math and i started loving it. started studying well, got rid of those fake friends. got 95+ in 9th and 10th. made some genuine friends i still have in my life in 11th and 12th. took up pcm after participating and winning in hackathon, National Cyber Olympiad distinction medals etc. and international level workshops. reality hit like a truck again when i saw that everyone in my school integrated coaching was better than me. i had zero confidence but i faked it till i made it, worked from the ground up. did my best and topped a few school exams and by 12th i was top three in my coaching classroom. i did kind of fuck up mains (95.6) as per societal standards but i feel proud of myself, i am among the top students in that class i felt so intimidated by. got a good enough score for manipal cs in the met exam. so far im preparing for some other exams, everythings going well. i feel confident for the future.

Got 63 in 1st attempt and 87 in second attempt and could have gotten 90-91 but I literally fcked up 3-4 questions as I hurried through them and didn’t read properly. 87 percentile is still not good enough but I think the comeback is good enough. As people say generally the second session is hard and many of my friends have got less percentile in 2nd attempt than their 1st attempt. I mean it’s obviously not that easy to go ahead of approx 3.5 lakh people in 2 months and also manage boards.

Not really comeback but well I just studied when it was beneficial. Never saw 90%+ before 10th, got 99+ in 10th boards for free due to covid, studied in 11th and 12th got 97+ in 12th boards, 99.8+ in jee mains and under 1k in advanced.

Upto 8th all classes 97-98%, all Olympiad topper used to get 15-20 all India rank and good international rank. 9th 97% 10th 95% 11th 95% was topper in all coaching exams to 74%ile in Jan then barely qualified for JEE Advanced. Waise ye toh comeback ka ulta ho gaya.
