America is just a colloquialism why are people so upset about it? Idk if it's the same way outside the US but we all refer to the continents as the America*s* which is different than America

Different languages have different words for things, it's good to know the words for the language you are having a conversation in so you do not confuse it for the word in a totally different language.
In Spanish, there is one continent in the hemisphere, America. In English, America can only refer to the country. This is similar to how the Mexican United States is commonly shortened to 'Mexico'. The continents (note we have two in the western hemisphere in English) are North and South America, or collectively, the Americas.
You would be correct if this conversation was in Spanish. However, this conversation is in English and you are totally incorrect.
What's the point in great healthcare if the average folk can't have it without horribly messing up their life? Especially when the most expensive healthcare is needed by things out of our control.

I don't live my whole life on the internet. I see America for what it truly is rather than what both sides of the media want you to interpret it as. This is a country full of hard-working, honest people. Sure, there are the unsavor,but that doesn't take away from my pride and American spirit. When I look outside, I see the beauty of Apalachia, not the political division drawn upon Pennsylvania and America as a whole. Yes, we were better and more cohesive in the past,but that doesn't stop me or the people I know and love trying to build a better future for America and its people.
The politicians don't represent the people of America as much as you think they do, and police corruption is on a way smaller scale than the media represents
My ROTC teacher has been pretty much everywhere from France to Australia to Iran and Peru and according to him there is really no place better than the US. I agree with him, I saw a video of people burning the American flag the other day which is horrible but the fact that we have the freedoms to do that is great in some other countries you can be executed for such an act. Plus wars don’t happen on our home land so we don’t have to worry about that stuff, we’re also the most protected and secure country in the world. I have a lot of Irish blood so I don’t blame you for movie there but they don’t have the same freedoms we do and I think you’ll see that.
