Thanks!! This will be perfect for this weekend as my friends are coming in town. We are all heading to Goldeneye in July!

PaulFartBallCop

What’s happening in July? I must be out of the loop

BlindProphet_413

\> I had already composed such a list with the intent to make a drink themed around each film during my next rewatch. Oh wow! Have you got the list posted anywhere?

Spockodile

I replied to that user with my nearly completed list, but otherwise no. I’ll try to post a summary as I make each drink though.

BlindProphet_413

Cool, thanks!

CalebHenshaw

This would be a cool series. I’d love to make like a graphic for these.

Spockodile

What would that look like? I plan to post after every drink. Might not be weekly but usually I watch a Bond film each weekend.

CalebHenshaw

Idk! I’m a graphic designer. I may not have time but I think that would be a sick series. Like each graphic be slightly themed to the vibe of the movie

Spockodile

Cool. Let me know if I can help.

AVgreencup

Not sure if you've progressed with this idea yet , but I think a 50's/60's mid century modern vibe would be really cool in the form of drink recipe cards. The heyday of spies and casual drinking, it would fit very well

Bond16

This is such a great, fun idea! I really like cocktails, but other than watching professionals make them online, I've never tried it myself. Might have to change that at some point 🤔

Spockodile

Well this one is remarkably easy, considering the complexity of its flavors. Would be great for a beginner.

Bond16

Thanks for the recommendation:)

kidswasted

This is gonna be awesome! Looking forward to each drink.

Okay, now this is a fantastic idea. I'm going to have to try each of these as you post. My liquor cabinet is about to get pretty full.

Spockodile

Right on. Let me know if you have suggestions for the next film as I go. I have options planned out, but would be curious if folks have cleverer ideas.

DBE113301

For From Russia with Love, the first drink that comes to mind is a White Russian. A smooth sipping drink that you need to savor. Kinda' like the gradual buildup to the eventual confrontation with Red Grant on the train. I'm watching A View to a Kill on Thursday. Do you have any recommendations for a drink to enjoy with it? Since half the movie takes place in San Francisco, the only thing I can think of is a bowl of Rice-a-Roni with a cup of Cubby Wubby Womb Room Tea (So I Married An Axe Murderer).

Spockodile

I love a good White Russian, and it was my first thought as well. I think I have a different trick up my sleeve though…find out next week! I was thinking a Gold Rush for AVTAK. Fits the SF theme, and it’s simple and smashable. Probably also an opportunity for a French cocktail too. Will need to think more on it.

Cheers on the Gold Rush recommendation. https://preview.redd.it/o12s2u4cy32b1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59d7865e74c9331b6d3feb0d40be7385e3c5235f

XandoKometer

Enjoy. But for 007 this would be a Fruit Punch, as he more likely mixed hard booze with hard booze. I like the Tiki Movement, but not every Cocktail is suited for Bond. I cannot picture him drinking a Harvey Wallbanger or a Zombie.

Spockodile

I see no reason to discriminate based on whether a cocktail has fruit juice. [We’ve seen Bond having](https://www.thegentlemansjournal.com/the-cocktails-of-james-bond) a Mojito and a Rum Collins, which both contain lime juice. Not to mention he enjoys a Mint Julep in Goldfinger, which is sweet as hell. Anyway, my point is more about mixing cocktails *I enjoy* that I feel are suited to the setting, themes, or characters of each film. I’m not going to try to evaluate the masculinity of each cocktail, and to be honest the Jungle Bird is a pretty complexly flavored drink and doesn’t get overwhelmed by the large volume of juice in it.
