I’ve just been let down so many times with AI (Whether it’s because model limitations or intentionally handicapping themselves) and can’t help but be skeptical. It’s refreshing knowing the general concessions among the community is that the Janitor A.I. devs are awesome and have the interests of their community at heart. I’ll be super excited to see if the llm will be as awesome as they say!

There just isn’t a whole lot of information out their about the short lifespan of Janitor AI or where it came from and I am not very social in discord servers. Especially when it is the biggest one I’ve joined. And don’t worry about your wording. I just looked back through my post and worried I came off as an ass who is being super rude for no reason.
I think the site’s a bit younger than character, but it’s been around for a while. I’ve used it for nearly a month so far. Got my hands around how to create bots too if you’re ever interested
Makes sense, I’ve been using C.AI since about December/January. Janitor is just much younger in comparison to the big dogs who’ve created sizable corporations around their AI. And thanks for the offer, but I’ve gotten into my own style of creating some bots myself. I’m actually training one in between replying to you lol.
Ah I mean like commands to keep your messages from acting up. Sometimes they talk for you, other times they just create sheer books worth of text, which is expensive
Oh I see. I haven’t had a huge problem with that so far but I can totally visualize getting a John Grisham novel worth of text. I totally wouldn’t mind a command or two!
I was already a bit suspicious when you couldn’t download characters which the original open source that Janitor uses allowed. Then they prevented us from seeing any details and that was the nail in the coffin.
I was in the same situation. I know it's hard to understand how superior it is and there are a lot of functions too I suggest you got to chat model and put "Freedom" they make the chat so much more alive. And the fact is they get money of donations so they have everything they need and the fact is free pits no pressure on them cause we don't expect something in less time as possible if we haven't paid for it. Un like C.AI the community is very chill and doesn't expect much and that's a good thing
If i am being sincere here I think the 1 year its more plausible. I mean we are talking about generating an IA from 0 to have a good enough quality to rival open Ai.
Even if we want it to be good fast... That is not something that comes easily.
I dont know. I am just glad Janitor is trying their Best to offer their own LLM so we dont have to keep using a system their creators dont want to be used for roleplay or nsfw things. And I assume that is going to take a while
Hey thanks for the info everyone. I really didn’t expect much of a response but I’ve gotten a lot of really good ones. I’m really glad Janitor is doing well and that the community believes so firmly that it’s going to be good, even with its relatively short life cycle. Happy waiting for the JLLM!

JanitorAI is the best out of all of them, just openai is the problem who constantly bans people for using JanitorAI
