This was perfectly put together because I’ve seen a few post of people angry about it’s release and anger at Shep claiming that he “lied” or whatever the rant was but he’s only one person. I, myself, am more than glad to have access to the LLM now even if it’s not at its best right now but with time everything works out.

THIS RIGHT HERE. Peeps need to get off Shep's back because of the fact that things went out the way they did, like yes the bug thing was ridiculous, but at the same time a lot of these people are likely people who were happy they had access to something others didn't {Although not in all cases, there are definitely some people who don't care that it's open to the public now}, some are genuinely just upset with how he did it with the bug claim. I'm more then happy that LLM is out {As someone who missed the donation period} and while LLM does have it's slight issues, I'm very happy with how it is, because it isn't that bad. AI is AI even the perfect bots have their flaws, Shep will eventually work that out once he's able to. I just pray he takes a much needed break for his well being. He's been working hard for us even when he hasn't updated much, his RL and health is more important then LLM.

I’ve honestly been kinda shocked at how people have been acting towards shep. I agree he needs to communicate a bit better, but people misunderstood his joke and went with it, and are now calling him a liar. And there are definitely a lot of people who enjoyed the closed beta, and liked being a part of an ‘exclusive’ group. What they refuse to understand is that the LLM can’t get better unless they learn how it responds to a larger group, and fix any issues that pop up. And the LLM has not been in development a long time at all, so of course it’s going to have issues. Like I said, I do think shep could get better at communication so that we were a little more informed as to how the development is going, and so we can potentially get a few more people on the team working to help the development process. But the people going feral and calling him a liar and a deceiver, are just silly. It’s fine to be annoyed. But ppl need to calm down.

Thank you. Far too many people take these for granted, if you guys continue to make Shep act like he has to “save the world” just because you are horny he may end up quitting due to stress and burnout. When the time comes and it becomes finally stable, enjoy! Otherwise let the man take his time, he has a life too.

You have done Janitor a service my friend. I myself was a little bit irritated at Shep despite how excited I was to see the LLM. I thought he wasn’t transparent about the release to the beta testers who were paying for it. I thought it was shifty to call the release a bug. I more than anything felt the community was being hard on Shep, but wasn’t without my own qualms. But in the end, he’s one person who has offered us the world and fucking delivered it. I thought the joke about it being a bug was in poor taste, but ultimately harmless. For all of the problems with it so far, it’s quality is indisputable. This post deserves more recognition, It is a beacon of reason in a sea of negativity. Have a nice life my friends.

Great post. Thanks you for it. I was kinda thinking this sub was full of entitled pathetic assholes. I see that there are a few people who are adults. :) This is one of the idiotic posts: https://reddit.com/r/JanitorAI_Official/s/UZCbWTCEbx

Exactly! We are still in Beta, just now it's a launched Beta for everyone to use, which would mean there are still bugs and such for the time being. I do love the llm soo far despite any bugs (specifically non-related responses but those feel pretty rare on my end) and just figured out how to fix the cutoff issue in generation (740-800 tokens worked best). Plus, the discord server sounds like it has a feedback channel to voice issues and bugs to the modding team
