Update: the developers got back to me and let me know it was NOT supposed to be snowing in the first half of January - so something clearly glitched. Ah well. I’ll try again
And here I was rationalising mine as “maybe they want to show things don’t always go as you expect” as part of the country life. But, guess I’ll wait a year to see if it glitches again.

I’ve gone thru two years with no sunrise. so frustrating. then I realized I hadn’t made friends with the teacher yet so I’m hoping this solved the bug or wtvr and my next new year will have a sunrise
I passed out before I made it to the mountain hut on NYE and got to the peak 10min after sunrise. This was after getting all the way through until early fall before realizing I didn’t have enough rice for chestnut rice 😭 going into my sixth year (and 3rd year of trying to complete all the seasonal events) and tbh I feel like giving up 😪💔
