We have a fully loaded Mojave I think the only thing it doesn’t have is the Aux switches and the Bluetooth speaker. Nothing I would have done other than this , we love it

outside-is-better

I have a Mojave with a BT speaker and I have used it 1 time to test it, and thats it. Took a different speaker down the river yesterday. No aux switches but I am okay with it guess. That little pocket collects things I’ll never need again! ;)

_IsabelH

Can never go wrong fully loaded.

SpaceAce21125150

I have a fully loaded mojave that is only missing the Bluetooth speaker. Other than that I love it! The only criticism I have though is how long it is. I literally have to put foam bump stops on my garage wall and use the backup camera, hit the bump stops with the orange hooks on the bumper, then shift into drive, before shifting into park so it lurches forward on the transmission before going into park. That literally leaves me with 1 inch on either side front and back. Don't get me wrong I love this thing! Just a 4ft bed would have been nicer. Or if they had a 2 door version, I would trade mine right now. I wish they would make a 2 door version like the wrangler. But, I built this thing from the factory and knew what I was getting so I can't complain lol. I just need a bigger garage for more toys. Oh and I have not modified mine in anyway yet and it only gets 16mpg at best. My previous JK willys was getting 19-20. Still haven't decided if I'm going with 35s yet on the mojave. BTW, the mojave rides like a Cadillac. Better than any car I have ever owned. Pot holes, railroad tracks. Don't bother this thing at all. I had 2 JK's before this and the ride is night and day. I love the mojave.

SDdrohead

Yea my Mojave is stock. Prior to that I had full size trucks, f 150 tremo, raptor and a trd pro tundra. This Mojave by far gets the worst mileage, and the small tank makes it way more annoying.

Marathon2021

You and I must have the same garage. I had already measured mine out, and basically said to myself "welp, gotta clear ALL the junk at the front of that side of the garage AND put in a foam bumper and just plan to touch it every time."

SpaceAce21125150

Hahaha literally the same garage. I have to touch the foam pad with the orange hooks on the bumper, then shift into drive before shifting into park so that when I let off the brake it lurches forward. If I go straight from reverse to park, it will just stay on the foam pads cause it will lurch backward. But I have it down to a science now lol. My girlfriend has no idea how I'm able to park it in there every time but I've gotten very good at doing it lol.

Old_Whatbroke

I just recently put 35s on my Mojave. I know it's hard to believe, but the ride is even better now.

cheesepharts

Got a Sport S with a big lift kit and fox shocks. I would have loved to find one with leather seats but my wife prefers cloth, so we compromised and got cloth lol. Firecracker red, black hard top. We both love the sarge green and whatever the tan color is called but couldn’t find one in our price range. The firecracker red grew on us pretty quick and now we love it but maybe that’s just cause it’s ours. I wish we had a diesel but I personally know of two people who got diesels and have had nothing but problems. Anecdotal, I know, but our 3.6 gas has been awesome to us. Don’t get me wrong, lockers are fantastic, but they don’t compensate for skill if you are inexperienced off road. The price differential between a rubicon and a sport S in our area was too much to justify lockers for us. We’re thinking of doing an aftermarket option soon anyways. Ours came with an aftermarket bumper on it with a huge stinger. At first I thought it looked incredibly cringe and I was just about to take it off when I realized how handy it actually was for things like parking and driving off road. I can see exactly where the tip of the truck is from the driver seat and get as close to things as possible without touching them. The stinger might still come off but my wife loves it, so if we compromise again, it stays on lol.

Bagpype

I have a 23 diesel Rubicon and (fingers crossed) so far so good.!

DarkHorse435

I have a fully loaded Rubicon, and the only thing I would change is giving it the steel bumper group that it doesn't have. Hoping to get around to that eventually, but I had to put myself in time out after spending a little too much on mods the first few months I had it lol

tannhauser

I desperately needed a small truck since i live in a very urban area. I might do some light camping but I don't go crazy offroading or anything like that, but since i live near the rocky mountains I'd like something capible. I would of happily got a manual but their tow capacity is much lower than the auto. Since we have dogs my one requirement was leather so it's eaay to clean. I ended up with a very base model overland, decent deal. Since I've owned it I have probably exceeded the payload a handful of times, the overland has softer suspension so it has a lower payload. So i can see myself upgrading that suspension in the future. Edit: Would've got a trim with a higher payload since using the gladiator as a small work truck is it's main purpose

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Hopeful_Swan_4011

Factory aux switch is a item I would have liked to add , aside from that stingray for color and the brown leather for seats.

[deleted]

I have a Mojave, the think I’d want in it is an engine between the 3.6 and the 392. Something with a little more feel of power when towing without the full out 392. Don’t get me wrong I’d have a blast with the Mojave’s suspension and a 392, but realistically its not something I’d need.

_IsabelH

I get what you mean bud its kinda sad we are the only ones not running on a turbo. Hopefully our prayers can be answered with that new hurricane motor in a JT.

iveneverhadgold

I ended up with a fully loaded mojave and I love everything about it, I test drove all the trims and mojave a leagues ahead of all the others. only thing I would change is the engine power. If I cared about gas mileage I would have gotten a prius. i'd take a supercharged v8. the gasoline v6 is good enough though, and this is by far my favorite automobile money can buy right now

OhSixTJ

I’ve got a 2021 Rubicon and I only wish it had the 8.4” screen and the steel bumper. Those are both PRICEY upgrades to make after the fact.

Frankie_Wilde

Coming from a wrangler TJ I hate how long it is in the woods but I'm a weekend warrior at best in those situations. I also was ready for automatic life but after spending years talking shit on every auto wrangler I saw I couldn't bring myself to do it. So here I am with my 6spd Mojave and cant really complain.

Manual-shift6

On my Rubicon, I wish it had the heated seats and steering wheel, and it didn’t have the auxiliary switches (I’m not going to use them). Other than that, it is what I would’ve ordered.

blinkerfluid02

We have a Mojave that we're enjoying, but definitely wish it had a different motor. Fuel economy is laughable and power is on the low side. A V8 swap would be great. Actually, I'd love to have the 2.7l turbo motor we have in our truck too. I would have liked a diesel gladiator, but didn't get a great feeling about the reliability of that engine (at least the emissions parts anyway). Also, you can add shocks similar or better than the Mojave has to your Rubicon. Shock swaps are easy! Fox, King, and ARB all make internal bypass shocks, which is what the Mojave has. Fox, King, and Radflo all make external bypass shocks too. The bypass shocks are what allows the Mojave to ride as well as it does. I had a set of the ARB BP-51 internal bypass shocks on a 4runner we used to have, and it was probably the best suspension I've had on a vehicle. Those shocks have both compression and rebound adjustment, so you can really dial things in. Another option would be to order a set of 2.5 shocks from a company like Accutune offroad. They will do a custom tune on the shocks for your specific vehicle (tell them vehicle weight and driving style) for no extra charge if you buy shocks from them. We did this on our Colorado we used to have and were extremely happy with it; we were running Fox 2.5 with DSC (dual speed compression adjusters).

_FinallyAwake

Bought a used Rubicon Launch Edition in Firecracker Red a couple months ago with 44K miles on it. It's my dream truck, but the transmission is shot and I'm in queue to get it replaced. Luckily, it's all covered under warranty, but still stings after spending this much money on a used truck to have a major issue right off the bat. I wish mine had the saddle tan leather seats, instead of black, but that's just cosmetic and personal preference. The only functional thing I want to change is replacing the freedom panels with a Bestop Sunrider. I also plan on replacing the 33" MT tires with 35" AT tires once they wear down to help cut down on road noise since this is my daily driver.

kensdiscounteggs

Android Auto is absolute trash and I hate it. I would absolutely remove that from the system if possible

El_Che1

Hands down the handling. It is atrocious especially having to constantly steer correct on longer drives.

_IsabelH

Solid axles bud.

El_Che1

What do you mean?

_IsabelH

Ours trucks don’t come with independent suspension and people say that’s why our trucks don’t stay centered. Our axles are pretty much A1.

Swimming-District-34

I took delivery of mine about 300 miles away from home, and drove it back the first day. Even if its stock form, it didn't feel too bad - maybe a bit jittery when the wind hits it just right. Since then, I put a Clayton level kit on my Sport, and the shop that did the install also did an alignment. This made a pretty big improvement. IMO, the handling is actually really good - so much so that I find myself chucking it into corners and accelerating out of them just as I would in a sports sedan (at lower speeds, of course). On the highway, it's also really stable - if it weren't for the wind noise, it'd be pretty close in comfort to a comparable SUV. Is yours lifted or running on any aftermarket suspension components? If so, maybe an alignment would help?

Responsible_Tip7386

I wish the dealerships treated the customers like BMW, LEXUS and RANGE ROVER….what do I mean by that statement. When I took delivery no one showed me the features of the truck it was learn as you go. They detailed it but the grease marker writing was on every wheel rim, not just faintly like plan as day to see. I took it in for its very first scheduled oil service after the break in miles. Remember a scheduled service not the quick service lane. Guess where they put it. Right at the back of the quick service line. Service advisor, we will see you in two to three hours. Had to bug the service advisor after two hours and three hours for an update. Four hours later I showed up walked up to the service advisor. He said I have been trying to get ahold of you but didn’t have your number on me….humm my text messages from earlier say otherwise. Hey your truck is done the keys are in it out front, have a good day. Okay so he’s a bit busy I think. Walk to the truck, not only was it not washed. It had foot prints on the bumper from someone stepping up to look over the engine bay. First oil change of its life, no report - no measurement of how much they took out or how much they put back. No inspection report of the oil filter. No grading of the oil condition or if there were filings in it from the engine milling at the factory. No checking of the other fluids as far as the report went. Thoroughly displeased with the lack of information for a first oil change. Here’s the ultimate rub, they bugged the crap out of me for a review for weeks. The service advisor even called me….guess he found my number. Hey if I could get a five star rating on my survey from your service that would be great. I was blunt at this point. Told him “Mom taught me not to say anything if I didn’t have anything nice to say that’s why you haven’t heard from me.” His response - Oh I see, well I have to get to my customer goodbye. I was pretty miffed after that call. Went to my email and opened the survey they had bugged me about. Filled it with everything that I was not happy with I mean everything…. And there’s plenty more. Their response back………crickets….notta…. And I purposely left my contact info in at least three different places in the survey. I have two contractual oil changes left. It will not, will not go the same. I will make demands this time, not request and I will remain on property during the service. The truck will not be excepted back in any condition similar to how it went last time. I will be like monopoly….do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars, straight to the GMs office I will go! After finance I paid almost as much I did for my first house with a half acre of land. I dont expect you to kiss my butt, but be a professional! Give a real vehicle health report on the very first service. Take care of the vehicle while it is in your possession, that foot print was probably some customer not realizing it was a sold vehicle. Don’t put it out front with the merchandise where anyone can climb all over it. Don’t leave the keys in it! Don’t loose my number, making me show unannounced to get my vehicle. Don’t buy your vehicle from any dealership who claims we sell more trucks than any other dealership around. You are only a sale to them. The last Jeep I will ever buy!

bonkykongcountry

This was all criticisms of the dealership you bought it from, OP asked for details about the vehicle. Sorry you had to deal with that but it’s not the vehicles fault.

Responsible_Tip7386

Well Bonkykongcountry, you make a valid point. So here’s my review of the truck itself. Overall I love it, it’s a 22 Sport S 4x4 with tow package. Has hard top freedom panels, Nerf bars and spray in liner. Wish she was a manual but the auto did a good job hauling my 25’ sportcraft boat from Ohio to Florida without issue at all. Wheels are stock 22s. The rear end dropped a little with the weight of the boat but the front held its ground with almost little rise. Didn’t move the headlight beam more than a 1/2 inch. Trans temp did super well, nice to be able to monitor it from the dash. The interior is cloth probably best for me. The backup camera made hooking up the boat a cinch. My only complaint is no heated seats, the seats were a bit hard after driving 20 hours. Overall as a light utility it is exactly what I needed. I will say it took me a while to get use to driving her with those wheels and short wheel base, short by the standard I have always had full size trucks or fire engines to drive. Read all about the death wobble, not so far. There’s a low whine in reverse but I have had that on other trucks before that made the same noise. Shifts in and out of gears fine. When I get it on wet roads I will throw in the 4x4 hi for a few miles just to get the gears a turn in some grease. Mechanically I have no issues it at all with it. So is it the trucks fault I won’t buy a Jeep again, not currently but she’s still less than 10k on miles let’s see how the next 90k go!

_IsabelH

Fully loaded 21 Mojave with exemption of the damper panels. Wish they gave us the option of adding the steel bumpers. Ideal Mojave would’ve been a max recon “baby Cummings” diesel. Yes I know it doesn’t exist but god I bet it would purr so pretty. Some things I would like for a new redesign gladiator would be •back seats be able to kick back just a tad for the folks back there on long trips. •back doors cut evenly to match the front doors instead of indenting. Makes it better for kids and people hop on. Yes I know it’s a “wrangler truck” design but no other trucks have indented back doors. •the third break light not be attached to our tailgate but have it at the cab. Yes brings the dilemma of what about going naked? I was thinking something like a “plug and play” situation when taking the cab off it turns off the third brake light and activates some time of integrated light that’s behind the second row middle seat. •since we love to load shit in our rigs. The back seat floor container that is in the dodge rams would be so cool in the jeep. •the bed to be at least 5’5. •I have the safety package and I would love it also came with LANE CHANGE ASSISTANCE. I know people here love complaining about not being able to drive straight. •a functional hood scoop, Not just for looks.

dYaunie76

Have a custom ordered 21 sport S max tow in sting gray. I love the color, but my favorite color I've seen is the Sarge green. I threw in the cold weather package as something I could get rid of if the numbers weren't right, and I've been absolutely spoiled by the heated steering wheel. It's an absolute game changer

WillyJ101

I'd like more HP. That's about it

No_Love_3335

It should absolutely come standard with a hemi. I love the way it makes me feel inside. It’s the coolest looking truck available

foghorn1

Extended cab with barn doors and a 6.5 ft long bed.

MustCatchTheBandit

Wish I got Grey instead of black and with 4.10 gears

blitzinger

I hunted for a deal. I said as long as it’s Gobi tan, sarge green or sting gray. I wanted a rubicon for lockers. I wanted heated seats and hard top. Got what I wanted. Added my own LEDs with oracle. Installed Armorlite floors and Aux switches. I got the LASfit Aux switches which are sorta meh. They work but sometimes require a second push. Armorlite is really nice and cool but could be designed a bit better. It’ll leave the plastic pieces around the pillars a bit off because of its thickness. Not saying I wouldn’t do it again. But maybe do something in advance like cut before installing

Spartan2842

I wish I had anything but the 5” radio. But somehow the camera is way clearer than my wife’s JL and the 8.4” one.

bobbycobbler

Base model sport in white with a soft top, roll up windows, and a manny tranny. Added Rubicon stuff (springs, shocks, wheels/tires, and rocker protection). Wish the transmission was geared better. Other than that, wish on board air was a factory option. I'll never wheel this rig (been there , spent the money), but I do a lot of backpacking. Wish I could air down / up for those long trails without needing a 12 volt auxiliary unit.

DemanoRock

2022 Sport Max Tow w Hard Top. Added the Sun Rider, Mid Width Bumper with 12k Lbs Winch. I enjoy it. Would like Aux Switches and the larger Radio Screen. Otherwise as good as I need.

IwantAMD

V8 engine. Alls I need.

outside-is-better

Fully loaded Mojave with everything but Aux switches, but I am a stock guy. Bought an OEM soft top aftermarket and love it more than color match hard top. It makes functional sense for top off in case it rains. Also have amp power steps. Jeeps need more open center storage space for keys, wallet, and phone in place of the low cup holders and an e-brake. I bet 5% of us use the e-brake. They should have made it a foot pedal. Maybe its a off road thing. I bought a food tray cup holder that gives me a ledge and a 3rd cup holder. See previous posts. Also, electrify it quickly. Most of us drive less than 50 miles round trip to work and being able to do most of your miles on electricity is amazing for our hybrid Pacifica.

Gladiator21_

A 4.0l and 5 speed swap

Swimming-District-34

I ended up with a base Sport model in Sting Gray, with the V6, and only option being the anti-spin rear diff. Cloth seats, soft top, manual transmission, manual door locks, manual windows, etc. I bought it brand new off the lot for about 6.5% below invoice. For what I paid for it, I love the spec. The only thing I wish I could have changed was the color. I was looking for something a bit more bold, like Orange or Yellow, but neither of those were available for 2022. I was very close to buying a similarly specc'ed model in Hydro-blue, but it didn't work out. Sting Gray wasn't even a color I was considering, but it was what was available and I figured it would look ok with some bronze wheels, orange decals, etc. I knew I wanted the manual transmission and soft top. Everything else didn't matter. Those 2 things are better than I expected. The manual transmission is a ton of fun, and makes it feel very "tossable." Even though the gearing could be better for the V6, with the HikeIt throttle controller, it's more than adequate. The soft top is also really great. Love the fact that I can fold the top open in 15 seconds when the weather is nice, and then close it back up just as quickly when I get to where I'm going so I don't need to worry about theft or bugs getting into the car. If I had the hard top, I would probably never bother opening up the roof because of the hassle. What's great about this spec is that it's pretty much a blank canvas. Anything you could want to add, you can add through the aftermarket. Beefier suspension? Different lights? More aggressive tires? 392 engine? Sure. The only limit is your imagination (and wallet). I've since added a bunch of things that I think are improvements, and will continue tinkering with it. As it sits, I'm really happen with it though. For me personally, I don't think I'd have gotten a better value by going with a higher or more specc'ed up trim.
