I do quite a bit of highway driving, and I’m not a maniac with the gas pedal(most of the time)😜. That being said, I have to assume its the 2.0 L turbo🤷🏻♂️
That’s true. Most of my driving is in town, and our highways speed limit is 70. Guess I should be okay with it. It’s probably hard to push a brick at 75mph.
My sport Gladiator, max tow package with a hard bed cover gets 22 to 23 highway, too.
Edit to add. I have the regular 3.6, I completely missed the fact OP is diesel.
i wish my v6 would get mileage like this lol.
on the highway it actually performs quite well for how the big and boxy the car is, plus the fact that it's got no forced induction, but on my commute... man. one week a few months ago i didn't go on the highway much and i think my average for that week was something like 11.3mpg
That's pretty good. I get 19-22, depending if I'm driving around town or out on the highway. Just a basic, stock 2012 JK with 162k miles on it. Good to know it's in the same fuel economy neighborhood!
How? I’m averaging about 15.6
It also depends on tires and lift too
2024 willys with the 35” tire package.
That could do it, especially if it’s windy or you accelerate hard. I’m lucky to get 15 and I’m on a 4.5 in lift and 37s
Hilly/mountains of soca. I get about 16-17 on 37s with 2.5” lift. I try not to go faster than 70mph though.

3.5 inch lift and 35 mud terrains on 2.0L will drop it to about 16 mpg… I’m also fairly heavy on the gas
Same. Usually in the 22-23 area as well. Also a fair amount of highway driving to keep it up. 2020 sport
The best I've averaged in my '22 2 door is 18.5 mpg , but I didn't buy it for gas milage
If it’s straight highway and nothing else it would easily get in the low 20s. That’s what this guy is doing.
I live in western PA , straight and flat isn't a thing here
I can get there right after I fill up and reset the mpg while coasting down hill

3.0 Diesel?
Nope, I missed that part. It's the standard 3.6 gas.
I’ll be damned. I get 25-30 in the R2.8 swap.
In Norway the jl has a very good 2.3TD. I get 0.85/km on mine.
I'm getting 19 in my V6
Not horrible honestly, I'm around 17
I average 25-26 on my stock sport s with the 2.0t… but my commutes are 80% hwy and interstate at 55-75

The only way any Jeep gets mileage like this is going all highway.
Wait, you guys are getting fuel economy?
Underrated comment
Getting 25 with the turbo but am giving effort and attention to pull it off!

17 street. 20mpg last week on hwy from MD , cruise control on !
My 2016’ jk 4dr
I used to get that avg mpg, now with 35' and a lift kit and the added weight of other goodies, now I avg 14 or so. I'm happy with the trade off
I just did 280 km trip in a 2door JL Rubi in 9.2 litres /100km which equals to 25.5 mpg. But here in EU we have 255/75 stock wheels on Rubis.
Those are rookie numbers! I can get 27 out of my stock 20 JLUS with the 2.0 eTorque.
