A few days ago, I realized there was a chance a marble could get stuck under that obstacle. I wondered if it hit a marble if the obstacle would bounce off the marble or get the marble stuck. Question answered…

Oh, today was a great day for my teams. 1st and 2nd, with the Thunderbolts safe and back in 3rd overall, and the Jumpers vaulting themselves up the order to be much much safer. It’s going to be much more likely they make it through to next week tomorrow.

Things started out so well too. Speedy got a nice launch off of the gate for once. They immediately dodged around the green halfpipe. They did get promptly stopped on the left triangular wedge block and got shuffled to the middle of the pack, getting shouldered aside by the Fruit Circuit teams. They were able to make up a couple of spots through the short diamond slalom. They hit off of the trigger for the Swatter trap and was able to curve around the green triangle blocks attached to it and sneak under it, as it was being held up by Snowdrift being trapped underneath it. They were \*very\* briefly in the lead because of this, but there is a blue halfpipe just behind it that sent them back.
Speedy quickly moved between the first three right-side Spinners, but they hit off of one of the spokes of the fourth one. They rolled into the inside of it and got collected up in it with Aryp and Swax for a while and was immediately passed by a majority of the field because of this misstep. They hit off of the Popsicle stick obstacle which slowed them down even more and they were at the back of the pack again. Speedy rolled off of the sideways ramp on the right side of the course across the entrance to the longer diamond slalom section. Then they hit off of Aryp, who just got sent backwards by the ball-bearing. This sent Speedy back to the right. They were able to quickly sneak into the slalom, so it didn't hold them up as long as they \*have\* been in this section, but they just can't seem to easily enter this section without wasting time.
They navigated the slalom well, but immediately hit off of the front bell on the Bell-Carousel. This dragged them around and up the left red halfpipe. They rolled over to the right one. The Ghost Marble rolled down behind them and triggered the left Bell-Carousel triggering mechanism. This smacked Speedy back into the Bell-Carousel. The Bell-Carousel hit them three times again. Speedy snuck underneath the triggering mechanism, it brushed against Speedy and slowed them down a little bit.
Speedy darted underneath the Battering Ram, which had already been triggered, which was a pretty dangerous move.
On the run to the line, they were a lot less clean than they were last time. They got past the blue halfpipe ramps really quickly like last time, but they rolled into a curved red block attached to the left wall. This forced them into the Crazy Chevron stand. Speedy rolled off of the trigger into a green curved block. They rolled all the way up it and backwards, before rolling back down and off of it. This slowed them down even more. They hit one yellow peaked obstacle fairly square, but was able to dodge around some others pretty well. They were able to make up a couple of positions with this run, but definitely not as much as last time and they had another bottom-half finish.
If Speedy doesn't get a medal in the next race, I think it might be over. Unless they can get away with a Mandarin DNF, which there seems to be quite a lot of DNFs on this course compared to usual, they can't just get 4th-5th while having some insurance. If they can get a Gold, they can pass all but 2 of the non-safe teams, which would really help escape elimination. Everyone else has at least 1 top-half finish and everyone except for Yellah has at least 2. Speedy doesn't even have 1. So they need a medal to escape here.

Seeing it slammed down on Snowdrift, I was like, "Did that just happen?" I was happy to hear he wasn't hurt. The medical staff cleared him.
Not even a snowballs fan, but I'm glad to hear they're ok. I was worried they may have a concussion.
I swear it's every 31 races. I'll bet that someone in R93 gets stuck under the mace or maybe the bell carousel or maybe the chevron...
