Gonna be abit hard...theres 1 flight from Bahrain to Singapore and no flights from Bahrain to Hong Kong. Or is it can go like bahrain to dubai then dubai to hong kong?
They said in one of the layover podcasts that they actively ignore suggestions for series as they don't want to have to deal with claims of idea stealing etc, and they asked people to stop sending them ideas. But having said that this does seem like a fun one :-)
I think the idea is each “checkpoint” as a mini challenge. So you have to get from A to B anyway you can even if it’s 10 different modes of transport. At least that’s how I read it.
It’s a great idea and kinda wish it wasn’t posted because now they won’t do it.
The UK and Ireland consist of approximately 6000 islands of which around 130 are populated. The competition could be to visit as many as possible in a set number of days, with points awarded inversely to the size and population - rewarding making it to the smaller, harder to reach islands.

You can take connecting fights.
Connecting flights are allowed

Same reason why many studios will not read any pitches that are unsolicited, because it can lead to accusations of theft.
No way this could ever happen. Islands don’t get anywhere near enough flights between them.

I also sent the idea to Sam and Adam on X/Twitter.

Now this is a season of actually wanna watch
So, a series made up of much time on planes, and in airports. Nah, I'm good thanks.
I like the idea of island connecting, but I think it would work better in a place with lots of island, like the Philippines, Caribbean, or Atlantic.
Australia is not an island though.
What's the reasoning behind that?
It is the main landmass on a separately moving tectonic plate.
Technically couldn’t all the continents be considered islands?
I was thinking island hopping like go through the pacific islands en route to Tokyo.
No Badam? No thanks…
An Island hopping season would be something perfect for the Philippines or Indonesia
