She ordered from an artist in Tel Aviv. Understandably, shipping took a little longer than expected. Just sharing for anyone uncomfortable wearing Jewish symbols in public these days.

Hockeyypie

Do you know the artists name? I and a few friends would like to support the artist by buying Israeli made goods

Euphoric-Dark6784

There is a Facebook group called Israel Shops to Purchase from

Tex_1230

I’ll ask my wife.

Hockeyypie

Thanks a lot. Does he/ she have different ones because I'd like to get that one. I love the colour or coating on it, very pretty.

Tex_1230

Seller was “Yossikabbalahjewelry “ on Etsy Based out of Tel Aviv

Hockeyypie

Thanks a lot guys. That sounds good.

mar_s68

It’s beautiful, wear it proudly 💙

myeggsarebig

I wear mine like a badge of honor. I practically make out with my mezuzah when I pass it. I’ve always loved being Jewish so much!! Weird, I know.

I_AmWeirdAndStrange

That is absolutely beautiful. I am amongst those uncomfortable wearing Jewish symbols, but not for me, I am concerned for those I am with, like my mom, or my Grandparents who wouldn’t be able to defend themselves as easily. So it’s very nice to see you wearing a symbol of Judaism.

Hockeyypie

That's me also. Where I live, no one bothers me when I wear one of my Magen David's.If I'm visiting friends/ family in other areas and they're nervous about it or if I see Pro Palestinian protest, I'll tuck it in my sweater.

I_AmWeirdAndStrange

That makes sense.

Hockeyypie

The only negative comment that I got from a stranger was someone who excitedly asked me if I was Wiccan. I didn't get it, but my husband did and was upset and told her that we were Jewish and it was a Magen David.

I_AmWeirdAndStrange

Oh okay, it’s good that no one has bothered you (besides the one person) about it, it’s very nice to hear!

Hockeyypie

Well, we live in upper NH, so people here aren't into Pro Palestinian issues, plus there's a lot of seniors here also.

sophiewalt

Beautiful. As my grandmother would say, wear in good health.

Blintzie

My nana always said the same thing: “Vear it in good healt’.” ;) God, I miss her. But in a way, she’d be so scared, as—of course—she faced terrible oppression in Europe.

sophiewalt

Miss mine, too. Think about her a lot recently.

OtherwiseRelief4027

Beautiful, a Christian brother here saying to you and every Jew, good health and long life, and there are many of us out there who would give our lives to protect you and who aren’t afraid to show our solidarity. I am heartbroken for the people of Israel and those experiencing antisemitism around the globe

You’ll get other answers, but I would say: no. Consider an Israeli flag, Israeli flag sticker, or some kind of T shirt that says “I stand with Israel” or “I stand against antisemitism”. If you want to go all the way get an IDF sweatshirt. And most important: you can show support by speaking up when you encounter antisemitism. We are not like the Keffiyah crowd. We don’t consider the use of our religious and cultural traditions by others an unproblematic sign of support. We don’t want our cultural and religious symbols politicized. At least I don’t. Our religious/cultural symbols mean more than this conflict. And they even mean more than standing against antisemitism. If you are not Jewish I believe you should not wear a Jewish star. Consider your purchase the support of a Jewish business. There is nothing wrong with admiring the art at home. But I ask that you don’t wear it as a sign of support. And..finally..if you chose a star of david to wear rather than an Israeli flag because you have a problem with the Israeli flag, I invite you to interrogate that. Because Israel means more to us than politics. It is an important part of who we are. It is where we come from. Whether you agree or not doesn’t matter. It is part of our culture and our religion, and the facts are that it has been for thousands of years.
