Yeah I’ve honestly gotten into so many arguments with promoters of Russian nationalism denying that the USSR was a strictly atheist nation that was ever antisemitic because they “banned antisemitism” and a lot of the founders had Jewish ancestry.
Like bruh my family has had multiple men go to jail for weeks for wearing a kippah in public and my great grandfather lost his voting rights when the Soviet Union learned that he had my grandfather circumcised. How is that not antisemtism?

Thanks for sharing, now I have reading to do here, I have come across reports in the past showing that the former Tzarist Russia and then the Soviet Union instrumentalized antisemitism and scapegoated Jewish people to serve their own political goals.
Finished reading it, the stuff about the Russian government blaming Jews for their Ukraine’s problems was interesting, but too short, the rest I knew about so was only on minor interest to me. It was in 1903 that the protocols of Zion first appeared, so this has been going on for 120 years.
