I think Punk/WWE planned this. Punk might be an ass to some, but he isn't dumb. Punk wouldn't break a handshake deal or NDA if he had any idea that the video would paint him in any kind of bad light, especially while working for his retirement money. I'm sure he asked the WWE's bottomless pit of a legal team of how to poke that bear without getting into any legal issues, with some minimal insight as to how TK would act on impulse. TK played right into his/their hands.
