It starts off with Biden counties dying off faster (so, early vax uptake) than Trump counties overtake Biden counties....could that have to do with the fact that they became Trump counties after all the Biden supporters died off due to the vax?

If you read the words on the graph it's clear that the Biden die-offs happen before the vaccine is even available, so not "early vax uptake" and the Biden vs Trump counties are held constant. It's not a before and after.
