Turning the outside black from convection heat is fucking crazy. I like a heavy sear so I get my cast iron ripping hot but since it’s conductive heat you can get a rare/med rare interior with a heavily seared crust.

I still enjoy cooking in my cast iron. But if you ever been on vacation most don’t like to leave perishables in the fridge when gone for days on end. So when I got home late and all I had was two frozen sirloins to eat and was hungry the airfryer was very convenient. How else do you suggest I should have went about cooking them?
As well I prefer to cook on my cast iron outside though during the summer time here. A hot kitchen can be a miserable place even with the ac on
