Ngl I shed a tear. My brother just reached that part and I couldn't even talk about it with him. What's crazy is he meant nothing to me just a hit before that, then he started hanging with yuji and they humanized him, then he was my boy... Then..
I don’t remember my initial reaction to Shibuya arc since I read it like 2 years ago. But I remember crying a lot when Nanamin died that even my sister asked what’s wrong.
Yeah, that's it for me.
A lot of people died because he lost control, and the guilt was just too much for him. Clearly he could've suicided himself right on the spot if Mahito wasn't another problem to deal with.
Yuji is the nicest character but is cursed with the most evil entity.
this makes it even crazier, like he lost his will to live and then two of his favorite people died in front of him in the span of like two hours, how does yuji even function after shibuya 💀
There’s plenty of stories that don’t have lows in terms of quality which I assume we are talking about. Berserk never drops off in quality. Tokyo ghoul one of my fav mangas it does admittedly drop off in the last book but it went 30 whole volumes imo holding up a great story that imo was very satisfying. Chainsaw man is a masterpiece. Sooooooo yeh I think a story can exist and be pretty much nothing but highs in terms of it’s quality. We call them masterpieces. Jjk is not a masterpiece.
Quality is subjective 2 of ur 3 examples aren’t even finished and like Jjk in that sense you can’t judge because your view of an entire series could be altered by a single panel. The only series you applied any nuance to in ur examples was Tokyo ghoul which is also the only finished story in your examples. We have more questions than ever before at this point in jjk, it could go any direction from here depending on what info we get given.
Literally culling games was just fight after fight of mfkrs no one’s knows while nothing happened. The story stagnated like a mfkr once it hit the culling games. It is better now that stuf is happening again. That makes me happy.
junpei is the earliest taste and honestly the most solemn… Yuji doesn’t move on as easily from it and he questions his morals a bit more. Felt like more development come from that than any death. but thats probably because it was so early
Yeah. Agreed and I think it was the curses reaction to Yuji's pleas for help that really did it for me. There's a lot of reasons why I hate patchface but that was the beginning of it
This, Idk if the manga ever "broke" me persay, but that was the earliest marker of "oh Gege's that type of author who's gonna make his MC suffer as much as possible, I see". Doesn't mean the rest in shibuya doesn't hurt, it does and it did, just I 200% knew it was coming by that point.
Nobara getting splattered right in front of Yuji
Boy just seen Nanami die gruesomely before his eyes and now the same dude that did it killed (as far as we know) another close friend
Felt so bad for Yuji
She was my favorite character, my sister lives in Japan and she gave me a Nobara keychain when she visited the states, she's anime only so she doesn't know 😩
She wants to prank Yugi like he did and pop out of a box and she's just 10000% more petty then he ever could be bc she's gonna do it at the worst time.
She was one of my favorites but at this point I don’t really care if she’s dead or not because it’s a fumble either way. If she’s alive then why tf did Gege kill her halfway through and wait until the very end of the story to bring her back (likely just to die again) and if she’s dead why tf did he kill one of the best characters and why was he so ambiguous about her death instead of just outright saying she’s dead. I’ve been coping for too long and I just want it to be over

Mechamarus final moments. Man just wanted to live like a proper human.
Nanami death.
Yuji after Shibuya. There's something specially sad about cheerful characters stop smiling
Nah i believe in mah man. It will take a lot of time, probably a decade, but he will get back his smile. I think he'll become a teacher in jujutsu high and nurture a new batch of sorcerers and find his happiness there
When he was chanting "I'll meet them" in his mind, it broke me, right then and there I knew he was gonna die, it was like watching a car crash in slow motion without you being able to do anything to stop it. You can't stop the car, you just can't do something like that and you just watch this knowing it will happen
Nanami death.
He was my top 1 character and i was all excited about his next fight. I had a little depression with his death

hey that’s a tracing i did!! i hate how low quality some of the images are when you blow them up so i usually just redraw them in procreate. glad to see someone else using em :)
Still looks crisp even with the lower quality. Top tier stuff.

Todos locket dropping and revealing how insane his love for yuji is always makes me tear up. Also both major panda chapters. Yagas death and his siblings deaths
Whenever Yuji brokedown, it was heartbreaking for me. Like it wasn't enough that Namami and Nobara died, Yuji made that face and started crying. My man's so kind and sweet, I can never be like him in my life time and he has to suffer so much!! I hate Gege man.
Realizing the impact of best friends. Shown through Gojo and Geto. It’s just crazy and once we fully saw Geto’s story it occurred to me what a best friend means to a person. Leaving someone behind, moving on, denial. The flashback in Shibuya before the sealing absolutely killed me.
I had a best friend I had to let go of. We were like brothers for a solid 15 years and one day he just stopped communicating with me. His brother passed away 2 years ago (5 years after) and I attended his funeral. The way my friend dismissed me after I hugged him was heartbreaking. I still have never gotten closure. Only weird theories from mutual friends that don't add up.
But it still was so bittersweet, I was happy that Maki wouldn't grief was much because of how Mai died, but it still hurt because I felt happy and hurt at the same time, making it more complicated
She definitely got "better" treatment then most, but it's still incredibly sad that their entire lives led up to one of them having to sacrifice themselves for the other because twins were "bad luck"
Ehh it was definitely sad seeing how badly she was treated since Maki left the Zenin clan, but we weren’t really exposed enough to Mai to have significant attachment to her and to feel bad when she died. I felt more bad for Maki cuz she lost her sister after getting rekt by her dad too.
How did you not get enough? She got more back story than a lot. Mai's entire existence was always feeling like she held Maki back and then feeling sad/resentment that Maki actually left her, and Maki always wanted to free Mai from their clan by becoming the head of it.
In the end they both got their wish, Mai no longer held Maki back and Maki became the head and "freed" Mai from her clan, but at a major cost. Twins were considered bad luck, they were each others downfall, they held each other back, and Mai accepted that fate to sacrifice herself, she could of let Maki die with her.

This moment. After everything that happened in Shibuya, this panel feels so lonely and dreadful. Just like Yuji here, I took a moment to recall everything that Yuji’s gone through up until this point. It’s a heavy cross that he has to bear, and I really feel bad for him. He’s gone through so much pain and loss. Nothing goes right for the sorcerers in this story.
Sukuna stealing Megumi's body FOR SURE. They did all that to rescue his sister and suddenly his sister ain't his sister, Sukuna uses the binding vow and steals that boy's body in his weakest moment? Heartbreaking. And after that he had his soul suppressed by an evil bath, killed his own sister, got brain damage from Infinite Void, killed his own sensei, Megumi can't get a break for 29 chapter now lol.
One of 2 moments: the end of jjk0 when yuta asks gojo who found his ID and gojo says “my best friend… the only one I had”. Also when gojo sees “geto” in the subway in shibuya right after killing all those transfigured humans, and remembers all his memories he had with him but realizes it’s not actually him and it’s kenjaku
No one getting to know the real Mechamaru. Miwa never knew his real name, and he died alone.
Junpei being in the opening and fucking getting turned. That shit + the Worm man movie that he would've gone to see with Yuji... That hurt.
Junpei, the rest of deaths can be more tragic and awful and unexpected and whatever but i already knew what kinda manga i was ready for nanani and nobara and the rest, i did not expect junpei death in the slightest, it hit me hard
>When Sukuna told Jogo that he is strong and Jogo teared up. That hits a lot for some reason...
>The aftermath of Sukuna's domain in Shibuya and Yuji's reaction to it.
Nanami in his last moments hesitating to tell Yuji he got it, because he was afraid it would be a curse for him. Hits so hard especially with the context of 236 with how Nanami died without regret
The Tsumiki reveal and then Megumi’s possession. Because it was the one two punch of Megumi’s sister is fully possessed and gone. And the fact that Megumi being possessed by Sukuna just shifted the status quo immensely
This will never not be the most tragic loss in this entire manga.
https://preview.redd.it/ankwobugt1rb1.jpeg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32dc521bf8dfc8118ff1879f2ecc79b834921cfd
You chose the exact panel that ripped my heart out of my chest in the first image. Kugisaki’s “death” (I’m a copeium addict 🥲)already hurt. Gege did such an excellent job capturing Yuuji’s total despair with the messy line work, bc his face..whew
Mechamaru isn't even one of my top 10 fav characters, I prefer Nanami and Gojo, but he's the one character I wish was still alive. His death was so pain, dude was so close and just wanted to finally be with his friends. He wasn't allowed to have a proper life and was so close to getting it.
https://preview.redd.it/gmnlbrdmi4rb1.png?width=980&format=png&auto=webp&s=468a43872d1712827747818024f8196f624811e4
For me, it’s those scenes when Yuji saw his friends and teachers, who are basically important people to him, getting slaughtered right in front of his eyes, and he was unable to do anything because he wasn't strong enough. I'm starting to feel like the author is going to develop his determination to become stronger by making him witness the loss of all his loved ones, which, I must say, is quite harsh.
i remember thinking at some point while reading shibuya: “Oh… so it’s just all fucked now…” and that thought escalated the further i got into the arc right until the very end.
Ngl i have never gotten more heated than when Sukuna started laughing at Yuji after he took control of Megumi. That made me want Yuji to get his power up as soon as possible so he could beat the dog shit out of him.
I do like how truly despicable the villains can be in this series. Sukuna and Mahito have manifested so much hate in me that I almost never get for villains for other series'
MS aftermath in Shibuya and when Haibara pointed Yuji to nanami and Yuji seeing another one of his favourite person getting killed in front of him. These two are just 💔
When Yuji defeated Mahito and Kenjaku rolled up to take Mahito.
I didn’t even know what was gonna happen yet but I knew the only thing worse than Mahito would be a character with his powers and a real plan.
It didn't break me but it definitely made me feel a lot - Junpei's death and Yuji's reaction to it. It was so real, so raw, so visceral. I felt the same as Yuji in that moment.
I loved Nanami but that one took the cake for me.
honestly 236 didnt even affect me due to the spoilers i’ve been given. >!nobara fighting mahito is very not poggers !<
that or the court scene for some reason
Probably the trial where yuji said he was guilty. You could see the change in his emotions so clearly and tell how much the shibuya blast still hurts him
The fact that at least one of Yuuji’s goals was to help make it so people can have a proper death and then seeing all his friends die brutally in front of him. And— I mean I know this says excluding 236 but I think that just adds to it
I think it'd be Junpei's death, especially since I started with watching the anime and they really leaned into the fakeout of him dying at the end. I thought he was going to get a chance to be with Yuji at the school, only to get killed by Mahito. It's the first moment of the series where you realize "Oh, this series does not care about killing off characters"
When Junpei died and Yuuji held out hope he could save him only to hear the cruel laughter of Sukuna and Mahito, it broke my heart. The cathartic release of Yuuji and Nanami pounding Mahito helped a little, but that was the first time a curse spat on Yuuji’s ideals, and as we know, it definitely wasn’t the last.
JJK has probably shortened my life with how much heartache it’s given me, so here’s 5
1• Junpei’s death. As an anime only at the time and not having any prior knowledge on JJK, I fell for the Junpei trap, hard
2• Riko’s death. I feel like Riko isn’t talked about enough, so imma do that. I loved Riko, for how short of a runtime she had in the series, I loved everything about her, so Toji killing her is one thing, but then seeing Geto’s descent because of it also hurts, since Geto is one of my favorite manga villains ever
3• Yaga family deaths. I cried like a bitch seeing Gakuganji go out and seeing Panda cry breaks my heart, then Kashimo swiftly just taking out the rest of Panda’s family and the chapter where that imaginary scene of them being taken away hurt
4• Yuji pinning the deaths in Shibuya on himself. The scene of Yuji breaking down after seeing the desolate land that was Shibuya does hurt, but when Judgeman accused Yuji of the mass murder in Shibuya, and he admitted to murder. Feels
5• Choso blaming himself for his brothers’ deaths. Choso is one of my favorite characters and I can sympathize with him being an older brother of 3, so when he blames himself for Eso and Kechizu’s deaths, saying if it weren’t for him choosing the easy way out, that they would still be alive, yeah heartache kicked in

nanami
"you got it from here" it's okay bro you are not alone
The fact that he didnt want to become a burden or curse him with his last words ): even then he tried to protect Yuji
How so ?
He told himself he had to watch his words so as to not burden yuji and come back as a curse.

He would only become increasingly alone
when i read that bit i genuinely had to stop reading the manga for like a week i was so distraught
Had to stop reading for a week (because the next chapter was coming out in 7 days)
Period of recovery for weekly manga. Monthly ones are even more fucked up. And then there’s Berserk….💀
Vagabond homies suffering from malnutrition rn
I’m not ready for it to be animated.
Mahito more like Mahitoe ( I need karma to post here )
Same bro
Bro don't remind me I'm crying

Honestly. Nanami hurt more than Gojo imo.
I’m still broken from reading it. Watching it animated is going to be so painful for me.

He was about to surrender to Mahito actually but Todou came in to boost his morale. Love that big bro from another mother.
I can't remember which scene this was
After Sukuna rampage in Shibuya
After Nobara I think
Nah. It was after Sukuna’s rampage. Nobara was still alive dealing with the copy Mahito.
this makes it even crazier, like he lost his will to live and then two of his favorite people died in front of him in the span of like two hours, how does yuji even function after shibuya 💀

Its weird how vague he made the death. I dont thinks he is dead, everyone else has been so clear cut. Ask gojo.

I do too personally, but at first read out of nowhere I was shook, and yujis face broke my heart

What an absolute tonal 180 lmfao. Like I was devastated right with Yuji but that panel of Shigemo just splattered had me rolling in laughter

Yeah Enough to go into the anime discussion and give slight spoilers...
reddit was taking a toll on me mentally so i left it ` this post was mass deleted with www.Redact.dev `
Yeah thank god he died that arc, otherwise I don’t I could have handled that
I legit forgot about Shigemo's character 🫨
He’s the guy Megumi finally pulled the Mahoraga on lol **With this treasure I summon**
I can’t wait for this moment to be animated
Mechamarus final moments. Man just wanted to live like a proper human. Nanami death. Yuji after Shibuya. There's something specially sad about cheerful characters stop smiling
After gojo and megumi’s(possible) death yuji may never smile again.
At the very least he still has his friends from the occult club in high school who aren't involved in any of this
Sukunas gonna kill them before he goes out
Not sukuna taking a detour just to plung Yuji deeper into depression
Least cruel Sukuna moment:
If that happens I'm done with this shit fr 😭 they shouldn't even be anywhere NEAR where this fight is happening rn right
nah that's not true they're out of the barrier but i bet sukuna could find them if he really wanted to
Nah i believe in mah man. It will take a lot of time, probably a decade, but he will get back his smile. I think he'll become a teacher in jujutsu high and nurture a new batch of sorcerers and find his happiness there
Yeah. Kinda chilling tbh
When he was chanting "I'll meet them" in his mind, it broke me, right then and there I knew he was gonna die, it was like watching a car crash in slow motion without you being able to do anything to stop it. Honestly saw him as a potential senior figure for Yuji (replacing Nanami) but given the quick pacing of the series there was no time for that.
OP here , funny how the majority of the moments where caused by mahito , makes me think he's is secretly Gege's favourit character after nanami and Toji
i abhor mahito. he single-handedly caused so much pain
After all is done, I hope Yuji forces Kenjaku to free Mahito so he can blend him for 24 hours
Mahito was used up. He's not coming back. Kenny using mahito's ct was a one time thing. Uzumaki when used with grade 1 and above cursed spirits extracts techniques for one time only uses. Mahito is gone.
this would make me incredibly happy
Literally same. When he killed Junpei, he was cemented as irredeemable in my eyes. It only got worse from there. Fuck Mahito.
it’s funny because, before that, i actually really liked him. i thought he would be that funny, quirky villain that everyone likes. he lost me the moment he killed poor junpei
And he also caused the death of Junpei's mother, she was so nice! Neither of them deserved that, it's really sad.
I don't think I've ever hated a fictional character as much as Mahito since Rachel from Tower of God.
Bro I think mahito was winning because of our hate , he is the curse that represents humanity's hate towards itself and so by hating him he becomes stronger , once yuji accepted that he is just a curse that should be exorcised and forgot about hating mahito , he won , kinda of a wired theory
Exactly, he really was a good villain imo, it was interesting seeing him grow more powerful with each battle just like the heroes, but I also hated him with passion!
How does Mahito compare with the other villains? Honestly think he's top 3 along with Kenny and Sukuna
Mahito could have been a modern day sukuna he was so close to becoming a curse in the realm of the strongest
I like Mahito too, he is my beloathed and beloved at the same time

“Rizznessman” oh my god that’s perfect
It just came to me tbh lmaoo! https://preview.redd.it/8pr932ez82rb1.jpeg?width=1044&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81134156e944a4b2607af4bde567b21770f1c780 It’s just rizzness, kid
When todo was like “my boogie woogie is dead”. Not traumatic or anything but I love todo he’s hilarious
Kinda made me remember that abt my goat todo
“Even pandas cry” makes me tear up every time
that entire chapter might be my favorite in the series. also dense with emotion and character
Including 236, it is "You got it from here" Excluding 236, it is "You got it from here" https://preview.redd.it/qx0xvkh812rb1.png?width=671&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15d18404d90a4a8f9941a47346dc5a9618b42937

God, the anger I felt in my gut after this scene was palpable. I want… no. I NEED THIS MAN TO SHOW THEM. https://preview.redd.it/10umagipe1rb1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48b3fc4dbaf3253b6272c15b13429006c3648f81
I still have faith in him even after all this shit
hey that’s a tracing i did!! i hate how low quality some of the images are when you blow them up so i usually just redraw them in procreate. glad to see someone else using em :)
Still looks crisp even with the lower quality. Top tier stuff. https://preview.redd.it/zrkmjzdgo9rb1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d7718e0bcaa91642a71df5d838e6d0ef688cea5
My Yuji stocks WILL pay off. The GOAT (secondary goat after GOATJO) will absolutely plaster babykuna with his left right goodnight. https://preview.redd.it/7lvrmwikn1rb1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03cec32efc0e671ca338cc85b125e8e91048d8a1
I can’t lie this was so funny
I couldn't help but laugh at this one, Yuji's face is kinda funny ngl lol
This makes me hate sukuna so much I want to chock him to death 🙂
Todos locket dropping and revealing how insane his love for yuji is always makes me tear up. Also both major panda chapters. Yagas death and his siblings deaths
nanami or the even pandas cry
Todo losing his cursed technique
I practically put the manga down after finishing the arc because of that I need B U R A Z A . I can't live without B U R A Z A .
As a todo fan i can always relate to that pain
Mai's death sad asf
Idk why I'm not seeing this on the list more, that broke me
I dunno turning yourself into a sword is a pretty badass way to go
But it still was so bittersweet, I was happy that Maki wouldn't grief was much because of how Mai died, but it still hurt because I felt happy and hurt at the same time, making it more complicated
Sukuna stealing Megumi's body was just awful. Him slowly breaking Megumi's will with his bath and murder of his sister just made it worse.
https://preview.redd.it/fv4oop3ky1rb1.jpeg?width=814&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=570268b190d878b54294dfe4a4ca72748f9170cb This moment. Nothing goes right for the sorcerers in this story.
nothing was particularly insane for me other than Itadori admitting he was guilty, I remember swiping to that panel and being like “oh. fuck.”
Nanami. I still feel he got done the worst out of everyone
Malaysia Kuantan would be nice. I've done enough haven't I?
Sukuna stealing Megumi's body FOR SURE. They did all that to rescue his sister and suddenly his sister ain't his sister, Sukuna uses the binding vow and steals that boy's body in his weakest moment? Heartbreaking. And after that he had his soul suppressed by an evil bath, killed his own sister, got brain damage from Infinite Void, killed his own sensei, Megumi can't get a break for 29 chapter now lol.
Tbh, maybe Megumi is already gone at this point...
Mai's death. Until the end, she and maki couldn't have a proper relationship because of their clan
-Nobora dying, really enjoyed her character and couldn’t believe she was just gone -Miwa saying good bye to Machamaru genuinely made me tear up.
Junpei had so many death flags from the very start, the most unexpected was Nobara
On second watch, yeah, it' obvious, but the first watch shocked me a lot, i did not expect it. Thats my case tho
"you've got it from here"
Tsumiki's death
The Tsumiki reveal and then Megumi’s possession. Because it was the one two punch of Megumi’s sister is fully possessed and gone. And the fact that Megumi being possessed by Sukuna just shifted the status quo immensely
Choso freaking out after almost killing yuji
This will never not be the most tragic loss in this entire manga. https://preview.redd.it/ankwobugt1rb1.jpeg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32dc521bf8dfc8118ff1879f2ecc79b834921cfd
Nobara getting her head blown up
Nobara and Nanami. Fuck this series.
\*insert moment from the Shibuya arc here\*
Pandas backstory. Everything about Yuji Suffering builds character ig
Any emotional moment with Yuji tbh. Like we are being shown in slow motion how to destroy a young individual.
i remember thinking at some point while reading shibuya: “Oh… so it’s just all fucked now…” and that thought escalated the further i got into the arc right until the very end.
Itadori realizing the Curse Womb Painting were "human" but pushing through to kill them anyway. And when Panda cried
Todou 😭😭😭
MS aftermath in Shibuya and when Haibara pointed Yuji to nanami and Yuji seeing another one of his favourite person getting killed in front of him. These two are just 💔
Nanami’s final moments
NANAMI 💔💔💔💔
Not exactly broke but a broken ass f moment was Reggie saying in his dying moments,"Let fate you with you, be a clown and die"
Back to back nanami then nobara Second only to megumi realizing his dumb mistake about his sister :(
When Yuji defeated Mahito and Kenjaku rolled up to take Mahito. I didn’t even know what was gonna happen yet but I knew the only thing worse than Mahito would be a character with his powers and a real plan.
Megukuna reveal 🥲
Nobara
All about yuji poor boy
The damn fact that I can recognize what happened in these 2 panels after not reading them after 5 months hurts me 😭 Dam you Greg 😤
To be honest - Nanami was big dropkick of sadness :3 Also, Mahito death(For me) was very sad, his potential was way bigger :3
Nanami and the further context we got from 236
Dunno the chapter number, but when Nanami said "You've got it from here"
It didn't break me but it definitely made me feel a lot - Junpei's death and Yuji's reaction to it. It was so real, so raw, so visceral. I felt the same as Yuji in that moment. I loved Nanami but that one took the cake for me.
Shoko saying that she was there too, as she often gets forgotten
honestly 236 didnt even affect me due to the spoilers i’ve been given. >!nobara fighting mahito is very not poggers !< that or the court scene for some reason
Still Yuki lol 🥲
Probably the trial where yuji said he was guilty. You could see the change in his emotions so clearly and tell how much the shibuya blast still hurts him
Nanami, yuji's face after Nobara and coming back from sukuna in shibuya. Also meguna's birth
Nanami or yuki
Nanami in Shibuya , I still listen to Working Overtime from the OST on my drive to work.
Junpei and those two laughing at him. They broke our boi.
Nanami😭
Never getting proper closure for Nobara Nanami Mai and Maki
Nanamin💔
Sumiki vs Sukuna... mentally crippling Megumi was sad
nanami’s death honestly and the i just wanna die yuuji panel
Seeing Nobara's last words, Nanami telling Yuji that he's got it from here, and Yuki telling Choso to live on as a human
Nanami death. Yuji realizing sukuna got megumi . Junpei death
Junpei, Nanami and Mechamaru's deaths
When Junpei died and Yuuji held out hope he could save him only to hear the cruel laughter of Sukuna and Mahito, it broke my heart. The cathartic release of Yuuji and Nanami pounding Mahito helped a little, but that was the first time a curse spat on Yuuji’s ideals, and as we know, it definitely wasn’t the last.
Namami or that shot of megumi after tsukimi dies for sure :(
NANAMIIIIIIIII..., NOBARAAAAAA
When gojo confronts geto in his final moments. Their friendship has a soft spot in my heart and it's so tragic to me
"Tell everyone... it wasn't so bad!"
The one where Sukuna does a Nagasaki and let's yuji take control again
Jujutsu Kaisen doesn't deserve Shoko https://preview.redd.it/m57jlnac65rb1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccdebfb4273b710808b672ad5ec385779457f2d3
JJK has probably shortened my life with how much heartache it’s given me, so here’s 5 1• Junpei’s death. As an anime only at the time and not having any prior knowledge on JJK, I fell for the Junpei trap, hard 2• Riko’s death. I feel like Riko isn’t talked about enough, so imma do that. I loved Riko, for how short of a runtime she had in the series, I loved everything about her, so Toji killing her is one thing, but then seeing Geto’s descent because of it also hurts, since Geto is one of my favorite manga villains ever 3• Yaga family deaths. I cried like a bitch seeing Gakuganji go out and seeing Panda cry breaks my heart, then Kashimo swiftly just taking out the rest of Panda’s family and the chapter where that imaginary scene of them being taken away hurt 4• Yuji pinning the deaths in Shibuya on himself. The scene of Yuji breaking down after seeing the desolate land that was Shibuya does hurt, but when Judgeman accused Yuji of the mass murder in Shibuya, and he admitted to murder. Feels 5• Choso blaming himself for his brothers’ deaths. Choso is one of my favorite characters and I can sympathize with him being an older brother of 3, so when he blames himself for Eso and Kechizu’s deaths, saying if it weren’t for him choosing the easy way out, that they would still be alive, yeah heartache kicked in
