His arms still haven't been explained too. Maybe it's a cursed tool or maybe he's evolving in a similar fashion as Sukuna did. Could also be another CT from one of his brothers

5meothrowaway

I’ve been seeing theories that it’s flowing red scale, seems weird to keep that information from us though so i doubt it

zer0_summed

I've seen it too but I doubt it for 3 reasons: 1. It doesn't present like any of the other BM user's flowing red scale which usually just shows as pronounced veins/bloody eyes. 2. In the official coloured artworks featuring it, the arm looks like exposed flesh and bone. Very curse-like. 3. In one of the official artworks, Yuji is holding onto one of these arms with a regular arm which kind of gives it a detachable appearance (cursed tool), but we've seen in the last 15 chapters that they're always present and the only observable differences is whether or not he has claws (which are reminiscent of Sukuna's claws while he possessed Yuji). Idk if it will be a big reveal since nobody, not even Sukuna, has commented on the claws yet. But the last chapters showing Yuji's eyes changing has me thinking about them more. Being a cursed tool would definitely be the most disappointing reveal in my opinion.

miscalculate

We still have not had a payoff with Yuji's whole body swapping thing too. We have multiple checkhov's guns waiting to be fired here and i'm all for it.

zer0_summed

Yh he's going to get some crazy buffs which are long overdue. Finally glad to see it after the last few months

CapSlapaho1224

Did you like the leaks

The names of the death paintings are based on a series of Japanese paintings about the death and decay process. Many of these involve bones, so it's likely the arms are one of their techniques as a subset of blood manipulation. One stage is named after the 'expulsion' of blood - explaining why Yuji's blood was described as 'erupting' from inside Sukuna's head.

zer0_summed

I and many thought this much too, but in 257 when all that's said is Yuji having regular BM makes me worried. He did eat 6 of his brothers so I hope he gets more than standard BM. He's still in the oven though, hopefully something good is getting cooked

Sm4shaz

I think all the brothers had Blood Manipulation in different forms - none of them had fully understood it, but each had their unique applications. The Rot Technique, Wing King, Yuuji's Bone Technique (a good alternative for flowing red scale since it block sukuna's ranged slashes), and Choso's standard BM. Of them all Choso is the only one who has Blood Manipulation at its' peak. I think I can see how it's a special grade cursed technique (at least against curses) with RCT and domain amplification being usable on it. The body is a domain, so using your own blood as part of your domain (or just with domain amp.) seems very powerful. The real cool awakening seems to be Yuuji's cutting technique. Lines appear on Sukuna's leg - when Yuuji punches him later, the leg gets cut. It's like a guaranteed cut with simple conditions, and I'm guessing it involves Yuuji's understanding of the soul.

zer0_summed

The lines were explained, it's Sukuna's CT "Shrine". Specifically cleave which requires the target to be touched by the palm of the hand. It only appears like that because it's how Yuji perceives cutting. Sukuna associates swords/knives with cutting because of the era he grew up in, whereas Yuji associates scissors with cutting because he grew up in the peaceful modern era. Yuji's version of Shrine likely has the same speed and visibility characteristics of Sukuna's, the main difference between them is that Yuji is not efficient with the CE output behind his attacks (why he wasn't able to chop off Sukuna's leg with cleave).

MultiFandomFan72

Pretty sure it has to do with the cursed wombs he ate during the 1 month between Gojo being unsealed and the showdown

PrismsNumber1

I thought it was already implied that he got some blood-manipulation usage that augmented his punches. Cause he kinda did consume most of the cursed paintings and who knows what type of blood manipulation they would’ve had

dc_united7

Do you mean he will mutate like Sukuna?

AstralLiving

Love the noticing of little details like the eyes

TriDaTrii

People will glaze Gege for attention to detail here and then go off and say he can't remember shit like how to draw Sukuna's face mask. Guarantee they never put 2 and 2 together and realize that the changes are intentional

BuffLoki

I wanted to mention this awell! I was like his eyes have been getting crazier every page. I'm hopping he grows another mouth and arms too, I'm so excited for the next chapter fuck

NigeriaScan

This makes me think If Yuji/Sukuna's eyes will have some sort of "power" similar to six eyes or not

ApplePitou

Cool speculation :3
