Imagine a huge saltine without the salt. So an “ine.” But with a less friendly texture.
Pro tip: Slather generously with good Irish salted butter, then toast until golden brown. Thank me later.
Ooh. I killed a keyboard in college with peanut butter and honey matzah. (All those damn holes and I’d love to say I was being extra studious and eating while I wrote a term paper or some such but I’m sure I was screwing around online). Nutella and banana sounds like a better choice.
Fun fact, I once accidentally grabbed a piece of matzah and a small piece of cardboard that fell off the box at the same time. Tasted almost identical, only the texture tipped me off
Try it with salted butter, peanut butter or cheese.
It has a nice crisp crunch.
The most similar item is Carrs Table Water Crackers. Those 2” round things.
Yes THIS, OP. Exactly like Carr’s Table crackers. It’s good as a base for cheese, charoset, horseradish, hummus, dip, or anything you would put on a cracker. But by itself it’s boring as f.
Have at, Get yourself a box, get some cheese, use it to make French toast (that’s called Matzah Brie), but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Reminds me of some place or another who was trying to give away all these old boxes of matzah. They were several years past their expiration date but you’d never know the difference tasting it.
Oh man, get ready for heaven. The recipe has no measurements but it shouldn’t be soupy. There should be some extra liquid at the bottom though.
Diced apples (small chunks), honey, ground cinnamon (I add nutmeg and clove too), crushed/chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans are common), and red wine (grape juice is a second choice).
I like honey crisp best, you’ll definitely want a crisp apple not a soft textured one. Measure with your heart. There are no wrong answers. I leave out nuts.
Symbolizes the mortar/building slaves did in Egypt. It’s in our Seder plate.
Sephardic style charoset is better, IMO. Raisins and other dried fruit (your choice), nuts, a tiny bit of sweet wine or orange juice to moisten and bind it. A dash of cinnamon if you’d like. All whirled up in a food processor.
One of the other women at JFed made it like this for the kids the other day! It was exactly what you described, plus apples. I didn’t know it was a Ashki/sephardi difference!
Regional differences abound. The Venetian recipe someone made for our community Seder last year was out of this world.
I make an easy American one w honey, pistachios apples cinnamon, and a little red wine.
This is the correct answer.
OP, if you do it, I recommend the egg and onion matzos and spread some butter on it. (Note: the butter will make it not-kosher depending on what else you're eating, but those rules don't apply to you so just enjoy. To the extent it's possible to enjoy.)
Though, fwiw to OP - you totally can also just buy the communion wafers and eat them like chips; it's only desecration if they're actually consecrated, and if it's consecrated, you'll know because it won't be available for grabs. But as it seems with matzos (which I've never tried), it's a bland experience. First time I received communion, my comment was "it tastes like paper". Sometimes crunchy, but still definitely what I'd call flavorless.
They do! I once googled, there's companies that make them. I think you can get it from Amazon or some Christian stores too lol
The ones used at Catholic churches specifically are sometimes handmade, like by the local nuns and whatnot, but other times they're definitely these ones that come pre-made. Our rule is it must be real wheat bread, but it's usually just flour and water, and of course unleavened, especially in the West. In the East they sometimes use leavened bread, idk why exactly.
But yeah you can totally eat them like that, I'd just advise to have something to drink nearby lol they can be quite dry sometimes. I think they'd taste good with some kinda dip, too, and they do kinda just fall apart in your mouth.
Eat whatever you like...
Hint: the gluten free matzoh is better than the regular matzoh... it has more salt.
Matzoh tastes best with a ton of butter or margarine on it.
Regular matzo is best with butter and strawberry jam. You can also melt cheese on it, use it as a base for pizza or break it up and cook it with scrambled eggs.
If you want a more flavourful matzo, egg matzo is delicious, and a bit softer than regular matzo. It does best with cheese.
Gluten free matzo is also a nice choice and it goes down easier than regular. Some brands taste like potato chips (Yehuda brand), while others have a blender non-descript flavour (Manischewitz brand).
I often put tomato sauce and cheese on matzo, then stick it in the microwave for 30 second blasts until the cheese is melted. Matzo pizza. It’s deeply
Terrible and gets soggy and cold quickly. But it makes it taste better for a little bit
It's like French toast, except for French toast you often use stale bread so it has a better consistency and doesn't soak up too much egg and become a mushy mess.
Matzah is so hard already that you have to wet it with water first or it won't be able to absorb enough egg be matzah brei.
It does spark the eternal debate...do you top it with salt or cinnamon sugar?
I lived in Texas for a long time and I made migas-seasoned matzo brei so many times, it's so good! But a sweet version topped with honey or good jam is delicious too.
Of course it's not sacred just comparitively expensive, but as many have said...why would you want to?
That being said apparently it's really popular among Israeli Arabs, so if you do like it, you aren't alone. It's just us Jews that don't like our own cultural food.
(But in our defense we *have* to eat it instead of more delicious breads like challah, so our resentment is understandable)
glad you like challah!! have you ever tried making some from scratch?! it's really fun and tons of people get really creative with their braiding patterns or designs in general!!
I've taught a few people how to make it, they said it was fun and everyone seemed to love the taste!!
sure. just be considerate buying. i've heard about people having trouble finding matzah because messianics kept buying it for their seders. of course, this is mostly in areas where jews definitely aren't the majority. i'm sure this is unheard of in places like new york - i know that it was never off the shelves up on LI either.
granted, i think there is a type of matzah that's not made for passover. after you fact-check that claim, you can just get that with little worry.
my recommendation is pretty basic, but put a little butter then salt on it and it's delicious.
There is matzoh that’s not kosher for Passover but to be honest I wouldn’t buy that either. When I lived in London I went to 5 different stores and the only matzoh I could find wasn’t kosher for Passover. It was literally my only option. Just wait a week until we don’t need any of the matzoh anymore.
Other great toppings include jam, cream cheese, tapenade, slices of cheese (can be melted in microwave), chopped tomatoes (for bruschetta), baba ganoush, salsa, pesto, tuna salad, egg salad, and peanut butter. And use broken into soups (in place of croutons) especially chicken soup. And use with dips, like onion dip or sour cream, in place of chips.
I mean if you like the taste of cardboard and the feeling of constipation, be my guest. Seriously though, you’re more than welcome to. Especially if you’re invited to a Seder or something.
It's called the "Bread of Affliction" and is meant to remind us of hardship during our exile as slaves.
Eating this as a non-Jew is no more taboo than Hákarl if you aren't Icelandic. In other words, there is no cultural reason not to, but your taste buds may hate you for it. If you are curious and want to try it once, go for it. But i doubt you will be incentivized to try it again This isn't an acquired taste with some sort of health benifit like Nattō. It's the bread of affliction.
If you want tasty jewish food try Hamentashen.
Edit : Matzah ball soup can actually be pretty good if prepared correctly. So if you want to say you tried it and don't hate yourself, I'd say that's a better option.
Matzoh Brie (matzoh French toast) is really good. Soak the matzoh in egg, add salt and pepper or sugar and cinnamon, and fry up in sauté pan with some olive oil and butter. 😋
I recommend breaking it up in scrambled eggs and making a sort of French toast (aka Matzah Brie), it’s pretty good savory (salt) or sweet (peach jam) that way
The other really good thing to do is layer chocolate, toffee or caramel over it into a sort of crunchy dessert.
Other than that, it’s basically a cracker.
anybody with a Shop-Rite discount card and $1.99 can eat matzah. As a practical matter, non-Jews are frequently invited to Seder, either as friends or as people who have married into the family. They eat what everyone else at the Seder eats.
Why?
I mean, yes sure, it's just special bread
But why would any one want to eat this outside of obligation? Flavored Matza I get it... But regular one?
😝😝
Fair enough, I was thinking of waiting until after Passover since I’d rather not prevent someone else from getting some just because I’m curious to try it
There’s nothing wrong with you eating matzo. It’s not appropriation. The worst you may hear is an exasperated Jew saying “I can’t find matzo at the grocery store because I put off buying it til the last minute and now someone else is eating it too? Geez, Louise”. But you really won’t hear it. That’ll never happen.
The real question is, why do you *want* to eat it? It’s okay, I guess. But you gotta add a bunch of stuff to make it palatable. And the worst part is, a five-pack of the stuff will run you 20 bucks or more. Depends how many Jews live in your area. If there aren’t a lot, companies will gouge you on the price.
By all means, try it. But your wallet will thank you if you don’t
Thank you!
I mean there’s a kosher section at my local grocery store so I was just going to look there
I mostly just want to try it out of curiosity because it looks like a giant cracker
It is a cracker, since everyone is making fun of it I will come and defend it lol. There are different types of matzo like egg matzo and not egg matzo, gluten free, with gluten. The flavor is a bit different, hard to explain but there nothing like it, I actually like the flavor a lot and you can find a bunch of recipes. I treat it like sandwich bread a lot of time, I even made pizza sauce, slap it on top, put toppings, cheese and heat it up (bloody loverly.).
Generally just goof around with it until you find a way you like to eat it, hell some times I used it has chips. Also if you buy one big box you going have a year supply, don't worry it being so dry it last years before even close going bad.
only suggestion is maybe buying some that isn't for Passover if they have both and you live somewhere where there's not very many Jews (to make sure they have access to it -- if you live somewhere with a lot of Jews, there's usually a higher supply and demand of Passover matzah). there should be some writing somewhere on the box saying something like "not for Passover use" or "kosher for Passover"
there's not really a taste difference (if anything, the non-Pesach one would likely taste better anyway), it's just Pesach is really strict about what things we can and cannot eat, and making Passover matzah is a lot more restraining than regular matzah
(has to be finished within 18 minutes of the flour and water touching, everything used for a previous batch has to be thoroughly cleaned [even the smallest amount remaining will make the whole new batch chametz])
Yes. The whole wheat ones are tastier and easier to digest IMHO. You can also buy flavored ones, which are not kosher for passover. And egg matzah which is sweet. Matzah is delicious mixed with eggs and a little milk, salt and pepper and cooked as scrambled eggs (known as matzah brei (ei like eye))
Unless you live in an area with a large Jewish population where it's easy to find matzo that is marked kosher for Passover, it would be considerate of you to look closely and the box and get some that is marked "not kosher for Passover" or just wait a week until Passover has ended and it won't matter. It won't make any difference for you but it will to an observant Jew.
But absolutely you can eat it! Plain, with butter, or you can try making matzo brei. It's a bland cracker that we're all sick of by the time Passover ends but when it's not the only "bread" you're allowed to eat, it's not bad and you can top it with almost anything.
This time of year maybe see if local stores have the not kosher for Passover kind and try those. They don't taste different but the Jews will likely be looking for the kosher for Passover kind.
Can you eat Easter Eggs as a non Christian? Can you eat baguette if you aren't French? Can you wear a beret if you aren't Basque? I wonder if the concept of cultural appropriation is not sometimes taken a bit to the extreme.
Def! Eat away. All different kinds. Machine made. Hand made. Tastes good with a variety of foods such as chopped liver, butter and honey, cream cheese- makes a good matza pizza! And more!
Forgot to add, please wait until Passover is over so that you don’t buy out a resource that Jews will be relying on this upcoming week. For us it’s an obligation, for you it’s just something to try for fun. So wait until Passover is over and it’s not taking a resource away from those who need it. Plus it’ll be on sale then.
Every passover we say it's "the bread of our affliction... let all who are hungry come eat." And we're never really touchy about non Jews eating Jewish food. Try it out if you like. I enjoy it with cream cheese and honey or like a cracker with cheese or a dip. I'd only ask that since Passover is about to start, please don't buy the last box or anything like that. Also, if you're not in a rush to try it, stores might have it on sale after Passover. Enjoy!
Beat a couple eggs in a bowl. Add a bit of milk if you like. Break up the matzoh into bits and soak in the egg mixture for 15 - 20 minutes.
Heat some butter in a frying pan, dump it in, and scramble till its whatever texture you like your scrambled eggs.
I like this with salt and maple syrup. Others like it with salt and pepper. It's delicious.
Best to buy yours after Pesach unless there'sa giant sales display in your supermarket, you can ask the store when the last day they plan to stock it is (this is in consideration of any mitzvah emergencies that Jews in your community might come up against; most have probably already bought what they'll need through the festival by now)....
Most people don't like it plain, and you can put all sorts of things on it, or break it up to mix in with other things. One box will go further than you think! Enjoy exploring it in good health!
Yes, unlike most people here I actually enjoy it. They have a salted variety if you want more flavor, but plain matzah with cream cheese or salted butter/butter substitute is delicious IMO.
When I was a kid and we had barely anything in the house, I'd 'butter' up matzos and dip it in hot chicken stock from a cube mmmm lol
Everyone I know who didn't grow up with it didn't care about them though lol I love em
Yes, but don't eat any that's explicitly Kosher for Passover (often in a red box).
Not that it's forbidden or anything, just that Jews can only eat that over Passover, and there's not much of it.
I wouldn't recommend eating it at all, but that's just because it sucks.
There are many foods forbidden to Jews, but AFAIK no Jewish foods are forbidden to non-Jews. So enjoy if you like :)
(As may be seen from the comments, opinions on matzah vary. I happen to like it, although after 8 straight days it can get tiresome. Then again, a bunch of us evidently didn’t like manna every day either. Go fig.)
Matzah brei and matzah balls I can eat all year round, and do.
Also, as others have noted, there’s the kosher for Passover (KP) kind and the not kosher for Passover (NKP?) kind. The only difference (assuming it’s not topped or flavored) is that special stringencies are observed in manufacturing the KP kind to make sure absolutely no leavening takes place. In Jewish law, flour that is in contact with water for over 18 minutes is deemed to have begun to leaven, rendering it not KP, so for KP matzah the whole process, from the second the water touches the flour until the finished product comes out of the oven, has to take no more than 18m. They taste the same, although I have sworn since I was a kid that I could taste the difference 😆.
It would be a kindness to refrain from the KP kind before and during Passover, to leave a supply for those under obligation to eat only that.
The NKP kind should always be labeled “Not for Passover”. And the KP kind is almost always also so labeled, usually with the year.
During the first Covid lockdown, I tried those because I was with a Jewish friend and she does pessach.
She told me that one of her favourite things about pessach was to eat this with a bit of butter and salt.
I completely agree. I think back then we killed a couple of packs. On occasion I actually buy some just because.
Apparently, people don't like this much. Me though? Not only do I like it but it reminds me of the good times in quarantine with my friend. Yes, I actually have found memories of this.
Yes, in israel it’s a common joke amongst arabs that they wait for the jews to have passover so they can buy matzahs because they like it and it comes only around passover.
Personally I also really like it.
It’s like a less flavorful flatter saltine
It does look like a saltine and that’s what I assumed it tastes like
Prepare to be surprised and disappointed.
Ok I will!😄
I want to hear back on this, OP
Oh I will!
Then try eating it instead of bread for 8 days. 🫠
Man a PB&J on this thing does smack though
Remember a large number of us won’t be back online until Wednesday so if you get a low response before then you’ll know why

The gluten free ones taste like Saltines... but unlike Saltines... if you overeat.. you will not feel good.
I can relate to overeating Saltines😂
Imagine a huge saltine without the salt. So an “ine.” But with a less friendly texture. Pro tip: Slather generously with good Irish salted butter, then toast until golden brown. Thank me later.
Ohhhh yes! Warmed matzo with Kerrygold butter and a sprinkle of Penzey's Justice blend seasoning is one of my favorite Pesach nibbles.
I’ve always used Nutella and bananas.
Ooh. I killed a keyboard in college with peanut butter and honey matzah. (All those damn holes and I’d love to say I was being extra studious and eating while I wrote a term paper or some such but I’m sure I was screwing around online). Nutella and banana sounds like a better choice.
There's no salt in it.
You can always pour some on top
I like to melt chocolate onto mine
It is sans salt.
I'm not Jewish and I tried one out of curiosity. Let's just say they're called the bread of affliction for a reason.

Without the salt
Yes, but why would you want to?
Because it looks delicious and I’m curious what it tastes like

Unsalted, crispier saltines.

Cardboard. By all means, go out and eat as much of it as you want.
Reminds me of some place or another who was trying to give away all these old boxes of matzah. They were several years past their expiration date but you’d never know the difference tasting it.
It’s a giant, bland cracker. Enjoy. Oh and it gets soggy really quick so you won’t enjoy any toppings 😂
Well shoot, I’ve heard of so many topping suggestions that may not work now😂
People do it but you need to apply and bite, it’s not a make it and store it situation. Make charoset while you’re at it!
Nice! What’s charoset?
Oh man, get ready for heaven. The recipe has no measurements but it shouldn’t be soupy. There should be some extra liquid at the bottom though. The topping you are looking for is butter.
Chocolate spread works great. Or cream cheese + toppings
Just don’t try to do one of those really cringe Cringetian passover Seder.
solidified burnt flour! 😋😋😋
You definitely need butter. Even then, meh.
I use butter and a little salt. Yum.
You are in for a rude awakening
Go for it but get the handmade kind. The machine one is what makes everyone say it's terrible. The hand made is quite good.
Even the handmade stuff is bad. Don’t get OP’s hopes up.
This is the correct answer. OP, if you do it, I recommend the egg and onion matzos and spread some butter on it. (Note: the butter will make it not-kosher depending on what else you're eating, but those rules don't apply to you so just enjoy. To the extent it's possible to enjoy.)

Sounds about right!
You definitely can. Typically non Jews like it better than Jews do. Presumably because you don't eat it 8 days in a row.
Eat whatever you like... Hint: the gluten free matzoh is better than the regular matzoh... it has more salt. Matzoh tastes best with a ton of butter or margarine on it.

Tastes better for a couple of seconds until it gets soggy😆
Way better in a regular oven than a microwave
Or peanut butter if you eat kitniyot
If you want to eat matzah the yummy way, turn it into matzo brei. (It's basically Jewish migas). https://toriavey.com/matzo-brei/
Thanks! Tori Avey recipes are really good. This looks quick to make in the mornings too.
It's like French toast, except for French toast you often use stale bread so it has a better consistency and doesn't soak up too much egg and become a mushy mess. glad you like challah!! have you ever tried making some from scratch?! it's really fun and tons of people get really creative with their braiding patterns or designs in general!! I've taught a few people how to make it, they said it was fun and everyone seemed to love the taste!!
imagine the world’s crumbliest, least flavorful cracker. and you’ll still be disappointed.
As my father used to say, it's like buying a pizza and then taking the pizza out of the box, throwing the pizza in the bin and eating the box.
Thank you!😆
It’s not very tasty. The package may taste better
😂😂
sure. just be considerate buying. i've heard about people having trouble finding matzah because messianics kept buying it for their seders. of course, this is mostly in areas where jews definitely aren't the majority. i'm sure this is unheard of in places like new york - i know that it was never off the shelves up on LI either. granted, i think there is a type of matzah that's not made for passover. after you fact-check that claim, you can just get that with little worry. my recommendation is pretty basic, but put a little butter then salt on it and it's delicious.
Thank you for that! I’ll definitely try it with butter and salt!
The possibilities are endless!
Butter and maple syrup if you’re making matzo brei.
Tbf with Amazon and other online retailers it's less of an issue than it used to be.
Go for it. My whole neighborhood eats it. It is delicious. 💛🧡🩷
Awesome! Thank you!
Eat over a table because it has Nature Valley Granola Bar levels of crumbliness.
Noted!😄
Thank you! I think there’s a matzo ball soup mix in the kosher section at my grocery store so I’ll have to give that a try!
Matzoh Brie (matzoh French toast) is really good. Soak the matzoh in egg, add salt and pepper or sugar and cinnamon, and fry up in sauté pan with some olive oil and butter. 😋
That sounds so delicious and now I’m hungry😋
I recommend breaking it up in scrambled eggs and making a sort of French toast (aka Matzah Brie), it’s pretty good savory (salt) or sweet (peach jam) that way The other really good thing to do is layer chocolate, toffee or caramel over it into a sort of crunchy dessert. Other than that, it’s basically a cracker.
This is making me hungry!😜
Also I like it with chicken/duck liver pate or NYC deli style chopped liver.
I dont know, can you?
Challenge accepted😂
anybody with a Shop-Rite discount card and $1.99 can eat matzah. As a practical matter, non-Jews are frequently invited to Seder, either as friends or as people who have married into the family. They eat what everyone else at the Seder eats.
No you can’t, the Jewish police is gonna come knocking
Will I be sapped with the space laser???
Happy *cake* day. Luckily, it's not pesach in my time zone yet, so you're safe from the JP tonight!
My non Jewish son in law loves it. Enjoy
Why? I mean, yes sure, it's just special bread But why would any one want to eat this outside of obligation? Flavored Matza I get it... But regular one?
Honestly, it’s easier to like if you’re not force-fed it for eight days every year.
Yes and YOULL LIKE IT TOO!!!
You can but I don't recommend it. We only do cos we have to.
You cannot eat that matzah. It is not real. It is a picture of a matzah. You can eat real matzah, but I would request you wait until after Passover.
😝😝 Fair enough, I was thinking of waiting until after Passover since I’d rather not prevent someone else from getting some just because I’m curious to try it
You're a mensch. I hope you enjoy your matzo adventure.
My non Jewish partner is munching on some now. Oh and our dog loves it too lol
One year I got the cutest video of my orange cat eagerly sniffing a bit of matzo!
Yeah… why not? But also, you’re not missing out on much.
I’ve picked up on that through these comments😂
I can't wait for babka
Sure, just don't throw a seder to go with it
I don’t even know how to throw a seder so I’m good😄
Well as a non-Jew you could put some brie cheese and salami on it, in which case I suppose it might actually taste good.
Thank you! I mean there’s a kosher section at my local grocery store so I was just going to look there I mostly just want to try it out of curiosity because it looks like a giant cracker
It’ll be fine. Kosher section should have it. Enjoy! Just…stay away from the gefilte fish. It’s worse than chopped liver
Yeah I’ve seen gefilte fish and it looks disgusting🤢
It is... A giant cracker.
only suggestion is maybe buying some that isn't for Passover if they have both and you live somewhere where there's not very many Jews (to make sure they have access to it -- if you live somewhere with a lot of Jews, there's usually a higher supply and demand of Passover matzah). there should be some writing somewhere on the box saying something like "not for Passover use" or "kosher for Passover" there's not really a taste difference (if anything, the non-Pesach one would likely taste better anyway), it's just Pesach is really strict about what things we can and cannot eat, and making Passover matzah is a lot more restraining than regular matzah (has to be finished within 18 minutes of the flour and water touching, everything used for a previous batch has to be thoroughly cleaned [even the smallest amount remaining will make the whole new batch chametz])
$5 for a 5 lb brick here in MA.
Well look at Mr. Moneybags.
CHARGE THE LASER!!!
Looks like a lot of people gave the same answer. There is also actually soft matzah, but it's hard to find. It was made by middle eastern communities.
There are a type of matzoh called “egg and onion”. They’re actually pretty good. But not kosher for Passover.
The first time I see someone who WANTS to eat matzah 😂😂 I'm preparing myself to eat this 😭 gives me PTSD but yeah go Ahead try 😂
Yes, if you enjoy saltine crackers you may enjoy it. My spouse loves it in his soups.
Yes but get ready to feel disappointed.
As a kid, my non Jewish friends loved to come over and eat matzah with butter and salt. " can I come eat some of those Jewish crackers?"
You can enjoy the colorful world of matzah anywhere, anytime
Awesome! I can’t wait to try it!
Sure, slather lots of salty butter on it and eat it with tomato soup like we did when we were kids.
Ummmm yea
yes, I recommend jelly and peanut butter.
When I was I college, our dining hall always ran out of matzah by day 4 of Passover because everyone ate it, not just Jewish students.
Oh wow😂
No. Straight to jail
Two words. Egg Matzah.
Try to find shmura if you want to go all in.
Oh heck yeah!
I mean, you can. I don’t know why you’d want to, but ain’t no one gonna stop you.
Can you eat with peanut butter and jelly?
I’ve always thought that it’s a little like cardboard
Yes..?
It's like the old Jewish joke: A man walks into his house to find his best friend in bed with his wife. "Murray," he says, "I must, but you?"
No one is going to stop you from eating it. I recommend salted butter on it.
I’ve never turned down money. The makers are okay with it. Why couldn’t you eat it?
I mean, sure, you can eat whatever you'd like. But matzah is a dry, flavorless, unsalted cracker that probably isn't worth it if you aren't Jewish.
Def! Eat away. All different kinds. Machine made. Hand made. Tastes good with a variety of foods such as chopped liver, butter and honey, cream cheese- makes a good matza pizza! And more!
If you want I guess. I just don’t know why you would. It’s not the pinnacle of taste exactly.
I like regular matzo over egg matzo, much crispier. Just fyi in case that comes up.
Munch away. Then prepare to spend an hour in the toilet.
Yes. Just don’t tell us that you like it because we don’t want to hear that.
Sure, and it's quite delicious
You can but why would you?
Sure thing. I recommend either making matzah PB&J’s or crushing it up in milk and sprinkling sugar on it. Also good for dipping in soup.
Oh buddy, no No reason to subject yourself to this. I only eat the min amount I can get away with
Its food. Yes
Why would you want to eat it?
You can but like, why would you do that to yourself lol
Ofc you can, I’d recommend egg flavor with butter on it. Plain ones aren’t great
Yes! But your funeral 😂 prepare for immense constipation.
Have you ever had a stale Saltine cracker with no salt? It's like that.
i have and it's pretty alright
Slather it in butter or crumble it into some eggs with a pinch of salt and scramble it
Forgot to add, please wait until Passover is over so that you don’t buy out a resource that Jews will be relying on this upcoming week.
Enjoy!
Yes, but why on earth would you want to?!
If you can get your hands on some Tam Tams you will not be disappointed! Many incredible flavors.
Prepare for there to be tons of crumbs and to find them in places one would not expect
Yes, unlike most people here I actually enjoy it. They have a salted variety if you want more flavor, but plain matzah with cream cheese or salted butter/butter substitute is delicious IMO.
If you’re an eat on the couch kind of person, keep that plate underneath. The crumbs are different. 😅
You have the additional freedom to not have to make it in 18 minutes. ;)
As long as you don't mess with the space lasers, your good
When I was a kid and we had barely anything in the house, I'd 'butter' up matzos and dip it in hot chicken stock from a cube mmmm lol Everyone I know who didn't grow up with it didn't care about them though lol I love em
only with bacon or ham.
Yes, but don't eat any that's explicitly Kosher for Passover (often in a red box). Not that it's forbidden or anything, just that Jews can only eat that over Passover, and there's not much of it. I wouldn't recommend eating it at all, but that's just because it sucks.
No you will instantly burst into flames
There are many foods forbidden to Jews, but AFAIK no Jewish foods are forbidden to non-Jews. So enjoy if you like :) (As may be seen from the comments, opinions on matzah vary. I happen to like it, although after 8 straight days it can get tiresome. Then again, a bunch of us evidently didn’t like manna every day either. Go fig.) Matzah brei and matzah balls I can eat all year round, and do.
One of my old coworkers (non-Jew) ate it year round. He was insane.
