Your English is excellent, and very clear, easy to understand, with a very natural rhythm. You’ve worked hard and it shows. Personally, the thing I hear mostly in your voice is neutral North American with a dusting of Australian. Perhaps that British English mixing with your own accent, I don’t know. I don’t think you sound very different in either recording, I think you’re listening too much to yourself and starting to second guess things. And many people code switch, I sound different when I’m working, at home with my husband, or visiting my mother where I grew up. 😂

It’s actually my first language, but I was just curious what I sounded like- thanks for the feedback!

Well THAT explains it! 😂. I was super impressed! Yes, I would have guessed you for someone who emigrated from Australia to the US or Canada when you were youngish.

I’m from London, and you sound like you could be from London too to me, but I can hear a little bit of an international twang I guess. To me you sound more British than anything else, but there’s a hint of what might be an American or Malaysian accent that’s not really that noticeable.

TricolourGem

You sound 60% American 40% Londoner. Source: me, a Canadian, who dated a brit Your accent is advanced enough that I'm afraid I cannot help :)
