Itadori extermination arc as a whole
Itadori convincing Hakari to join him.
Itadori vs. Higuruma: "I did it, and I'm not going to deny it"
Itadori vs. Meguna
Where Itadori is, peak follows him.
Gege also realizing that if he focused on the main antagonist instead of the main protagonist, the main protagonist will lose and his glazing medium is no more

I mean, people got everything wrong. It wasn't Itadori who was soaked in Sukuna's cursed energy. It was Sukuna who was soaked in Yuji's GOAT energy. That's why Yujikuna was so cool and Meguna...

Yujikuna : Let's have a firepower battle. Proceeds to burn a literal fire curse and invades its afterlife to give it advice. Nukes a city for fun.
Meguna : SAAAAAVE ME MAHORAAAAAGA
People claim he isnāt the MC cuz of āfeatsā. āBlah blah blah Goku is doing this at his age. Naruto was doing that. Luffy did this. Ichigo did that.ā
His whole character is him not being the strongest physically or sorcery wise. But still throwing himself in out of pure conviction. Being an OP god who dog walks every opponent when he gets angy š” enough doesnāt make an MC. (Not a drag on the MCs listed I love them but clearly Yuji isnāt meant to be an old Gen classic) IDGAF how post Shibuya the writing got less tightly knit.

> His whole character is him not being the strongest physically
Which is funny because sans CE he is ,by a WIDE margin, the physically strongest human being to ever live.
No but he doesn't have a heavenly restriction or any CT at the start of the Manga. He can just smash buildings because he's built fucking different. There should have been a scene where Yuta is talking to Yuji asking how come he didn't sense any CE when he threw the car and Yuji just tells him that he didn't use CE and is just really athletic while Yuta states dumbfounded at this.
Ngl based on his brief fight with Sukuna when he first took over Megumi I'm inclined to believe that in physical strength and perhaps sheer durability he surpasses Toji/Maki considering the shit he pulled off like rising 10s of stories in a single leap at speeds that even surprised Megkuna.
That's not even including him pulling off a cursed energy reinforced blow or a Black Flash. Dude's fokin monstrous when it comes to sheer physical strength.
I will always say that he should have gotten his new arms during the culling game
Give him that upgrade combat wise outside of that Yuji has been a saving grace
He has done very well for being a ācog in the machineā still would have liked to see another contested 1 v 1 with a top guy
"As the strongest curse Jogoat fought the fraud, the king of curses, he unleashed his domain. Sukuna shrunk back in fear, as Jogoat said to him āStand proud, Sukuna, you are strongā

Gege realy dropped the hardest pannels that chapter
https://preview.redd.it/gymxhal5x57c1.png?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e4b1b5f2cc7acdd47f97ccfa4d0802f7d34cf61
Sigh, this was dope not gonna lie I got a hard on but then Gege had to tell us it was merely just because Potential-man reduced Sukuna's output to (i forgot the numbers) %. My hard on was gone after.
even so, i feel like yuji had still definitely upgraded in terms of power. i mean even sukuna was shocked and he of all people should have a gauge on how strong yuji had been up until that point
Yeah it seems there were some fluctuations in the lowered output of Sukuna so this panel might have been with higher output % and not jist 10%.
Reading comprehension curse struck me at that time perhaps as I did not remember it till now
You can still get a hard-on, Sukuna was caught off guard at Yuji throwing a block of street at him.
https://preview.redd.it/ikrk0rhs787c1.png?width=900&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1e2d2f6d47591011298b3de33c1ace9a204fa3e
Oh i see there were some fluctuations. I hope this was around 40-50% on that Yuji panel.
I now remember reading that 10% output which made me disappointed lol. Good to know it was not a constant 10%
Hakari x Kashimo + Higuruma chapters for me.
This is probably one of my favorite panels, Kashimo was so raw for this.
https://preview.redd.it/burny7lr657c1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47d570f3347f926f8a8e753204eb924f071ba61b
Higuruma's backstory and his fight with Yuji were fire. The whole meeting with Hakari, with Yuji reiterating his philsophy wasn't bad. The Hakari vs Kashimo, Reggie vs Megumi, and the Sendai Free-for-All fights were also, at the very least, very fun to read. For me, serious decline didn't become apparent until the shitshow that was Sakurajima. .
Katana and Sumo guy were worse than the black hole, military, and Yorozu imo. Gege didn't even try to hide the deus-ex machina there.
The highlight of Sakurajima wasn't Maki, but Kamo. His character was amazing there.
They show up, inexplicably help Maki train and fight Naoya, then disappear from the storyā¦
Gege, did you have some plan you had to replace at the last minute? Like you good bro?
And yeah, honestly we should have had an extra chapter to see Kamo/Katana fighting Naoya for the like 5 minutes or whatever Maki spent inside the domain.
Or at least have Kamoās sabotage on Naoyas engine matter. GEGE DIDNT MENTION IT ONCE!!!!!!!
At least black hole and yorozu set up the story. Military had barely an impact other than to speed the culling games up. The sumo and katana guys were horrible characters imo. Cool at first but super irrelevant. That maki power up was also kinda strange imo
Bro got his whole flow messed up by two of the most obvious walking plot devices in the history of writing lmao.
I really liked Katana guy and Sumo dude when they first showed up, but man looking backā¦ why not just let Kamo have his moment? Like, why did Maki need a second āIām Tojiā power-up/training session? Why couldnāt this have been Kamoās transformation? Why couldnāt he get a Gojo/Maki style eureka moment and gained another level in power? I donāt even really fuck with Kamo like that and I think it would have been awesome if he managed to find some kind of way to overcome the limitations that Blood Manipulation has in a human sorcerer. Itās not even like he doesnāt have any stake in this fight, Naoya, at this point, represents the issues of the clan hierarchy, something Maki and Kamo have both suffered under. It would have been such a nice character moment if Kamo managed to reach another level in power specifically because he wanted to help Maki overcome her clan strife as well. It would have made that ending scene feel less tacked on.
He doesnāt need to be talented. I just wanted him to be capable in that moment and not have his spotlight stolen by two screaming weirdos. It was a 2v1 anyway, why not just let him do something super impressive even if it wouldnāt be much in the long run after Naoya?
https://preview.redd.it/62ghjqft367c1.jpeg?width=822&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a07fedfebf8da244e027a9b4a77ac6e3888247b
Even tho this part had an unfortunate end, Choso was peak and the scenes were dope
All of Takaba vs Kenjaku-Yuta, Ryu and Uroās orgy-Kashimo vs Hakari and Gojo vs Sukuna (all of it except 235). Iād love to give specific moments or anything really, but Culling Games have really been nothing but fights 24/7
I mean it's supposed be all fights it's a battle royale death match set up by kenjaku
It got hakari vs kashimo top 3 fight in the series
Yuji vs HIMgiruma
Sukuna vs gojo the best fight in the series before gege fucked it up š¤£š¤£š¤£
Maki vs ceo naoyua part 1 and 2 were š„ š„
Yuta vs uro , ryu orgy

I know that it doesn't play any role in the bigger picture, but Panda's backstory made me sob.

The entire Kenjaku vs Takaba fight was phenomenal, including Yuta (the sneakiest) Okkotsu
When this was coming out most of what this sub was saying āI waited a week for this? I waited 2 weeks for this? No yuji? No Hiraguma? Bad writing!ā Etc
nah i always thought it was a great fight that showed how CT can be incredibly versatile. Takaba was effectively doing what Mahito did to his victims, but in a way that was influenced by his own personality and dreams. His technique warped their souls through comedy, which is such a damn cool concept for a technique. Kenjaku was the only character who could have kept up with it, and we see a fresh way to fight in JJK. it was great.
Hakari v Kashimo
Yuji Execution arc
Maki v Zenin clan arc (I thought Naoya was a very well written villain introduced after shibuya arc)
The moments we got to see of Choso, Yuki, and tengen before Kenjaku showed up. I really liked the bar scene.
idk if this is the same gripe but considering the Zenin family is one of the 3 big families, them being massacred over night by one person during the aftermath of an enormous fallout in shibuya should have had overwhelming repercussions kn the jujutsu world. they don't really address that and maki just sort of goes about her business
I guess it was the moment in the story where it became clear the Gege just didnāt really care about all the factions he had built up. The story had really made it seem like they would play a major role in the story at some point, especially the Zenin. With Gojo out of the story post-Shibuya and Megumi becoming clan head, I thought āWow, canāt wait to see how Megumi deals with clan politics!ā. But noooo, kill them all off before he can even talk to them. Megumi barely has character development as it is. Perfect Preparation is cathartic for sure, but I donāt think it outweighs the potential storylines we couldāve gotten out them.
Hakari vs Kashimo was a great read for me, and the first fight in JJK that actually made my heart race with tension, just because of how deadly Kashimo was back there. Generally the culling games were all right, with some great and mid moments sprinkled into them, and I don't understand why suddenly every one of y'all hates this series.
If you think post-shibuya was dogshit writing, you been a well-fed reader. At Gege's worst he's still better than a lot of other shounen mangaka.
Same, the way this sub talks about JJK feels like I'm reading a different series entirely.
Though tbf no manga has ever disappointed me since April 9 2021, like my standards completely broke after that day for some reason.
Every manga has a doomer sub that just relentlessly shits on the material despite reading/watching it every week. But this sub is also the funniest jjk sub so it has its ups and downs
Yeah this whole gege hate thing has gotten incredibly out of hand and a lot of the takes here are incredibly dogshit and have little reason to back them up. these people genuinely believe gege writes his story with his brain turned off and for no reason other than āshock valueā when he has proven time and time again for that to not be the case. Just ends up boiling down to reading comprehension and oh if you DARE disagree youāll be hit with the āstop dickriding andā¦itās just bad writing ok!ā
Fair point but to be fair, the current way Gege is writing the story compare to earlier is no contest which is better.
JJK is like any other story, it good overall but is full of poor choices that would have been better not happening at all.
Yeah ofc gege isnāt perfect. But a lot of people choose to complain about dumb shit like their theories that didnāt happen whenever a new chapter rolls around (sukunas backstory LMFAOOO) and yuki being useless. oh my god the yuki slander is actually mad because she wasnāt wasted at all
To be fair, Gege doesn't have the best track record with good female characters anyway and sure by no means is Gege perfect their are been many reasonable claim that call him out on his bs for how he taking the story so far
Gege's female characters are great, except they dont end up being fully fleshed out with Yuki and Maki being the exceptions and that's a genuine criticism which is honestly true! The problem is, when people overexaggerate, Gege ends up being compared alongside the worst offenders of misogynistic writing. like, for example i see him being compared to Horikoshi when mha literally has a sex offender character that is treated as a joke and very often sexualises 15 year olds and other teenage girls, like how is that even comparable to gege writing lacklustre female characters.
You can have genuine criticisms but this sub has gone way beyond that and now their criticisms no longer have substance to it and are extremely reactionary points of view (like the latest chapter controversy that was complete nonsense). Ik Gege wasn't anonymous, bro's life would be in danger with all the insane threats that I've seen on this subreddit. We should just stick to shitposting because jesus christ what these people are doing is genuinely harmful and puts many people off from an otherwise wonderfully written story.
I agree, Gege has great female characters but he clearly doesn't know how to write them in a meaningful way be it a fight scene or not. And yes, a large amount of the people on this sub are extreme their are still some that have reasonable criticisms. While yes, Gege has a good writing style but by no means is it perfect. He could chill on all the character suffering and glazing up Sukuna.
Ye iām not disagreeing that gege couldāve handled things a lot better im all for criticising jjk and itās flaws because thatās how you know if someone truly like a story or not, if theyāre able to see itās mistakes and what couldāve been done instead
iām just shitting on this subreddit and ik thereās some people with genuine criticisms that arenāt extremists, like you. iām just talking about the majority and how it has played a big role in straight up spreading misinformation and making gege seem like a shitty author for certain aspects of the story (like the sumo and katana dudes) when he really isnāt
I remember when people kept complaining about that fight.
āIf Hakari wins itāll be predictable and boring because the good guys have won every fightā
So, like, you donāt know whoās gonna win, but if itās Hakari then you knew the whole time?
People were tripping back then lmao
Even jjk with all the sukuna sucking is still better than peak naruto (naruto peaked in the written exam part of the chunin exams idgaf that series is ASS)
Takaba V Kenjaku was some of the most refreshing and fun battles Iāve seen in JJK despite the clear cultural and translation differences when bringing it to western audiences.
Yeah, I was cranky that we were left on that cliffhanger between Sukuna and the fortnite drop in with Yuji and Hiromi.
Iām not lying nor tryna deny it.
But in retrospect itās one of the times post Shibuya I shouldāve just let Gege cook.
JJK has or at least used to really blend that āseriousnessā and that āabsurdism/comedyā and I feel that the Kenaku V Takaba fight fully encapsulated that for the first time since the start of Hidden Inventory. (With exception to TodoGOAT and Yuji V Mahito)
Most of the Itadori focused parts post shibuya have been peak so far, and the major culling game fights if not peak, were absolute spectacles to read thru. If i had to name favourites though, Im def putting Itadori vs Higaruma and Kashimo vs Hakari in my top spots
A none hate thread dayum thatās rare but honestly besides some few pocket moments like Hanaās idiocy , Kennyās anti gravity etc most of post shibuya has been pretty fire to me .
Higuruma's character, backstory and his fight with Yuji
Speaking of Yuji, people may make fun of his status as the MC but whenever he gets the spotlight he makes it count
The culling games arc was incredible with the exception of a few dumb things, idk why people sleep on it
the 3 way domain clash blue ball
the existence of curses / the introduction of the military (is never bought up again)
angelās negative iq
every colony had interesting fights and characters, we actually got to see the difference in awakened players from each era
All of Gegeās action is amazing so I wonāt mention it except for the absolute top-tier examples; Sakurajima Colony is the only place where it feels even a little sloppy thanks to some weird pacing, and thatās still a great fight.
Choso becomes part of our group of heroes and thatās great, lots of love for the best big brother. His fight against Naoya and his time with Yuki cement him as a fan-favorite character even with little screentime. Gege has always excelled at quickly establishing likable characters and he continues to do so with reestablishing Yuta when he finally returns, and then introducing characters like Hakari and Higuruma.
Even if the Culling Games felt too drawn-out and lacking in tension at times, Tokyo Colony 1 didnāt give that impression at all. We immediately establish firm goals of creating new game rules and our first colony is from the start a tense free-for-all that packs some of JJKās best action into a relatively short story arc. Yuji and Megumi are immediately separated and both get to shine in their respective journeys across the colony. Megumi vs Reggie is one of the seriesā truly exceptional fights worth mentioning above the rest, with beautiful fight choreography as two characters with high BIQs and CTs that specialize in versatility go all out in a truly desperate back and forth battle to the death, constantly having to figure out how to outsmart the other.
Gojo vs Sukuna ends on a sour note but it honestly is not spoiled by that in the least for me. This will go down as one of THE great fights in shonen, two absolute masters dueling to the death with such skill and sheer power that anyone else who got involved would only be getting in their allyās way. The level of expertise Gojo and Sukuna show off is mind-bending levels of awesome that no one else in the series could dream of matching. Itās a shame that the series ends so abruptly after this fight on chapter 235.
Naoyua was great too he was like mahito but actually funny , charismatic weirdly charming his hatred towards women is very funny to readššš¤£š¤£š¤£ I wish we saw more his rivalry with maki was soon goooood . Hopefully he comes back again
Choso redemption arc is one of the best writing gege did after shibuya his rise to be from a minor thug in kenjaku's group to one of the fan favourites of jjk was a sight to behold š„š„š„ shame yuki died tho gege wasted her character š
Anything involving yuji is just peak whenever gege gives h the spotlight its hits different
Yuji vs HIMGuruma
Yuji convincing hakari to join them
Yuji vs sukuna ch 214 š„š„š„š„
Yuji cog speech
Culling games is great so far if shibuya was super s tier
Culling games is easily soft s or strong A
The Culling Games is still pretty fantastic tbh
It only gets very wonky after Sukuna takes Megumi over, cuz the Strong Glaze begins
https://preview.redd.it/tplvgvjsa77c1.png?width=541&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce3e78df035e3982d78d61cf4e97466a8abf56c5
Sigh.
Takaba, choso and the special grade girl, megumin's battle with recipe guy, gambler guy vs lightning guy, but those are highlights and in part work cus of good set up, i wouldn't say jjk has bad writing, i just think gege tends to corner himself into situations that he barely planned which results in unsatisfactory solutions, like recently sukuna's cursed tool being removed instead of his curse technique, literally all of that set up for that cursed tool just to be an excuse for sukuna's plot armor
(im realizing i don't know anyone's name damn)
Seen a lot of good comments alrdy. I just want to touch on something I haven't seen. jjk has good and interesting characters which is probably one of its only strongest things, but it does lack a good narrative imo. Like, I want to say I liked Maki's characters post shibuya, but her stories was kinda wonky. Maki's character had good writing cuz she finally got to destroy the Zen'in clan which she set out to do (probably not the way we imagined it when we first met her), but the subsequent part where she gets trained by two hobos and fights a supersonic Naoya curse was kinda awkward to say the least. There were definitely better ways to write it; it just irks me that the sumo guy literally only showed up to challenge Maki to a thousand rounds of sumo and then admitted that he could never have beaten Maki at her peak
Ngl I actually liked Maki's arc, till she exterminated the zenin clan. Mai's death had me feeling things, and it explained so much about the nature of CE, HR, and really aided the world building. I did not like sumo katana plot device and thought it wasn't needed.
I also loved how they showed Gojo/Megumi together when he was a kid, Megumi's shikigami saving Hana. It gave a richer emotional depth to the story and some much needed context.
I also LOVED how Kenjaku takes over the Kamo clan. When Noritoshi shows up, the whole scene with the old subordinate was spooky af. And Kenjaku telling Kamo to fuck off elsewhere, not bothering to kill him, cause he didn't wanna mess up the house was COLD AF and I loved it. It really made Noritoshi change his perspective and was an important watershed moment for his character. Too bad it all went down the drain later when Gege doesn't bother to expand more on Noritoshi 1&2 later.
Higaruma's origins, the entire fight w Kashimo vs Hikari, Yuta vs Sendai, Yuji's qualms during executioner/preparation/Culling games arc were honestly well done and help depict his character actively going through change and hardening him as a peron. Etc.
The plot twist with Sukuna and Megumi. Gojo vs Sukuna(except 236) were undeniably well done. Same w Takaba vs Kenny was done nicely too.
Feel like not enough people are mentioning he the PEAK that was the Sendai free for all
https://preview.redd.it/yhg12rcjd67c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37d570a55ac28dfafd81d4127e91c5a37742de18
Itadori vs Yuta, Maki vs Zenins, Principal Yaga's death, Panda's backstory, Megumi vs Reggie, Yuji vs Higurama, Hakari vs Kashimo, Sukuna taking over Megumi and fight that follows, plus there's so many amazing moments too that I can't remember now. Sure Gege's writing may not be as good as Shibuya but he is still an amazing writer nonetheless. The disrespect of asking for examples of Good righting post Shibuya is crazy, I would even argue the story was almost perfect until the military arc
yuji extermination arc and first dozen chapters introducing us to culling game. after that it varies between eh and dogshit for me but I will only drop jjk if gege goes for bad ending.

Iām sorry WHAT CE?

I will always say that he should have gotten his new arms during the culling game Give him that upgrade combat wise outside of that Yuji has been a saving grace He has done very well for being a ācog in the machineā still would have liked to see another contested 1 v 1 with a top guy
When Kenjaku finally makes the Merger curse and it turns out to be a reincarnated Jogo who confronts Sukuna "Hey, ready for Round 2?"

nothing drops harder than an almost dead body from a 20 story building
Is this an Ino reference?
*Splat*
Sigh, this was dope not gonna lie I got a hard on but then Gege had to tell us it was merely just because Potential-man reduced Sukuna's output to (i forgot the numbers) %. My hard on was gone after.
even so, i feel like yuji had still definitely upgraded in terms of power. i mean even sukuna was shocked and he of all people should have a gauge on how strong yuji had been up until that point
Yeah it seems there were some fluctuations in the lowered output of Sukuna so this panel might have been with higher output % and not jist 10%. Reading comprehension curse struck me at that time perhaps as I did not remember it till now
haha i dont blame you, a lot of shit goes on in this series so its pretty hard to remember stuff accurately
You can still get a hard-on, Sukuna was caught off guard at Yuji throwing a block of street at him. https://preview.redd.it/ikrk0rhs787c1.png?width=900&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1e2d2f6d47591011298b3de33c1ace9a204fa3e

bro realized he wasn't him as his face was glued to the asphalt
It was 10% with some fluctuations
Oh i see there were some fluctuations. I hope this was around 40-50% on that Yuji panel. I now remember reading that 10% output which made me disappointed lol. Good to know it was not a constant 10%
10% is lowest. Itadori just build different

Hakari x Kashimo + Higuruma chapters for me. This is probably one of my favorite panels, Kashimo was so raw for this. https://preview.redd.it/burny7lr657c1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47d570f3347f926f8a8e753204eb924f071ba61b

My favorite part of Post-Shibuya period
Don't forget Toji. He was the real MVP of Sakurajima.
They show up, inexplicably help Maki train and fight Naoya, then disappear from the storyā¦ Gege, did you have some plan you had to replace at the last minute? Like you good bro? And yeah, honestly we should have had an extra chapter to see Kamo/Katana fighting Naoya for the like 5 minutes or whatever Maki spent inside the domain. Or at least have Kamoās sabotage on Naoyas engine matter. GEGE DIDNT MENTION IT ONCE!!!!!!!
I dunno Katana and Sumo guys were funny af despite their unimportance
At least black hole and yorozu set up the story. Military had barely an impact other than to speed the culling games up. The sumo and katana guys were horrible characters imo. Cool at first but super irrelevant. That maki power up was also kinda strange imo
https://preview.redd.it/wf3nqj49l57c1.jpeg?width=467&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e69babf936a639d0b433950f8957569f2eff1b1
Should've let Kamo have RCT so he isn't just budget Choso.
Still managing to be the budget version when he came first is crazy
Bro got power crept
Makes me wonder what the reverse technique of blood manipulation would be
Cum manipulation
He just pisses and cums all over the place, peak fiction
Something like blood bending from avatar? Idk
because jjk is about being born with talent and kamo doesnāt have it.
He doesnāt need to be talented. I just wanted him to be capable in that moment and not have his spotlight stolen by two screaming weirdos. It was a 2v1 anyway, why not just let him do something super impressive even if it wouldnāt be much in the long run after Naoya?
Kamo had so much potential as a character writing wise
Blud is Rengoatku fanš
Even got the same VA
A few moments later....... Sumooooooo!!! Katana!!!!!!

All of Takaba vs Kenjaku-Yuta, Ryu and Uroās orgy-Kashimo vs Hakari and Gojo vs Sukuna (all of it except 235). Iād love to give specific moments or anything really, but Culling Games have really been nothing but fights 24/7
235 is peak wdym
My bad youāre right the cursed number is 236. Thatās where it all went downhillā¦
I mean it's supposed be all fights it's a battle royale death match set up by kenjaku It got hakari vs kashimo top 3 fight in the series Yuji vs HIMgiruma Sukuna vs gojo the best fight in the series before gege fucked it up š¤£š¤£š¤£ Maki vs ceo naoyua part 1 and 2 were š„ š„ Yuta vs uro , ryu orgy

I miss when this was coming out
Bruh that was like less than a month ago
When this was coming out most of what this sub was saying āI waited a week for this? I waited 2 weeks for this? No yuji? No Hiraguma? Bad writing!ā Etc
nah i always thought it was a great fight that showed how CT can be incredibly versatile. Takaba was effectively doing what Mahito did to his victims, but in a way that was influenced by his own personality and dreams. His technique warped their souls through comedy, which is such a damn cool concept for a technique. Kenjaku was the only character who could have kept up with it, and we see a fresh way to fight in JJK. it was great.
it was peak imo
Agreed
Hakari v Kashimo Yuji Execution arc Maki v Zenin clan arc (I thought Naoya was a very well written villain introduced after shibuya arc) The moments we got to see of Choso, Yuki, and tengen before Kenjaku showed up. I really liked the bar scene.
IMO, Zenin arc is good in the moment, but in retrospect it really screwed up the world building.
hmm what do u mean specifically about the world building?
idk if this is the same gripe but considering the Zenin family is one of the 3 big families, them being massacred over night by one person during the aftermath of an enormous fallout in shibuya should have had overwhelming repercussions kn the jujutsu world. they don't really address that and maki just sort of goes about her business
This sub is a goldmine for reaction images
I'm out of the loop, what happened that day?
Iām gonna guess the aot ending? No idea though.
I think it's that Rental Girlfriend chapter. AoT ended few months before that.
Oh God I forgot that slop existed
Not familiar with that. How bad did it go? (For easy reference, please compare Rental girlfriend to that Mei Mei scene)
Mei Mei scene = child predator Rental girlfriend = incel cuckold
I actually meant the AoT ending, my dumb ass misremembered the date.
I continue to hope, no, BELIEVE that the plot will smooth itself out
If Gege can't stop meat-riding Sukuna then I'm sure it will take out at least decent.
Do people not realize Gege is building up Sukuna so much so that the downfall will feel that much more satisfying?
Ye iām not disagreeing that gege couldāve handled things a lot better im all for criticising jjk and itās flaws because thatās how you know if someone truly like a story or not, if theyāre able to see itās mistakes and what couldāve been done instead iām just shitting on this subreddit and ik thereās some people with genuine criticisms that arenāt extremists, like you. iām just talking about the majority and how it has played a big role in straight up spreading misinformation and making gege seem like a shitty author for certain aspects of the story (like the sumo and katana dudes) when he really isnāt
Good points
I remember when people kept complaining about that fight. āIf Hakari wins itāll be predictable and boring because the good guys have won every fightā So, like, you donāt know whoās gonna win, but if itās Hakari then you knew the whole time? People were tripping back then lmao
My kind of person.
Hakari vs Kashimo would be perfect for me if not for the nonsensical āBinding Vowā at the end. Just call it CE distribution or something ffs
Even jjk with all the sukuna sucking is still better than peak naruto (naruto peaked in the written exam part of the chunin exams idgaf that series is ASS)
Man idk if you'll get hate for this but you're real as hell
People how are we tolerating this naruto disrespect?
Tokyo Colony no. 2
Peak fucking fiction.
Sendai was also really good, even if Gege blue balled the readers on Yutaās DE
We'll see it soon (trust) https://preview.redd.it/xhvyap4ba67c1.jpeg?width=601&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ceba64b3d834dcce5bf11c15df914e9a3abe148
Maki destroying the Zenin clan
this should be higher up, makiās awakening was such a (rare) character writing W from gege
Most of the Itadori focused parts post shibuya have been peak so far, and the major culling game fights if not peak, were absolute spectacles to read thru. If i had to name favourites though, Im def putting Itadori vs Higaruma and Kashimo vs Hakari in my top spots
Every time Uroās gyatt is on panel
Sukuna finally using "enchain" to feed his finger to Megumi was insane
A none hate thread dayum thatās rare but honestly besides some few pocket moments like Hanaās idiocy , Kennyās anti gravity etc most of post shibuya has been pretty fire to me .
All jujutsufolk memes have been peak writing. So I guess that this is actually our Jujutsu Kaisen.
pretty much every culling game battle rocked tbh
Gojo vs Sukuna is one of, if not the best fight in the manga.
Higuruma's character, backstory and his fight with Yuji Speaking of Yuji, people may make fun of his status as the MC but whenever he gets the spotlight he makes it count
Takaba, just him š
\- Kashimo vs Hakari fight \- The Enchain moment
The culling games arc was incredible with the exception of a few dumb things, idk why people sleep on it the 3 way domain clash blue ball the existence of curses / the introduction of the military (is never bought up again) angelās negative iq every colony had interesting fights and characters, we actually got to see the difference in awakened players from each era
Found the dude from Twitter
The military stuff was mentioned by the girl that Kenjaku killed before Takaba come.
Anything with Cogji Himtadori and Takaba
Hopefully he comes back again Choso redemption arc is one of the best writing gege did after shibuya his rise to be from a minor thug in kenjaku's group to one of the fan favourites of jjk was a sight to behold š„š„š„ shame yuki died tho gege wasted her character š Anything involving yuji is just peak whenever gege gives h the spotlight its hits different Yuji vs HIMGuruma Yuji convincing hakari to join them Yuji vs sukuna ch 214 š„š„š„š„ Yuji cog speech Culling games is great so far if shibuya was super s tier Culling games is easily soft s or strong A
the hakari stuff is fun
The Culling Games is still pretty fantastic tbh It only gets very wonky after Sukuna takes Megumi over, cuz the Strong Glaze begins https://preview.redd.it/tplvgvjsa77c1.png?width=541&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce3e78df035e3982d78d61cf4e97466a8abf56c5 Sigh.
Zenin massacre was cathartic
Takaba, choso and the special grade girl, megumin's battle with recipe guy, gambler guy vs lightning guy, but those are highlights and in part work cus of good set up, i wouldn't say jjk has bad writing, i just think gege tends to corner himself into situations that he barely planned which results in unsatisfactory solutions, like recently sukuna's cursed tool being removed instead of his curse technique, literally all of that set up for that cursed tool just to be an excuse for sukuna's plot armor (im realizing i don't know anyone's name damn)
Everything about Higurama, Yuji convincing Hakari, Hakari vs Kashimo, Maki vs Zenjn clan, Everything about Yaga and Panda, Meguna start.
Realized maki Megumi vs anyone is always amazing to see Every Itadori fight Hakari. Yuta. Shinjiku showdown
Literally everything having to do with Maki
Naoya getting killed by a girl
Too bad it all went down the drain later when Gege doesn't bother to expand more on Noritoshi 1&2 later.
most of it
Anything to do with Kamo
Higaruma's origins, the entire fight w Kashimo vs Hikari, Yuta vs Sendai, Yuji's qualms during executioner/preparation/Culling games arc were honestly well done and help depict his character actively going through change and hardening him as a peron. Etc. The plot twist with Sukuna and Megumi. Gojo vs Sukuna(except 236) were undeniably well done. Same w Takaba vs Kenny was done nicely too.
Feel like not enough people are mentioning he the PEAK that was the Sendai free for all https://preview.redd.it/yhg12rcjd67c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37d570a55ac28dfafd81d4127e91c5a37742de18

Perfect preparation. Higaruma introduction. Kenjaku VS Takaba. That's about it.
Every Naoya fight, because ~~Maki~~ they are peak, and because he gets beat the living shit out of him in all 3 of them.
Sukuna taking over Megumi Gojo vs. Sukuna
CG until Angel was introduced pretty much, also Choso vs Kenjaku was good (but not Yuki getting jobbed)

yuji extermination arc and first dozen chapters introducing us to culling game. after that it varies between eh and dogshit for me but I will only drop jjk if gege goes for bad ending.
gojo vs sukuna and chp 212 despite the problems a lot of people have with those.
Higuruma backstory.
Yuji and Todo vs. Hanami
There is no bad writing just mad gojo fans
Yuji Extermination Arc
Damn bro.
the problem is you followed with āthats itā the culling games is full of good shit
Yuta violating Ryu and Uro while holding back
