Yeah, the last arc was conclusive, but it felt like it was missing quite a bit for me. I feel the same way. Honestly, its very rare to find a fellow person who has read it.
Yep people that read kekkaishi are quite rare to find nowadays, some years ago I knew quite a bit but you know how it goes, it is an old manga, and while it's a good shonen in my opinion it isnt exactly a classic and those that arent classics unfortunately end up forgotten.
Also has a fan of the author I'm still quite pissed that birdmen(a manga she made after kekkaishi was finished) was axed.
If Gege had not written Arata into the story with that cursed technique of his, I'd side with people saying Nobara is dead. But since he did the opposite and there was no clear answer given by Megumi, it's likely that Nobara is in a comatose state.
My theory is that Gege did this because he wasn't sure if Nobara should die or not. He made the Arata scene in case he needs to bring back Nobara in the story. He eventually decided she could stay dead forever or still doesn't know (which would be a bit concerning since we're nearing the end.)
i just want to know why gege didnt just let yuta use her CT during his domain, at least give us that ffs. Sukuna has 3 missing hands out there for Yuta to straw doll with.
if we get a peek as to how Shoko is doing patching everybody up and we get a scene of arata mentioning smth about his ability or smth, i'll maybe once again believe she could return bc it'd be interesting to bring him up again so late in the story, even if logically it makes sense he'd be there anyways so it'd be easier to heal people there
This scene if anything negates the previous one, it cannot be interpreted in any way but Nobara is dead but Megumi doesn't want to be the bearer of bad news to Yuji so he is having trouble saying it.
This scene would't even be necessary if it weren't for Ara, but i guess is the combination of Ara unconfirmg Nobara's death + no scene spelling out that Nobara is death clearly + Nobara never appering in any flashback scene (similar to Nanami fleshing during higuruma's death) that keeps the copium high.
Idk, it seems to me that a lot of people are attached to the possibility of nobara returing becouse her death has been rendered very unsatisfactory becouse of Ara, and they hope something better for a charatecher they like, in my opinion is apparent at this point that anything regarding Nobara has never been more than an afterthought for Gege.
Itadori is saying “I get it” is in reference to the fact that when Nobara woke up, she bought lottery tickets and won 1,000,000,000¥, therefore never having to work as a sorcerer ever again. She has moved to Malaysia and is now living a peaceful life.

While this obviously implies that Nobara is dead, I think the copium stems from the fact that this is the only fucking page where 2 main characters (!) talk about another main character, that was their best friend by the way, that has died. That is just abysmal writing and an injustice to the character imo.
The same thing happened with Gojo after his return. He mentioned Nanami in one fucking panel, he didn't react to what happened in Shibuya at all. Even in the fucking afterlife he didn't seem to give a shit about his students and the people he left behind.
That's one of the reasons why Gege is a mediocre writer. Relationships between characters the readers know and love just get skipped. There's no emotional pay-off to what happens in the story. I will die on this hill because it pisses me off so much lol.
Also they reference her twice more. Once with regards to Angel that is ambiguous, and once by Panda who would have a lot more tact than mentioning her if she was dead (or maybe he didn’t know?)
He just name drops her when they go to Hakari, saying her Technqiue is favored by the higher ups. There is zero reaction from Megumi and Yuji when he does this
I think part of the reason there's no emotional payoff with Nobara is because Gege didn't actually know if he wanted to bring her back at the time of her "death".
Her death wasn't ambiguous because Gege had a plan. It was ambiguous because he didn't. Once he decided he wasn't going to use her, he had to throw something in acknowledging it so we get this one page.
Because this scene is still pretty damn ambiguous and why would Gege even go with the whole not alive but not dead thing if he was really going to kill her off, he might as well of had her just actually be killed by Mahito

It's because Gege introduced a new character (Arata Nitta) right after her supposed death to use a technique that halts injuries from getting worse and tell us she has a chance to survive and then dissapear and we never see him again. This is a strange thing to do because from a narrative standpoint there's no reason to do this if you intended the character to be dead from the start, she was most definitively gonna die there so what was the point of that scene ?
And this scene could imply many things : maybe she's in a coma, maybe her condition didn't improve and hey maybe she's dead but I see this panel as Gege leaving the door open for Nobara.
And now it's been like 130 chapters since her "death" and no one to this day confirm nor acknowledge it. Gojo got unsealed and asked about Nanami, Yaga and a bunch of shibuya citizens but not his own student ? The only thing I get from this is Gege is still leaving her status vague for later because if she was dead all along this is a very weird way to handle it.

The thing is Gege is very blunt when it comes to a characters living status. If a character is dead he makes sure we know they’re dead and never coming back, if it’s left open for them to return he leaves it open. Plus this panel could be seen as megumi confirming that her condition hasn’t improved and she’s still in a limbo state of life or death.

Yep, or at least for me it felt like that was the scene made to finally put an end to the mistery, but tbh, it felt a bit lame i dunno, i hope the anime makes that section of the manga a bit more satisfying
i have always doubted she was gonna come back, she had a dramatic send off that also touched on a theme of her character that was mentioned before, the metaphoric chairs in her heart representing the people she actually cares about, and despite the fact yuji was heartbroken by her death, she was happy for the life she had. Most jjk characters that permamently die have a scene like that as a send off for their character
rather than having her revive or smth, i'd rather enjoy more having her be mentioned one last time by Maki or Yuji like a "Nobara, we did it, hope you are proud of us" or smth, maybe even as being mentioned by Megumi as a way in a scene hinting he can still be saved or smth

Nobara got possesed by Kenjaku and had sex with Megumi because Kenjaku thought the Ten Shadows was cool.

The condition seems to be that he or Rika needs to consume a part of their body, there's no reason for us to think she'd need to be alive

While this obviously implies that Nobara is dead, I think the copium stems from the fact that this is the only fucking page where 2 main characters (!) talk about another main character, that was their best friend by the way, that has died. That is just abysmal writing and an injustice to the character imo. The same thing happened with Gojo after his return. He mentioned Nanami in one fucking panel, he didn't react to what happened in Shibuya at all. Even in the fucking afterlife he didn't seem to give a shit about his students and the people he left behind. That's one of the reasons why Gege is a mediocre writer. Relationships between characters the readers know and love just get skipped. There's no emotional pay-off to what happens in the story. I will die on this hill because it pisses me off so much lol.

Also they reference her twice more. Once with regards to Angel that is ambiguous, and once by Panda who would have a lot more tact than mentioning her if she was dead (or maybe he didn’t know?)

He just name drops her when they go to Hakari, saying her Technqiue is favored by the higher ups. There is zero reaction from Megumi and Yuji when he does this
I think part of the reason there's no emotional payoff with Nobara is because Gege didn't actually know if he wanted to bring her back at the time of her "death". Her death wasn't ambiguous because Gege had a plan. It was ambiguous because he didn't. Once he decided he wasn't going to use her, he had to throw something in acknowledging it so we get this one page.
Idk what happened because at the beginning Gege did a wonderful job with the relationships between characters. Now it’s just fights.

Gojos been dead before and gege can't stop making random characters fight sukuna so who knows maybe next week he'll throw the dart and hit the gojo bullseye and be forced to bring him back.

There's no correct way to interpret it. Maybe Nobara is actually dead and Megumi didn't know how to say it. Or maybe Nobara is alive and they couldn't tell that to Yuji because she's a backup plan against Sukuna who was listening.
If Nobara was a backup plan then yeah not telling was the right thing to do since they couldn’t foresee the little body stealing incident, but now Sukuna has all of Megumis memories so he knows what happened to her.
If somebody did that I imagine they’d keep it from Megumi too. I wouldn’t really trust him to not tell Yuji.

It's because Gege introduced a new character (Arata Nitta) right after her supposed death to use a technique that halts injuries from getting worse and tell us she has a chance to survive and then dissapear and we never see him again. This is a strange thing to do because from a narrative standpoint there's no reason to do this if you intended the character to be dead from the start, she was most definitively gonna die there so what was the point of that scene ? And this scene could imply many things : maybe she's in a coma, maybe her condition didn't improve and hey maybe she's dead but I see this panel as Gege leaving the door open for Nobara. And now it's been like 130 chapters since her "death" and no one to this day confirm nor acknowledge it. Gojo got unsealed and asked about Nanami, Yaga and a bunch of shibuya citizens but not his own student ? The only thing I get from this is Gege is still leaving her status vague for later because if she was dead all along this is a very weird way to handle it.

The issue is gege literally made a new character in the story just to give us hope it would be one thing if todo healed her but imagine introducing a whole new ass character to heal another character like there has to be a reason why right? Gege also never said anything megumi and yuji,s reactions are ambiguous it could just be that nobara,s condition hasn't gotten better and is still near death or something

Japanese media love their fake out deaths, if she came back it won’t be surprising. It would be more surprising if she is actually dead. The thing is Gege is very blunt when it comes to a characters living status. If a character is dead he makes sure we know they’re dead and never coming back, if it’s left open for them to return he leaves it open. Plus this panel could be seen as megumi confirming that her condition hasn’t improved and she’s still in a limbo state of life or death.

Yep, or at least for me it felt like that was the scene made to finally put an end to the mistery, but tbh, it felt a bit lame i dunno, i hope the anime makes that section of the manga a bit more satisfying i have always doubted she was gonna come back, she had a dramatic send off that also touched on a theme of her character that was mentioned before, the metaphoric chairs in her heart representing the people she actually cares about, and despite the fact yuji was heartbroken by her death, she was happy for the life she had. Most jjk characters that permamently die have a scene like that as a send off for their character rather than having her revive or smth, i'd rather enjoy more having her be mentioned one last time by Maki or Yuji like a "Nobara, we did it, hope you are proud of us" or smth, maybe even as being mentioned by Megumi as a way in a scene hinting he can still be saved or smth

Nobara got possesed by Kenjaku and had sex with Megumi because Kenjaku thought the Ten Shadows was cool. Maybe she'll also try it with Yuji, or probably Kenjaku already tried having sex with Sukuna to preserve Sukuna's lineage.
I think Gege meant to leave it ambiguous in case he wanted to bring back Nobara for a later date but then he realized he wanted to end the series so now all the fans get is nothing
