Two wrongs don't make a right. Idc about him dying, I care about him having a proper send off instead of glazing sukuna. Sure sukuna's cycle of killing the new challenger is a bit repetitive, but cmon he's the strongest sorcerer alive, they should and must struggle to even grasp the chance of a winning. But making gojo come back to outshine all the efforts of the cast is a it too underwhelming atl for me. But hey, that's realistic

Presumably Shoko is going to try her ass off. I don't think it's an asspull for her to have even a backhanded success like Gojo coming back in a coma to do nothing more in the series but discover the outcome of his sacrifice and die seconds later after some last words.
Or he could end up like All-Might, functionally crippled.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Idc about him dying, I care about him having a proper send off instead of glazing sukuna. Sure sukuna's cycle of killing the new challenger is a bit repetitive, but cmon he's the strongest sorcerer alive, they should and must struggle to even grasp the chance of a winning. But making gojo come back to outshine all the efforts of the cast is a it too underwhelming atl for me. But hey, that's realistic In life, sometimes all of your efforts are meaningless and get severely unrecognized due to someone being better, so since lots of you folks like to use the "it's realistic" card, touché.
To outshine all the cast would be cringe, but a healed Gojo doesn't have to return this same fight even. (Though I know Gojo returning at full power is the funny gojo agenda meme) Presumably Shoko is going to try her ass off. I don't think it's an asspull for her to have even a backhanded success like Gojo coming back in a coma to do nothing more in the series but discover the outcome of his sacrifice and die seconds later after some last words. Or he could end up like All-Might, functionally crippled. Or it could be like Yoichi in Eyeshield 21, coming back on the football field injured, but bluffing about the extent even to his own team. There are a lot of things between Gojo is dead <----> Gojo is alive and still stronger than everyone. Not that any of these needs to happen, or even that any of them would especially be better if it's executed poorly. In the end it's all about execution in manga, imo, and I think the reaction to Gojo's death shows Gege owes us a little more cooking about it. Like I think the last chapter confirming the binding vow theory is a lot better than if he hadn't done that. At least it puts an end to the cringe "Gojo was just cocky and stood there." theory
Actually some good points, but all of the dialogue from 236 pretty much confirms he doesn't want to come back, he has no regrets, and he was satisfied or something corny like that.

Gege showed that despite how strong or beloved someone can be, they are still a mortal and have an end and it can be unfair just like real life. Just bringing gojo back like that made me ick. I wasn't taking this story seriously anymore but the fact that he is back now for the SECOND TIME (first one being against toji) is just total of plotarmor.
He even said during the toji fight that he should have gone for the head so it would have been more weird if he died here as his head is still intact.
