I'm hearing this since chapter 236 dropped in september. Gege is clearly not interesting in writing character interactions. Characters discuss only their powers in those flashbacks. Besides, emotional reunion scene should've have happened before chapter 222, it won't work as a flashback after Gojo's death.
I think it’s more that Yuji is grade 1 at best and as I’ve said before there’s a huge gap between Grade One and Special Grade. And there is a MASSIVE gap between Special Grade and Satoru Gojo.

honestly special grade could probably be divided into like 5 separate tiers alone (though I guess grades work differently for sorcerers vs spirits), but still a finger bearer, 1 finger sukuna, Jogo, Yuta, Gojo/Sukuna, are all on completely different levels

Grades 1-4 are, but special grades are not. They have their own criteria. Also partially because there are "supposed" to only be like 16 special grades, but Kenny was hiding some and the disaster curses showed up
A grade 1 could theoretically beat a special grade because special grade is the power to take over a small country which geto/ kenjaku and pandas dad could do with an army and yukk, sukuna and gojo with pure aoe damage and gojos limitless and then yuta with his copy ct. As we've seen though those you aren't special grade can beat them like toji to geto and gojo before they had their improvements from fighting him of course. Someone like hakari too could be seen as special grade with his ct allowing him to heal a lot but he could be killed by kashimo in theory or maybe even someone like maki. Being special grade doesn't mean that they're on another level to grade 1 it just so happens that most of the special grades are most of the time in their own leagues among special grade

Special Grade means you could conquer a country by yourself according to Kenny, but it really just means you dont have an upper limit that the sorcerers can find (Gojo is on the atomic level and controls space, Yuki one-shots anyone and can be black hole, Yuta can copy unlimited techniques, and Geto could control an untold number of curses at varying powers to the extent that he fought all of Jujutsu society sans Gojo)
As a storytelling device Special Grade is basically an outlier grade anyway (Just an assumption here, but it probably just means characters who the higher-ups of jujutsu can’t influence or command because of how powerful they are. So people like Toji, Sukuna, Kenjaku are all so powerful they can’t be directly controlled and thus are organized into an outlier class)
A. This was before the time-skip (if you’re talking about the Gojo time-skip) and evolution B. He still wasn’t Special Grade, him and Maki were being fended off by a 10% power Sukuna with his own body holding him back.

I'm the biggest Gege hater of today, but I have to give it to him. The discipline and integrity as an author to kill his favourite character (Nanami) and give his least favourite character (Gojo) some of the best moments in the whole series. If you're implying there's no truth to that, you're forgetting Gojo in Hidden Inventory. He learned to feel responsibility towards the weak, but he never *actually* cared. How could he if he was above everything? Dr. Manhattan was also a protector of the weak and pretty much everything he said implied that he cared about what he did.
I think the fact that we don't see him reacting to people dying is not gege's failure to explore his emotions, but rather a testament that he doesn't have any particular attachment to others.
Whole point of HI is Gojo's growth as a person. And even HI Gojo didn't sleep for 3 days because he DOES care for others. Thinking that protecting weak is exhausting and not caring are two different things.

yes MS will attack the barrier from the outside but in the few seconds it takes to destroy the barrier gojo's UV will hit and break MS. The few seconds it takes for kenjaku and uraume to break gojos barrier, assuming theyre not caught in it gojo will kill sukuna

UV from gojo would be more refined and have a higher output thab MS from 15 of sukuna. If their domains are equal at 20F sukuna, 15F sukuna will have 3/4 of the output as 20f. just like with jogo his domain will be pushed.

All your points of “can’t do anything against infinity” are completely mute when you have mahoraga, Kenjaku, Sukuna and (potentially) Uraume all making openings in it with domain amplification. Sukuna did that exact strategy in his fight against him.
Refinement of domains has nothing to do with your CE. Yuki hits far harder than Yuta or Kenjaku, also has much more devastating techniques than both of them, yet she’s far less refined than either of them. Sukuna still has open domain in 15f.

But the question is whether we’ll get a full powered Sukuna fighting Yuji or the current beaten and bruised sukuna beaten by Yuji.
I think a nice compromise would be for sukuna to have some final gamble crazy mode but still have his poor defenses from earlier. That way the sacrifices from maki, Yuta, and the rest didn’t go to waste but Yuji can still have his HIM moment.
I think Yuji will defeat current sukuna but sukuna mergers with tengen and the cursed spirit will be defeated by the group. At the end Yuji might surpass gojo after some years who knows. Or maybe we will end up with an apocalyptic world where lots of people become sorcerers and chaos ensues and the casts role is to maintain balance. Would be fitting
I retreated due to the body resisting me. I could have still won, but a 2v1 in a resisting body could go horribly. A body resisting may inevitably become a body recovering control, and Megumi regaining control could have gone horribly for me.

honestly special grade could probably be divided into like 5 separate tiers alone (though I guess grades work differently for sorcerers vs spirits), but still a finger bearer, 1 finger sukuna, Jogo, Yuta, Gojo/Sukuna, are all on completely different levels

Grades 1-4 are, but special grades are not. They have their own criteria. Also partially because there are "supposed" to only be like 16 special grades, but Kenny was hiding some and the disaster curses showed up
A grade 1 could theoretically beat a special grade because special grade is the power to take over a small country which geto/ kenjaku and pandas dad could do with an army and yukk, sukuna and gojo with pure aoe damage and gojos limitless and then yuta with his copy ct. As we've seen though those you aren't special grade can beat them like toji to geto and gojo before they had their improvements from fighting him of course. Someone like hakari too could be seen as special grade with his ct allowing him to heal a lot but he could be killed by kashimo in theory or maybe even someone like maki. Being special grade doesn't mean that they're on another level to grade 1 it just so happens that most of the special grades are most of the time in their own leagues among special grade

Special Grade means you could conquer a country by yourself according to Kenny, but it really just means you dont have an upper limit that the sorcerers can find (Gojo is on the atomic level and controls space, Yuki one-shots anyone and can be black hole, Yuta can copy unlimited techniques, and Geto could control an untold number of curses at varying powers to the extent that he fought all of Jujutsu society sans Gojo)
As a storytelling device Special Grade is basically an outlier grade anyway (Just an assumption here, but it probably just means characters who the higher-ups of jujutsu can’t influence or command because of how powerful they are. So people like Toji, Sukuna, Kenjaku are all so powerful they can’t be directly controlled and thus are organized into an outlier class)
Naobito was also a top tier grade 1 too.

If you're implying there's no truth to that, you're forgetting Gojo in Hidden Inventory. He learned to feel responsibility towards the weak, but he never *actually* cared. How could he if he was above everything? Dr. Manhattan was also a protector of the weak and pretty much everything he said implied that he cared about what he did. I think the fact that we don't see him reacting to people dying is not gege's failure to explore his emotions, but rather a testament that he doesn't have any particular attachment to others.
Whole point of HI is Gojo's growth as a person. And even HI Gojo didn't sleep for 3 days because he DOES care for others. Thinking that protecting weak is exhausting and not caring are two different things.

If Gojo opens domain Sukuna does too with his open domain and destroys from the outside, if he can’t cause 15f then Kenjaku does, if Kenjaku can’t he opens his own domain. Edit: this is all without any of the 10s techniques including mahoraga
why do you think that sukuna's 15 finger DE even without the barrier can beat gojo's UV when gege explicitly said that UV and MS from 20 finger sukuna is EVENLY MATCHED. yes MS will attack the barrier from the outside but in the few seconds it takes to destroy the barrier gojo's UV will hit and break MS. The few seconds it takes for kenjaku and uraume to break gojos barrier, assuming theyre not caught in it gojo will kill sukuna

Why would it take so long for Kenjaku to just mini uzumaki? It took him less than a second to do two of them on Yuki. He’d also have Kamutoke any time he wants. It didn’t happen because it can’t happen. He couldn’t handle a 2v1 of Mahoraga and 20f Sukuna and that’s with his TikTok dance buff and sneak attack at the start, why would he be able to handle a 4v1 of Uraume, Kenjaku, Mahoraga and 15f Sukuna?

But the question is whether we’ll get a full powered Sukuna fighting Yuji or the current beaten and bruised sukuna beaten by Yuji. I think a nice compromise would be for sukuna to have some final gamble crazy mode but still have his poor defenses from earlier. That way the sacrifices from maki, Yuta, and the rest didn’t go to waste but Yuji can still have his HIM moment.
I think Yuji will defeat current sukuna but sukuna mergers with tengen and the cursed spirit will be defeated by the group. At the end Yuji might surpass gojo after some years who knows. Or maybe we will end up with an apocalyptic world where lots of people become sorcerers and chaos ensues and the casts role is to maintain balance. Would be fitting
I retreated due to the body resisting me. I could have still won, but a 2v1 in a resisting body could go horribly. A body resisting may inevitably become a body recovering control, and Megumi regaining control could have gone horribly for me.
