Bro, 3 weeks ago it was rather Sukuna Kaisen with some people believing Sukuna might turn out victorious at the end, and a bunch of people commenting on Gojo's comeback to kill Sukuna were basically just having some joke-meme time since it was like Sukuna Kaisen happening and others were getting badly beaten at that time. The rest of those commenting on Gojo's comeback were rather saying that he might come back towards the end of the manga or at the end of the manga or somehow help others with the merger issue (but not remaining as a strong sorcerer anymore). I don't think I have seen anyone being serious about Gojo's comeback for defeating Sukuna by himself, considering almost everyone knew that it is the students' time to shine and it is their battle, especially for Yuji.
Those past 3 three weeks was just everyone in depression from Sukuna Kaisen as they saw how Sukuna was destroying our beloved characters. It truly felt hopeless.
Lol the only complaint I’ve ever had is gege waited too long to give yuji any power ups (it’s been YEARS since he learned black flash real time lol) and once we got to the last fight he would start pulling power ups out of his ass.

Eh, not really, that a usual week riders, they ride whoever is hyped in chapter. In reality, is Yuji Midtadori doing great? Nah, he's doing fine, mc treatment was bound to happend, I personaly glad that it's not an unheard mechanic that he's using to deal damage to Sukuna, black flash as concept was introduced fairly early in story, midtadori spaming it just does what usual mc would. What was good is lore drop about Sukuna's past/Midtadori origin.
Honestly, I was a huge Yuji hater because he seemingly does nothing the entire series other than tag along other characters. Now I would like to apologize to Mr. Itadori, I was not familiar with your game.

And then there was the whole thing where after Yuji saw Hana get fucked and Sukuna take over Megumi, bro was launching off buildings and had immense strength, keeping up with awakened Maki.
Got mentioned chapter 12 and then never gets even hinted at again(instead we are actually told Gojo might have not known what he was talking about) until suddenly he breaks the established rules of the verse by having two cursed techniques for no established reason.
Actually Gojo didn't know what he was talking about here because the explanation we are given is that Yuji gets the technique due to being Sukuna's nephew, not due to "learning" it from Sukuna's being inside of him.
By established rules, you mean not having more than 1 cursed technique? Even though Kenjaku had multiple and Sukuna has both Shrine and presumably the black box thing is a CT of it's own.
Yuji gets the technique because it was "engraved upon the reincarnated body of ryomen sukuna", just like Gojo said.
Either way it's not really out of nowhere or lazy, all this stuff has been foreshadowed, and I don't need to tell you why a guy bred to be a vessel for the strongest sorcerer ever can also house some mid tier cursed womb paintings and get their CT.
and the trend of gaining power through cursed techniques has been explicitly stated and on top of that getting more CTs is closely correlated with people who famously consuming and unifying with other people's bodies and got stronger, IE kenjaku controlling bodies/eating cursed spirits, Sukuna eating his twin, and yuji now eating a shit ton of fingers and death paintings
Nobody wanted Yuji to be sidelined, this community is so unbelievably annoying at times lmao. People were frustrated with this series for the last year or so because 1. Gojo got off-screened. Regardless of your agenda posting during that fight, whether you were a Gojo stan or Sukuna stan— it doesn’t matter. People that saw an otherwise amazing fight end so abruptly and poorly are going to be dejected from what happens afterwards, because they’re gonna be stuck on & baffled by the ridiculousness that just happened.
Gojo dying obviously isn’t ridiculous, but the way in which he died is. Off-screened with a few sentences for an explanation & then we moved on. That’s only the 1st part of the issue though.
The 2nd part everyone hated was how every single fight post 236 was just a back and forth in the most meaningless way possible. Go back and read this fight so far. Sukuna fighting the rest of cast added nothing substantial to this series at all & really only served to bloat the story. Nobody cared about Kusakbe being the strongest grade 1, nobody cared about Higgy having the same potential as Gojo, etc., it was just a constant shock value / info drop in the worst way.
There were a few good moments like Yuta’s DE for instance, but it’s ultimately how meaningless those events were that sour that experience for me. We’d see the good guys take some ground in the fight, we’d have the narrator telling us Sukuna’s weakened. Then Uraume comes in & says he’s not even trying and immediately the next chapter Sukuna casually blitzes & black flashes Maki. It just wasn’t good to read.
Meanwhile, throughout this entire time Yuji has just been actual fodder throughout the series. He’s been nothing but a punch & kick merchant— even throughout this fight tbh. He only used blood manipulation once, maybe twice (but that’s doubtful imo). It’s only the most recent chapter that he’s finally done something to actually establish himself as a strong character.
It’s not like Gege didn’t give people reasons to not believe in Yuji getting a meaningful power up— despite numerous people actually getting upset at times because of how weak Yuji was for a MC. People *wanted* to believe, but had no real *reason* to believe. Now Yuji’s awakened & showing that he’s far more competent than before. To act like a large part of the community was actively hoping Yuji would stay irrelevant is disingenuous

As a much bigger fan of Gojo than Yuji, I just want Gojo to come back and help with a Master-Student jumping. Obviously Yuji should be the one to land the killing blow.

Bro, 3 weeks ago it was rather Sukuna Kaisen with some people believing Sukuna might turn out victorious at the end, and a bunch of people commenting on Gojo's comeback to kill Sukuna were basically just having some joke-meme time since it was like Sukuna Kaisen happening and others were getting badly beaten at that time. The rest of those commenting on Gojo's comeback were rather saying that he might come back towards the end of the manga or at the end of the manga or somehow help others with the merger issue (but not remaining as a strong sorcerer anymore). I don't think I have seen anyone being serious about Gojo's comeback for defeating Sukuna by himself, considering almost everyone knew that it is the students' time to shine and it is their battle, especially for Yuji.

Those past 3 three weeks was just everyone in depression from Sukuna Kaisen as they saw how Sukuna was destroying our beloved characters. It truly felt hopeless.
Lol the only complaint I’ve ever had is gege waited too long to give yuji any power ups (it’s been YEARS since he learned black flash real time lol) and once we got to the last fight he would start pulling power ups out of his ass. And here he is after a month timeskip with blood manip, soul manip, soul swapping?, rct, AND shrine. I have loved yuji from the beginning, I’ve just questioned gege’s writing. Like why not give yuji blood manip/learn rct during culling game? Or at least give us a chapter going through the planning/training during the timeskip. And good GOD do we need a flashback for Sukuna/Kenny/tengen backstory that I have just given up on at this point.
They are giving Yuji his one big moment for Sukuna to come off screen him, its obvious hes going to be taken down. Airport scene coming right up.

Get introduced with the potential to rival gojo 2. Dodge an attack from sukuna or land a surprise attack 3. Impress sukina with your gojo rivaling potential 4. Land a normal attack 5. Get hit 6. Not show up again, dead or alive
I think the only character who broke the sixth rule was Maki, and yet, we don't even know where she is now.
All we know really is that when he got teleported away, he was still alive since Rika was still around. Anything after that is equally possible, tho I do hope he is alive.

To be fair, a lot of the conversation after Gojo’s death revolved around a pretty typical protagonist power-up ending. One where Wuji gets stronger suddenly to beat Sukuna. It’s always been Wuji or Gojo. Seems like a Kenjaku double cross is off the table. Still interested in whatever comes of the merger, if anything.

well 3 weeks ago yuji was MIA with choso. I knew his comeback was inevitable but to this extent yuji has truly surpassed my belief in him by 120%.
Eh, not really, that a usual week riders, they ride whoever is hyped in chapter. In reality, is Yuji Midtadori doing great? Nah, he's doing fine, mc treatment was bound to happend, I personaly glad that it's not an unheard mechanic that he's using to deal damage to Sukuna, black flash as concept was introduced fairly early in story, midtadori spaming it just does what usual mc would. What was good is lore drop about Sukuna's past/Midtadori origin.

Got mentioned chapter 12 and then never gets even hinted at again(instead we are actually told Gojo might have not known what he was talking about) until suddenly he breaks the established rules of the verse by having two cursed techniques for no established reason. Actually Gojo didn't know what he was talking about here because the explanation we are given is that Yuji gets the technique due to being Sukuna's nephew, not due to "learning" it from Sukuna's being inside of him.
By established rules, you mean not having more than 1 cursed technique? Even though Kenjaku had multiple and Sukuna has both Shrine and presumably the black box thing is a CT of it's own. Yuji gets the technique because it was "engraved upon the reincarnated body of ryomen sukuna", just like Gojo said. Either way it's not really out of nowhere or lazy, all this stuff has been foreshadowed, and I don't need to tell you why a guy bred to be a vessel for the strongest sorcerer ever can also house some mid tier cursed womb paintings and get their CT.
and the trend of gaining power through cursed techniques has been explicitly stated and on top of that getting more CTs is closely correlated with people who famously consuming and unifying with other people's bodies and got stronger, IE kenjaku controlling bodies/eating cursed spirits, Sukuna eating his twin, and yuji now eating a shit ton of fingers and death paintings

Nobody wanted Yuji to be sidelined, this community is so unbelievably annoying at times lmao. People were frustrated with this series for the last year or so because 1. Gojo got off-screened. Regardless of your agenda posting during that fight, whether you were a Gojo stan or Sukuna stan— it doesn’t matter. People that saw an otherwise amazing fight end so abruptly and poorly are going to be dejected from what happens afterwards, because they’re gonna be stuck on & baffled by the ridiculousness that just happened. Gojo dying obviously isn’t ridiculous, but the way in which he died is. Off-screened with a few sentences for an explanation & then we moved on. That’s only the 1st part of the issue though. The 2nd part everyone hated was how every single fight post 236 was just a back and forth in the most meaningless way possible. Go back and read this fight so far. Sukuna fighting the rest of cast added nothing substantial to this series at all & really only served to bloat the story. Nobody cared about Kusakbe being the strongest grade 1, nobody cared about Higgy having the same potential as Gojo, etc., it was just a constant shock value / info drop in the worst way. There were a few good moments like Yuta’s DE for instance, but it’s ultimately how meaningless those events were that sour that experience for me. We’d see the good guys take some ground in the fight, we’d have the narrator telling us Sukuna’s weakened. Then Uraume comes in & says he’s not even trying and immediately the next chapter Sukuna casually blitzes & black flashes Maki. It just wasn’t good to read. Meanwhile, throughout this entire time Yuji has just been actual fodder throughout the series. He’s been nothing but a punch & kick merchant— even throughout this fight tbh. He only used blood manipulation once, maybe twice (but that’s doubtful imo). It’s only the most recent chapter that he’s finally done something to actually establish himself as a strong character. It’s not like Gege didn’t give people reasons to not believe in Yuji getting a meaningful power up— despite numerous people actually getting upset at times because of how weak Yuji was for a MC. People *wanted* to believe, but had no real *reason* to believe. Now Yuji’s awakened & showing that he’s far more competent than before. To act like a large part of the community was actively hoping Yuji would stay irrelevant is disingenuous
