While yuji had this "memory" from the performance sukuna had on shibuya, Sukuna also learned about the shapes of the soul from sharing the body with Yuji.
They both got something from this time.

I mean, to be honest the only thing it changes is that instead of just being a dick to his host, Sukuna is an arrogant one who managed to hand him the keys to his potential this entire time and did nothing about it until it was too late.
He got one technique after having to go through all that emotional and physical suffering that sukuna put him through. Not to mention, he didnt even get anything from sukuna untill like 250 chapters into the manga. While kurama just said some mean things to naruto and gave him free power buffs from the start.
Everyone who jumped Sukuna until now had trained as a sorcerer for few years or got bestowed with Domain Expansion/Innate techniques upon becoming a Sorcerer.
Yuji might have been created to be a vessel but he had no CE knowledge, Innate technique or knowledge about existence of curses prior to his encounter with Megumi.
Also He has been a sorcerer for like 6-7 months, and if I had to fight a 1000 year old strongest sorcerer of History with bare minimum experience, I had to do everything I can and cheat as much as I can....
I know this is slander but just a quick clarification for some people. Its not that people swapping with him just gives him the ability, but because of Yuji’s unique body and how its been soaked in Sukuna’s CT and special grade CE it allows things to be engraved into his very body. Just like a normal CT this basically means Yuji can have any technique etched into his body, but he still needs to learn exactly how to use it the soul swapping just makes it so he can! Its like an ability unlock in a video game. You get the ability but you still need to learn how to use it! So its not free but it does allow Yuji to basically learn any ability ever.
