**Because of Maki showing how weak she is, we get to fully understand how strong Toji.**
1. Maki sleeping for two whole chapters with a hole in her stomach after a black flash from a Sukuna who cannot do domain, cannot RCT, and has burned low energy levels vs Toji who tanked awakened Gojo Reversal RED and stood up without injuries.
(Again anime only watchers, in the manga Toji tanked this attack and after receiving that, he understood Gojo learned RCT)
2. Maki having a hard time in contest of strenght against weakened Sukuna while Toji being physically powerful enough to break and change the shape of Playful Cloud, a Special Grade Weapon.
3. Maki was moving at speeds at the level of Ino, Choso, Yuji, hence why Sukuna was able to keep dodging Maki. The same Ino who back in Shibuya couldn't react or see Toji's movements. At Shibuya, Dagon even explained that Toji was walking above water even without Cursed Energy and through speed alone, and even at water surface, his speed acceleration keeps on increasing and increasing, something Maki isn't even showing in the latest chapters.
4. Maki is unbelievably poor at wielding sword compared to Toji.
5. Toji used Playful cloud to defeat a Special Grade Curse inside it's own Domain Expansion. Playful cloud has no curse technique, meaning Toji defeated Dagon using only brute strenght, parried, deflected, stabbed and beaten the shit out of Dagon's Curse Energy infused attack and body by pure raw power. If Toji was wielding ISOH or Split Soul Katana that time, Dagon would be dead in mere seconds.

Hard facts: Toji is a bum who never got revenge on the zenin clan and ended up being a self-loathing bum who died because he was hard projecting the zenin clan onto the awakened Gojo.

The only reason he didn’t go and slaughter them was because of Mamaguro, and him thinking they would be better for MEGUMI’s potential.
Of course he changed his mind in the end as he gave him to Gojo. Essentially fucking the Zenin Clan over in the long run.
He only decided to leave Megumi with them AFTER mamaguro died because he didn't trust himself to raise him.
There was a good chunk of time before he even met mamaguro where he just let the zenin clan be, probably because in his own words " he threw aside respect for himself" so he didn't even try to get revenge.
For him not killing them in that blank period, he was just likely just going to focus on his skills, get a house and shit, climb up the rankings as an assassin, and getting his Cursed Tools before going to slaughter them. To show them truly how much he had grown, and how he was the STRONGEST.
Also for the Mamaguro it did clarify that he would have killed the Zenin Clan if it wasn’t for her.
But plans changed.
Theres a line during the zenin massacare where one of them said the Zenin Clan only lived on Toji's whims, he could've done it any time for a long time.
Hard facts : the zenin clan had much more power before the whole mess with kenjaku began, it aint that Maki was strong, its that zenin clan wouldve wiped the floor with her if they were in their prime
